I have learned more in an afternoon of watching these videos than I have actually playing the game Granted most of my time has been spend in the submarine editor-
It’s very much worth noting how creatures resist damage, there’s a modifier applied to the damage they take whenever they get hit Burn damage has that modifier the highest compared to other damages. Also i’m not sure how the flamer/steam cannon applies that damage, does each „cloud” apply damage?
As far as I can tell, Compound N is a medical alternative to UEX, while UEX is functionally no different than C-4; which, unlike UEX can be used to craft other explosives, like Exploding coilgun ammo and the like. Volatile Compound N is functionally no different from its non-volatile variant, except it degrades over time; it explodes once it reaches zero. Dirty bombs are handheld nukes, basically, which require Incendium to craft. Speaking of which, Incendium explosives apparently don't do a ton of hull damage but instead starts fires. Haven't tested it though, so take it with a grain of salt.
(I write through a translator) UEX has an explosion radius of 8 meters, while the rest of the explosives have about 6 meters with minor differences, C-4 has more damage to the hull, while the N connection is stronger on living creatures C-4+ is similar to normal but sets fire to the area explosion and UEX has the lowest damage
Conclusion? Plasma Cutter wins. ((No but seriously, both weapons are quite literally the worst weapons in the game and even with the pyromaniac perk are not worth it. Do yourself a favour and save the fuel for welders and sell the weapons for money))
Ik this is an old comment but these things aren't actually too bad if you can reliably fuel them. Their damage can affect multiple enemies at once, they clean up ballast flora very fast, and the flamer's destructive tendencies are very manageable if you have something like a PUCS, which lets you go crazy with it in outpost missions. They're niche and not always useful but they have moments where they really shine
Works even better if you put an oxygen tank in it
Lol
Meet the spy
Clown detected
Works great against flora
Best way to use these things Is to put on a PUCS suit, board the enemy ship and commit space war crimes, Great video as always.
using nukes also works for this
how to board an enemy sub? they just get away too quickly :(
@@coel3572 Blast them enough so they sink/take out their energy grid, and get in either by hatch of a newly made hole in the wall.
2:40 you wont burn if you have sufficient weapons skill, which is 40
I love your comparison videos! Do you think you can compare all the lethal poisons together next? (Cyanide, Morbusine, Radiotoxin, and Sufforin)
That's a good idea, I DO want to know which is most lethal.
1:10 tip: turn OFF the ballast tanks. (so it don't pump in water) and then burn it

Very important question can the steam cannon scale off of the mechanic skill that buffs flame attacks
Yea I think so, same with alien pistols
@@sadao2022 Maybe you mean Ancient weapon?
Another thing for flamer: Can be found inside pirate submarines (surprisingly often)
I forgot the steam blower even existed
Автор ты большой молодец, продолжай в том же духе, у тебя хорошие и познавательные видео!

燒傷 意外地減少大量的 HP 上限,可以交換使用兩種武器造成快速的殺傷?
What's the difference between the different in game explosives? like Compound N, Volatile Compound N, Dirty Bomb, C-4, IC-4, and UEX.

in general, similar information is on the wiki of the game
@@baronprocrastination1722 Dirty bombs are not nukes, but they leaving a big area of nuclear waste.
The flamer is probably best for boarding pirate ships or sumthin... setting fire to your own sub is a bit problematic
所以 !! 原型蒸氣炮是使用燃料啊!! 我以為是使用氧氣瓶呢 !
personally, i prefer the flamethro- i mean, the FLAMENWERFER!!!!
hans get ze flammenwerfer!
thanks for the video, nowi know why it keeps explode when i use the steam canon
Conclusion? Plasma Cutter wins.

steam cannon is great for annoying small creatures so i like using it
Ikr if only creatures could catch fire lol
