THANKS! I had several stalls - I have one on video. I said out loud "How does an automatic transmission bike STALL???" Going to check into this right now.
I want one of these bikes. Not because I don't like shifting, its a skill I enjoy honing, but because this bike just seems like a fun nice ride. I like the idea of the automatic to get one thing off the mind in order to focus on more.
Honda sets the idle RPM super low for emissions purposes, we noticed this on our 450L enduros. It just needs a fraction of a turn on the idle screw and it fixed every issue we had regarding flame outs and off-idle pick up.
Mine stalled once at slow speed and I was puzzled as to why it happened. Now I know. Thanks for covering it. It doesn't sound like that big a deal, I can live with it. But will probably talk to the dealer during next service.
Thank for your videos about the NC 750 (Installation of USB Charger etc). With the MJ 2021 several things are different to the fomer models. In Germany the DOT provides the owner adresses to Honda (by the VIN information). So the importer sent the recall information by mail.
Hello, Yes indeed I also have the same type of weed on the DCT of 2021 and here in Belgium I received a memo from Honda concerning the problem and therefore at the next dealership visit after winter we regularize the problem. Yours, and good luck.
Thanks for the shoutout! Glad the fix worked for you too...I noticed such a big difference in how the bike runs now. I still can't find the oem usb charger anywhere. Wonder if it's due to supply issues that are happening everywhere.
5:26 I figured it all out... I have a 2012 NC700X and it has always done this within the first 2 or 3 minutes and I have learned to use a little more gas and be more careful when letting the clutch out ... then I realized since you have DCT and I have manual shift it is not possible for you to compensate in this way.
Thanks for the video. My experience with the DCT 2021 nc 750 was not as simple. I had serious stalling issues at least once every ride .Had it on video .Dealer and Honda of USA were unable to help at the time .Keeping the bike for weeks at the time and doing nothing about it .So a brand new bike sitting at the dealer over 3 times. No offers by Honda on a potentially lethal problem. I ended up selling the bike at a loss to another dealer ...about 6 weeks later they recalled the bikes only after people got injured in Europe...what a shame Honda they knew about the problem. Curious if the reflashing really works .Hope it will for all owners of the bike. I also noticed a lot of heat coming from the right side to my foot. Anyone else had the problem? Thanks
I’m facing the same problem with my Rebel 1100 DCT. Check my page you will see what I have experienced. US Honda won’t do shit about it. The bike has been in the shop for 4 months now. I’m going to trade it in for a manual NC750X soon. Love Honda. F US Honda Powersports
Thanks for the comment. Sorry to hear of your problems with the NC750. It's strange that there would be that much variation in symptoms among owners. Mine only stalled once before the recall fix but I noticed stuttering at low throttle all the time. It has been great since the service appointment to update the ECU.
Took my bike in today for the recall procedure. As I left to return home I noticed that the Drive indication in the lower right corner of the screen was pulsing from min to max repeatedly. I was in standard mode and it should have been showing max! Returned to the dealer who reset the DCT ,which resolved the issue. Technician said it was probably caused by the update. Anyway did a 120 mile ride and the bike runs really well.
I have a 2020 NC750XD that has been at the dealer for a month now, for a low RPM miss, and stalling as I pulled away form intersections which was kind of scary here in California. It sounds like the exact same problem as the 2021 had. They are swapping the PCM today. I hope they can fix it. I am very worried about the cost of that much time in the shop. Mine is far more notifiable that yours was,
Thanks for the video. Also applies btw to Forza 750 and X-ADV. Just checked my Forza VIN on honda.at. 2nd recall in 4 months of ownership :) greetings from Austria
@@KSSTUDIOS It`s a fact. Today I biked about 217 miles in the usual calm style with full tank, the reserve caught blinking for 167 miles. The average fuel consumption on the display was 10,8 gallons, it was usually 9,5. :-(
I just purchased a 2022 and haven’t taken delivery yet because I’m having some accessories added. I did check the VIN number with the link provided and got “no results found.” Thanks for your video. Btw, how do you like the windscreen extension?
I have the stock Honda high screen which when you add a deflector (Cheap eBay) seems to work fine. Good luck waiting for accessories needed to wait 6 months for mine in the UK
@@KSSTUDIOS Would you be able to put on a Puig "Naked Universal Windscreen" or a Puig "Custom II Universal Windscreen"? Both can be had at Revzilla, and probably offer more wind protection then the correct first-party Honda screen. If you only want to do clip-on stuff, Puig makes a "Clip-On Windscreen Deflector" that is noticeably different than their "Clip-On Windscreen Visor" that leaves a gap between windscreen and visor, that clip-on deflector is more an extension of the windscreen (vertically) than the visor imo. Would be curious to see your thoughts on them.
It's kind of weird that the manufacturer didn't notify you of the recall. I never let anyone else touch my vehicles so there's no way I'd know about a recall from just being in the shop - I've never had a bike in anyone's shop other than my garage.
I still have problems with this bike, even after software update. It doesn’t stall anymore but it kicks three times when trying to start driving in 20% cases. anyone with same problem? It is Honda NC 750x 2021.
I was specifically interested in getting a Honda DCT model after taking an Africa Twin for a test ride a while back. It's not for everybody, but it has been an enjoyable bike for the past 10 months.
THANKS!

Going to check into this right now.
I guess I was lucky that mine only stalled once before I had the recall fix applied.

Totally agree. It's a different riding experience for sure.

Mine definitely ran smoother after the update. I highly recommend.

Just got my recall in the mail and I haven't even ridden her yet. Hope to get it done before riding season begins.

Yeah, I think a lot of parts are still hard to find right now.
Thanks for sharing, glad everything worked out well 👌
Thanks 👍
Had mine updated yesterday. I can't say I noticed much of a difference on the ride home, but I never had a stall issue in the first place. 🤷♂️

Thanks for the comment, that info could come in handy for others.
For information. A UA-camr called “Exeter rider” has posted a short video on how to reset the DCT on the NC750X 2021.
Happy New Year! Great video.

Had mine done 2 weeks ago in the UK (recall only got to Honda UK Early January). Only done 150 miles since due to bad weather, seems to be fixed
im old enough to remember carbs on a bike, the blip response is soo different in injectors fitted bike, they're more like an on/ off switch generally

Thanks for mentioning the other models, I meant to talk about those 🙂
Done 1,600 more miles no with no problems😊
Reflashed two weeks ago, seems to have increased fuel consumption a little after procedure.
I noticed the same. It makes sense if the original fuel map was running lean and potentially causing stalling issues.

Good thing manual clutch motorcycles never stall. 😅

I'm still happy with the Puig windscreen visor. It's not the greatest on the highway but it does cut enough wind to make the ride manageable.
Hi Roger - I haven't had time to research the '22 yet. Did they change anything from '21?
@@jimalcantara6638 I think it's pretty much the same.

I'm really interested to see how long of a wait it will be, but I'm confident that the recall notice will show up eventually.
Recall notice just showed up today in the mail. So, confirmed that Honda is sending these out in the states now.

That sounds really bad. Fortunately, I never had any further issues after the software update. Best to catch that while it's still under warranty.
Do you wear an airbag jacket? Thinking of getting one
Not yet, but I've been looking into them.
How are you liking your helmet now? I am looking at an Arai
It's a great helmet. I've had quieter ones but the comfort level is excellent on this one.
@@KSSTUDIOS that's what I'm hoping to hear. Thank you for your help
Does this also apply to the manual transmission models as far as wireless throttle control?
So far, I haven't heard any recall announced for the manual models.

Any reason you chose this bike over a VStrom?
