i love Movie Park, its the park i grew up on and ive seen the glory days of Warner Brothers/six flags, the bad days under Star Parks, and then finally finding its way under Parques Reunidos. theyve achieved really much in the last few years and are slowly getting back to the quality that Warner Brothers once offered. The newer rides are really well done and some re way better than whar Warner Brothers does today in WB Movie World in Australia. Im really hyped for the future of the park. This years Halloween Horror Festival has been absolutely amazing, the new show is incredibly high quality, and the new haunted house is stunning and certainly the start of a new chapter for the park, in terms of set design and features. Next year, there will be an all new stunt show, with a new set and story. im really hyped for that. the current stunt show is kinda boring tho, it used to be really good just a few years ago tho, so im certain the new show will be a banger. they showed that they can do incredible shows this halloween, so it has to be good. I really hope at some point we will get a replacement for Santa Monica Pier tho, the area just doesnt really offer much, other than walking next to a nice pond for a few meters. it looks nice, but it feels kinda useless. especially if you consider that there used to be a really cool duelling coaster in its place. unfortunately they had to tear it down because of statical problems. the ride wasnt allowed to operate anymore bc Warner Brothers fucked something up during the construction and it became to unsafe to ride. Unfortunately the park was owned by Star Parks during that time, so they replaced it with a useless kids area, in the same year that they opened Nickland. it was kinda rushed, since it wasnt planned. they just had to fill the gap, while focussing on their main project, Nickland. concerning MP Express: yeah, it looks absolutely terrible and i really dont get why. when they built the ride, they actually expanded the western themed area and built lots of new building fascades, but then placed the ride in an unthemed dead end with zero theming. they couldve used the money they spent on the fascades to integrade those into the ride. it was six flags tho, so what do you expect haha. i really hope they tear it down. even without a replacement, it would be better than this. the ride just destroys the immersion that the area delivers really well otherwise. also it rides like total shit. concerning one train operation: the people living next to the park have always had problems with the noise coming from the park, so they had to sign an agreement that they can only operate one train during weekdays and on national holidays. the park wont be able to change that anytime soon, even if they want to. they also tried adding 2 extra hours at halloween horror festival (until 12pm) and they were only able to do it one season, after that they werent allowed to anymore bc of the noise. its really complicated, but the park prefers to have a nice relationship to its neighbors.
Thanks for clarifying several things on the park. That stinks the park can only run one train on weekdays and holidays, but at least they have fast operations to mitigate the issue. I was thinking it was to save maintenance costs, which is what I see at the US parks owned by them. I am glad Parques Reunidos is treating the park well!
Update: the new stunt show could not hold up to the standarts. the set turned out fine, not really my style but its okay, but the show itself is just bad. Also the stunts are not really integrated into the already mediocre story and the dialogues are just awkward and pre-recorded by really bad voice actors. still leagues above the Movie World Australia version tho, Hollywood Stunt Driver 2 is just the worst.
Parques reunidos also manages Warner Madrid, which probably it’s almost the same park. Same vibes for sure. The stunt show it’s the same. Only difference; Madrid has the police academy theme
@@CanobieCoaster actually it's because of noise levels in general. I don't really understand why, because I expect a smooth RMC to run quiter than this neckbreaker by RCCA, but the officials stated that in an interview. From my understanding it's, that the wood structure acts as a kind of insulation to the rest of the park. They are concidering to fit it with Titan track though. Another reason they don't wanna Change anything big there yet is because it seems to be the biggest crowd pleaser in the park and has the highest ridership of all attractions. Seems like people enjoy to hurt their backs😅
Canobie Coaster would say: The other two family coasters are in Nickland. One is Ghost Chasers, which is a Mack wild mouse. If I ask you, so how would you think about those Mack wild mouse coasters: Ghost Chasers at Movie Park Germany Ricochet at Carowinds Wild Mouse at Hersheypark X-treme Racers at Legoland Billund Fly at Canada's Wonderland Apple Zapple at Kings Dominion Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm
Even with the not-so-optimal operations, I still think that Parques Reunidos buying it was by far one of the best things that could have happened to the Park. But at least Bandit always opened late and closed early, IIRC the reason given back when the ride was new was that they did so to keep the amount of hours of noise down for nearby locals. Don´t know how much truth is in that rason though since the ride was built as far away from the nearby town as possible. The mentioned train connection is pretty much as perfect as it can get for a Park. The train station is just a 5-10 Minute walk from the main entrance of the Park. It´s pretty much just across the street of the exit for the Parking Lot that is next to the entrance.
@@CanobieCoaster Good question, it´s been a few years since I last visited the event and won´t make it this year either. Plus we where mostly doing the haunt mazes once they opened while mixing in maybe a ride on the Free Fall or Star Trek if they happen to have a short line.
Imagine, they look similar, to ride those Mack wild mouse coasters: Ghost Chasers at Movie Park Germany Fly at Canada's Wonderland Apple Zapple at Kings Dominion Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm
I was asking how would you think about Mack wild mouse coasters, examples like Ghost Chasers at Movie Park Germany, Ricochet at Carowinds, Apple Zapple at Kings Dominion, Technic Coaster at Legoland California, and Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm? Seeing in photos and videos I think all them look like they are to ride. If I recommend you riding them with kids. Ghost Chasers, Ricochet, Apple Zapple, Technic Coaster, Coast Rider.
I noticed that in many parks with a fastpass system, the waiting lines are kept artificially long to sell these fastpasses. Although 2 or 3 trains would be available only one runs. What I also experienced was that although 2 trains were running, only one was ever filled. The second train drove along empty all the time until the queue had reached a certain length. Since I don't want to support such money-making, I generally don't buy any fast passes and I don't visit such parks again after my first visit. If all guests did this, such practices would soon be over and we would all have a better parking experience. But I'm not naive and I know that many people are selfish. Consequently, I do not believe that all guests would participate. Especially since there is no one who would initiate and control such an action.
some do that, but not movie park. if a train is driving empty, its probably for a technical reason. i actually noticed at movie park, fast pass holders dont really get a prefered bording, since they dont enter the station via their own line, but the migrate the line back to the normal q-line right BEFORE the station (in most rides), so even fast pass holders have to que up in the regular bording line
I don't care if the operations are not the best. Any park with.this great of theming and size would automatically make my list. Plus the ride lineup still looks worth enough if not the very best. Personally thought it looks like a full day park for me.
it can even be a 2 day park, expecially if you have kids. nickland will take at least half the day, and then the family rides and shows, food breaks in between, etc. if its a buisy day during the holidays, you will defo need 1.5 days, since waits can get pretty long and opening times are quite short (7-8 hours, sometimes 10 but not often). not as long a universal or disney tho haha. but van helsing does have a 2-3 hour wait sometimes. if you go during weekends tho, its mostly 20-30 minutes.
Gotta love the consistent operational inconsistencies at Parques Reunidos parks. Not the worst once you know how to navigate them, but frustrating nonetheless (of the four I’ve been to in the chain, Idlewild and Dutch Wonderland are easily the worst offenders I’ve encountered).
It looks like a great park, I like the theming of universal parks but don’t like the shows because I don’t think they belong in amusement parks. Most likely I’ll never make it out of the us/Canada to get here tho.
A collection that honestly isn't horrible but they are missing 1 big thing and thats just more stand oylut thrill coasters, something modern. The best ride here is obviously Star Treck and that's the stand out but it's not a great stand out, it's not super intense or anything as it's just a Mack Launch. Bandit and the SLC are the oy other 2 actual thrill coasters and both of those are lets just say NOT THAT GOOD. Other than this the park is pretty great, it surprises me how many dark ride/coaster/attractions they have here.
I was waiting for this review for a long time it is a park that I would definitely like to visit And by the way I would like that if MP Express was replaced that they replace it with a Vekoma roller coaster Something like hals über kopf And I think the same with bandit That should be rmc'd

Every west-german enthusiast having that love/hate relationship with Moviepark >>>
I know it's a polarizing park.
They can’t RMC the wood coaster btw. The park it’s next to peoples houses, they won’t give the license to do the work that requires
Parques reunidos also manages Warner Madrid, which probably it’s almost the same park. Same vibes for sure.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't realize they can't modify the wood coaster due to the homes. Is it the noise from construction?

If I had a nickel every time I confused dusseldorf with doofenshmirtz I'd have 2 nickels which isn't alot but its weird it happened twice
Lol

True

Does Bandit run for their haunt event?

While Ghost Chasers is the standard model, the later two are large park models. And I was also asking you about Coast Rider?
Coast Rider runs worse due to the trims and shin guards.
But about Coast Rider, what is your biggest issue, the trims or the shin guards? Why?
Shin guards since they hurt.

I will not ride Coast Rider again with those painful shin guards. No other mouse has them.

Their best work it’s Madrid probably.
Round park, you can easily navigate it
Hi was wondering cam you review screamin eagle at six flag st louis?
No. My rides in 2018 were great but my 2020 ones were just ok. Don't have a good grasp on that one.
It looks like a great park, I like the theming of universal parks but don’t like the shows because I don’t think they belong in amusement parks. Most likely I’ll never make it out of the us/Canada to get here tho.
I like shows. I don't always see them, but they can serve as a nice break and/or pull crowds from the rides.
i think a good show is better than any coaster. but id choose a bad coaster over a bad show any day.

RMC Bandit would fix that.
I was born in 1968 and me and this park is almost the same age and I just turned 56 in April this year ok?
It really was reborn in the 90s though.
Yes it went through some changes but I still love this Park ok?

I hope Bandit gets RMCed.
The new colors on MP Express look like a paint bucket vomited all over it the original colors looked cool though. I actually like the train colors
I hate it.
Did you like the new or the old color scheme of MP Xpress at Movie Park Germany?
It's an ugly ride.
Ah yes the park with the 1, 2 punch of terrible coasters! Truly incredible how they have them next to each other to!
Star trek is pretty good tho!
The placement is perfect.
Oddly reminiscent of Canada's Wonderland's terrible 1-2 punch of Time Warp and Flight Deck which also sit next to each other.
Woah it had so many closures
Yes
The name sounds like it’d belong to a chain of other parks
Lol
Ghost Chasers is a Mack wild mouse coaster at Movie Park Germany, so how would you think about those to ride:
Wild Mouse at Hersheypark
Ricochet at Carowinds
Fly at Canada's Wonderland
Great Lego Race at Legoland Florida
Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm
Try all of them.
Coast Rider is the only one I would not ride again.
Would you like to go to Movie Park Germany? What do you think?
It's a fun park.
Gauntlet of pain, what means?
Two awful rides.
I think many like this park
It's fun.
