I watched the video first about a month ago. Then I tried it again. If u would just step it down a notch in speed it can be followed. I did it but I had to stop every time there was a new row, watch it then go back. Highly recommend a slower version of it for other crocheters. I’ve been crocheting for over 50 years and have done a lot of ur work. Update this one so others may enjoy ur work. Thank u Jonna. I know u can do it for us. ❤

I didn’t really care for this pattern very much. Possibly why the tutorial didn’t turn out as well.
I will definitely consider updating this though with your kind words in mind. I hope you have a wonderful day❤️❤️❤️❤️

Jonna, this blanket is beautiful!! For most of my projects, I am using one of YOUR tutorials. Maybe it’s my age, but I had to keep backing up in this one because you didn’t crochet at least 2 or 3 times to show us how. You just showed how to make the picot one time. This is by no means a complaint; I just wanted to let you know that maybe some of us need to be shown more than once. I already learned that I have to play back slower than normal! But I love your voice and your instructions as you show us how to do new things. You make learning fun! And your nails are always so pretty! Thank you for all you do! ❤

Thank you so much for this video! I crocheted right along with you. Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. Your video wasn't overburdened with bakstory and word salad - THANK YOU SO MUCH for that. I crochet to alleviate anxiety and it's made so much worse by unnecessary talking so I really do appreciate when a video is concise- a rarity in crochet tutorials. I am making this blanket for a family who lost their home to fire last week and have a baby due in 4 days. Thank you for making the process easy ❤ God bless you

THANK YOU for doing this. Mikey at the crochet crowd made a tutorial for this blanket, but many of us find him difficult to follow. He also went over a few parts too quickly, and your video is as able to clarify that for me. I am having a problem though. I can do the pattern without issue, but my project end up too fluffy. It won't lay flat at all. I am using Bernat baby sport and Lion Brand baby soft, both a size 3 yarn, with a G hook. The picot row, especially, ends up looking too elevated. Not sure what to do.

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  6 років тому +1

I think your hook might be too big. Go down to a 3.5 or F 3.75.
You can also message me a photo to my Facebook page or Instagram or Etsy shop. I can check it out.
Double check you only have double arches at the corners.

Jonna Martinez, love his yarns and most of them are hand dyed! Aren’t the majority of his yarns wool, tho?

I know! Not sure if you could add it? These patterns are both by the same designer.

@@JonnaMartinezCrochet can you help me and tell me how to add it

I would start the shawl pattern and when it get to where the picot goes, switch to the blanket tutorial.
That would be how I would start I guess. Then go from there.

I love the pattern but have noticed you don't give yardage needed for average baby afghan

Why do you crochet so fast? When I try to stop the video, it is blurry. Pull hair time.

You need to slow down as your too fast. Beautiful pattern but I’m finding your commentary to fast

This is a beautiful pattern, but I think you go too fast and you need to finish the rounds even for an intermediate I had a hard time following you

I’m not sure I like this video, at 11.13 you explained there wasn’t any chain 3 between the v stitch and back post,
AFTER I had done the whole round, and had to take it all out, it’s like you are on a marathon, and can’t explain things quickly enough,
    I feel it’s Definitelynot a relaxing tutorial.
