That loss data is definitely incorrect. Andrew Perpetua who actually looks through footage found around 35 Ukrainian vehicles knocked out so far if you include civilian vehicles.

The news from the front are scarce, however today the Russo-Ukrainian war is on the front headlines again because of the story of how about 1000 Ukrainian soldiers have entered Ukraine. The media here is reporting it as if Russia is the one on the back foot and that Ukrainians are advancing, that the situation is far worse for the Russians than official Russian outlets will admit. And then I watch this video and the story is again the exact opposite. Nice to see propaganda hasn't changed at all since WWII.

When the front in Donbass is being ripped apart, the UAF high command sends troops, weapons and ammunition to stabilize the situation in.... Kursk 🤯 At this point, I don't even think they care anymore.
They only care about distracting Western audiences and their most die-hard delusional fanatics among their own population as long as they can in order to buy a little more time for themselves, I don't think anyone else believes a single thing they say at this point. It's really embarrassing to see how long it took for the regime's supporters to finally accept the basic reality that every participant in a conflict of this nature does war propaganda, and their claims will become increasingly outlandish and nonsensical if their situation is particularly dire and their war effort depends on the maintaining public's belief in the possibility of victory at all costs. Things don't magically become true just because you want them to be true and can't bring yourself to face reality. Its called defense in depth. Causing high attrition while trading territory. As the russian offensive is expected to culminate in the coming weeks, ukraines strategy is at risk if russia stops the offensive. Therefore they made an incursion into russia itself to make sure russia would have to stay on the offensive for political purposes once their eastern one has culminated. This would allow ukraine to continue to attrit the russian forces in a defensive stance and keep the casualty advantages.

The turtle tank for example has been very effective at countering drones for cheap but all indicates that they still perform meatwave attacks for example. I believe the river you are refferring to is the Dnipro which is the largest there is in ukraine. But even if we ignore the fact that this river is already a frontline near kherson, the river is only of strategic importance for the defender as it a great ostacle for rhe attacker to cross. I think maybe you mean the bigger settlements are the importance like zaporiszhie, and while it will not mean it being over at all, i will agree loosing those seetlements would be a big hit to their war effort. That being said. Even at this current stage with the offensive at its peak, it would take years to reach any coty of such level of significance. And that is if russia can sustain an offensive indefinitely, which it cannot, just like bakhmut and every other offensive on either side. It will culminate. Most estimates are in a few weeks. If the ukranian effort in kurs oblast continues to develop it is guaranteed to end soon as the russians relocates troops. They can only do this where they are already assaulting as that is where they have the numbers advantage. Also the belgorod and bryansk oblast is similarly lightly defended so putin most likely need to reinforce this one as well or face similar incursions which would be a show of weakness he cannot afford politically both domestically and internationally.

That loss data is definitely incorrect. Andrew Perpetua who actually looks through footage found around 35 Ukrainian vehicles knocked out so far if you include civilian vehicles.

Info I have out that area is Ukraine were heading for suja for obvious reasons and as some russian units pulled back they were hit by friendly fire , a Ka52 even taking out 2 of their own tanks. The advance is around 10km yet Russian Fans have a party over as quoted here , the taking of 1.6km. 10km is twice that of Russia's failed Kharkiv offensive. This comes from Russian sources

They said before even launching the operation that their only goals were to create a territorial buffer around Belgorod to put it further out of artillery range to prevent its metro area from being shelled and to force the UAF to divert troops and other scarce resources away from reinforcing the front lines in Donbas where they're urgently needed. The Russian incursion in the north accomplished exactly what it set out to do, all with a relatively small amount of troops that it can afford to open up new fronts with far more easily than Ukraine can. They never said they intended to capture Kharkiv or push down deeper into that part of the country and it's absurd to claim that they would even attempt to with only 30-40k troops set aside for that purpose.
Once again, Ukrainian propagandists can only portray themselves as victoriously thwarting Russian objectives by falsely attributing outlandish objectives to them that they never expressed or indicated with their actions in the first place. Pure cope.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that Ukraine launched the operation with 300 soldiers and 20 armored vehicles. Within 24 hours, they reported that 660 soldiers and 82 armored vehicles were destroyed (Numbers that the person in the comment above is repeating). It’s likely that these numbers are pulled straight out of their as*** and not credible. It’s even amusing to see people believing such claims, especially when even some pro-Russian Telegram channels have reported that the Ministry of Defense's report on those enemy losses is nonsense.

I've been laughing since the recent news from Ukraine. Zelensky went to check the fortifications. And the fortifications are really built and look good. But there is a problem, these fortifications are located in the Vinnytsia region, which is near Poland, not Russia. And if the Russians reach Vinnytsia, then Kiev has already fallen by that time.
As I understand it, Zelensky is telling the truth about the 1991 borders. But not December 1991, but March 1991.

The fortifications in Vinnitsa are most likely not for the Russians, but for the Ukrainians that are trying to flee from the mobilization. In that sense, they probably serve their intended purpose

These full scale war (where after every land grab digging in/fortifying is immediately needed and done) has been going on so long and moving back and forth in certain areas. Defensive lines once captured and pushed past don't magically disappear.. They are fixed up and will be used again if needed, which makes it much easier to take counter measures and plug holes.. I live in a small country in the middle of Europe. The news from the front are scarce, however today the Russo-Ukrainian war is on the front headlines again because of the story of how about 1000 Ukrainian soldiers have entered Ukraine. The media here is reporting it as if Russia is the one on the back foot and that Ukrainians are advancing, that the situation is far worse for the Russians than official Russian outlets will admit.
And then I watch this video and the story is again the exact opposite.

They only care about distracting Western audiences and their most die-hard delusional fanatics among their own population as long as they can in order to buy a little more time for themselves, I don't think anyone else believes a single thing they say at this point. It's really embarrassing to see how long it took for the regime's supporters to finally accept the basic reality that every participant in a conflict of this nature does war propaganda, and their claims will become increasingly outlandish and nonsensical if their situation is particularly dire and their war effort depends on the maintaining public's belief in the possibility of victory at all costs.
Things don't magically become true just because you want them to be true and can't bring yourself to face reality. Very sad situation, but countless people tried to warn them that these narratives didn't add up and they refused to stop and listen or even think critically about any of this until it was already too late.
Its called defense in depth. Causing high attrition while trading territory. As the russian offensive is expected to culminate in the coming weeks, ukraines strategy is at risk if russia stops the offensive. Therefore they made an incursion into russia itself to make sure russia would have to stay on the offensive for political purposes once their eastern one has culminated. This would allow ukraine to continue to attrit the russian forces in a defensive stance and keep the casualty advantages.

The turtle tank for example has been very effective at countering drones for cheap but all indicates that they still perform meatwave attacks for example. I believe the river you are refferring to is the Dnipro which is the largest there is in ukraine. But even if we ignore the fact that this river is already a frontline near kherson, the river is only of strategic importance for the defender as it a great ostacle for rhe attacker to cross. I think maybe you mean the bigger settlements are the importance like zaporiszhie, and while it will not mean it being over at all, i will agree loosing those seetlements would be a big hit to their war effort. That being said. Even at this current stage with the offensive at its peak, it would take years to reach any coty of such level of significance. And that is if russia can sustain an offensive indefinitely, which it cannot, just like bakhmut and every other offensive on either side. It will culminate. Most estimates are in a few weeks. If the ukranian effort in kurs oblast continues to develop it is guaranteed to end soon as the russians relocates troops. They can only do this where they are already assaulting as that is where they have the numbers advantage. Also the belgorod and bryansk oblast is similarly lightly defended so putin most likely need to reinforce this one as well or face similar incursions which would be a show of weakness he cannot afford politically both domestically and internationally.

It is not the land that UKR is losing. Their rate of human losses has doubled since last year. From around 700 per day to around 1500 per day. What a horrible tragedy and still no end in sight.

I think those losses don't mean KIA but, more of total casualties (killed, wounded, captured). However you look at it they are massive on both sides.
