Colin, you have underestimated how much you are considered a hero to the sailing community. Aperently even your heros considered you their hero. Stay humble , it does suit you. ❤❤❤
Colin maybe now you can see how famous you are too. Your humble, and giving nature is why I for one continue to follow you. Your life is adventurous, and you don’t even seem to notice. Thank you so much for showing us the sail GP, I have heard of it but never knew how sophisticated it really was. These boats are incredible!
Colin may not think he belongs among the ‘professional’ sailors but IMO he more than qualifies to stand in those ranks. I’ve never even been on a sailboat but I’ve come to love sailing through Colin and his crew. Every industry could hope to have an ambassador like Colin is for sailing.
So happy for you Colin that the Canadian team had you on their boat. You looked so happy and I imagine that would have been a once in a lifetime opportunity. I’m always so proud to be Canadian so I love that it was their boat you got on.
Colin, you and your mates really motivate me about life, not only sailing. your tenacity, ability to take the adversity in strides and enjoy the wonderful perks, more and more as your journey continues, keeping humble and sharing, giving on your travel, you are a model for all of us!!!
Great episode! A Neophyte like me gets to see the exciting world of yacht racing with all the technical wizardry we hear so much about! Awesome also to see Colin's image in that world where many of the sailors also follow Parlay around the world.
As an Americas cup fan for 35 years (Conner) Volvo Ocean same time (Cayard) and many teams since, I am amazed by the technology and speed of these boats. So happy for you and your crew that you have the chance to experience something so few ever do. Great video.
Colin you forget that you are a pebble, when thrown into the pond of life you cause the ripples, theses ripples travel, motivate and inspire for miles in all directions,
Colin, you said you were humbled, but you yourself are so very humble and don’t even realize it. We all watched you recover a multi million dollar yachts charter season by rebuilding the engine and basically saving everyone’s jobs and vacations with your fast thinking and engineering smarts. It’s no surprise everyone recognizes you dude, you’re a legend in your own right too! Don’t sell yourself short❤
And of course EVERYTHING you’ve done to recover Parlay, all of the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into it, and how far you’ve come, truly those guys probably look up to you! Bet none of them have done what you have. Love checking in every Sunday to see where yall are at and what crew are with you! Will definitely continue to keep watching!
As an engineer those missiles leave me awestruck. I'm praying for you to make it on Canada's boat. I've watched every piece of Sail GP material I can get my eyes on. So good luck here's hoping you make it and can't wait for next week's episode.
Sail GP is in Halifax this weekend …amazing to see up close…those boats are FAST….all crews are great ,but the Canadiens are doing us proud….Did an amazing “ fly by” for the grand stands and the place went crazy……..they said we have the largest crowd by three fold of all the events so far…hope to see Parley up this way someday……
Wow! Yesterday tally ho made way under sail the first time, and today parlay kncked it out of the park w a banger episode! F50!? I was not expecting that congratulations Collin you guys deserve all of it!
Awesome video, so cool to see the access you guys were given and how close to the action you were! No wonder you were so pumped when we lucky patrons when out on Saturday! Great watch and remembering the absolutely fun weekend! Thank you again Colin and Parlay
Wow best episode ever I wish it was longer what an exciting episode I love racing boats it’s amazing how 1.5 hrs long race only feels like 20 minutes has passed. Collin you’re so lucky to be from New Zealand have an entire country supporting you watching your ups and downs rebuilding Parlay.
Wow I Never Knew they sounded Like a Jet strange no one has recorded that sound when they televise the races Never Stop Learning In Life That's for Sure thanks
OMG! Colin you are even more “famous” than I realised! So fantastic to see what you were up to as I was driving down. You deserve it bro! Great to see my hot water bottles make it to screen Britt! 🤣 And lovely to see my mate Jackie. Xx WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!
Sail GP is definitely sweet. Caveat is that it's too restrictive but it makes sense as part of the bigger picture. They don't get to play with the boats, ever. So an absolute team vs team on level playing field. World Cup Racing doesn't just allow sailors to go head to head. It allows the designers, engineers, and inventors to go head to head as well. That's where the motherlode of innovation occurs. It attracts the best and brightest innovators. With that said omg I love these boats!
As a long time follower I feel so proud of you Colin, Jamie and the Parlay team, to be recognized by some amazing people just shows that what you guys do and share on Parlay really reflects the dedication, hard work and humility
This has to be the best episode you have published yet. Fantastic documentary and first person pov. I have gone from 0% to 1000% more knowledgeable about Sail GP. Brilliant, thank you all.
Legend seeing how open the Sail GP crew are so accommodating - next week's episode is going to be awesome!! I hope you are enjoying Minerva Reef!! Cheers Big Steve
Amazing episode guys!! So cool to see your patriotic side on how proud you were for Christchurch to be holding such an iconic event!! Can't wait until next Sunday's episode ❤️
This is such a greet episode. I’m now even more hooked on Sail GP. I think they need to do more behind the scenes work like this. Truly fascinating and so happy for you and the crew to enjoy this experience. Just don’t understand why they don’t share the sound of those boats flying by on TV. Amazing.
As a complete sail GP fanboy and a Parley subscriber from (very nearly) episode one... this episode is one of my all time favs. I watched the UK sail GP in Plymouth and you're right, the cameras don't do justice to the speed. The way they turn is crazy! Can't wait for part 2! Thanks for this edit crew Parley!!
Hahahahaha, sure looks like it's cold when you have to add a hot water bottle to the layers. Onya Britt. Epic episode. Those boats are just extraordinary. I was on the edge of my seat.
Huge smile on my face watching Colin like a kid in a sweetie shop but honestly some of those GP guys were just as excited to meet you all. Glad you got some decent life jackets too.
This is one of the best looks inside the Sail GP i have ever witnessed and its so cool that this is in my home town that i haven't been back to in 10 years. To the Parlay Crew thankyou so much for taking us on your journey around the world make me feel like part of the crew. If you make it to Aus i would love to come and meet you all in person. Keep the dream alive. Chur.
Colin, the sailors you met are some of the best at what they do and you are, in all sincerity, one of the best at what you do. You and Jamie and all of the crew you've had over the years...we can all see what happens. Parley Revival has a spirit of camaraderie that comes from you and Jamie and filters out to the crew.
Formula 1 leads the boating industry with cutting edge prolific scientific technology. Advances in space tech contribute vastly to boating and the future is unparalleled. Congratulations Colin. 👍😎✌️
Wow! Amazing footage Colin. I didn’t know there is so much technology in those boats, incredible. Really interesting to see. Thank you and have great sailing around New Zealand.
Best episode yet - Absolutely brilliant episode guys, can’t wait for the rest of it. This is probably the most animated I’ve seen you all meeting your heroes and them not only knowing you but also following Parlay and your journey. Super cool and as you say very humbling and not only is that coming across from them but also from you guys also…… ever knew about Sail GP, I’m certainly a fan now and will follow it, thanks for the introduction Colin and thanks to Sail GP for allowing the Parlay Crew an up front AAA, I’m sure there will be new followers to Sail GP as well as Parlay Revival from this experience. Bravo Zulu - Fair winds and following seas!
Amazing boats and so cool you have a chance to get aboard. I'm 66 years old and entered my 1st sailboat race on my own little boat this year and it's exciting and nerve wracking even on my little boat. I can hardly imagine what it was like for you on one these flying rockets!
Colin GOOD THINGS happen to deserving people . All the years I have followed your adventures you are one of a kind gentleman, giving person and boundless determination "Good on Ya Mate"
Absolutely amazing to experience so close up and personal. You're a lucky bloke Colin and I love that you know it. But you make your own luck and good things come to good people so you deserve it all. Kid in a candy shop has nothing on this episode!
Thank you, Colin and crew of parlay for bringing us this piece on sale GP. I didn’t know anything about it but it’s happening this weekend at Halifax Nova Scotia Canada, June 1 and 2nd hopefully I’ll be able to get down and view some of the race once again thank you very much for this piece.
As Ross J says below, such an awesome episode and also an incredible behind the scenes doco! I learnt so much more about the whole setup and the series (and the boats), in that 30 mins than I have in the 4 years I've been following along. Sail GP deserves more air time like this and hopefully this will get it out there to a whole heap of new fans! AND Colin, you and your crew leave us all smiling every week mate, what you are are doing from that deck of Parlay for sailors and non-sailors all over the world is nothing short of amazing, and to be honest, you shouldn't feel like you are out of place amongst the Sail GP crew, you are just as influential and outstanding mate. Keep doing what you're, you're an inspiration to so many people from all walks of life, at all stages of life around the world, I mean....dude....those guys you look up to at SGP, they came up to you and shook your hand looking to chat! That is soooo sick! You've made it mate. You're there. You ARE one of them. Oh but leaving us all having to wait until next week for the onboard. Shit go......Hahahaha Laterz
Ahhh I can't wait till next episode! Phil is my Kiwi legend, along with Blair and Peter. Of course we cannot forget Russel and other legends of sailing. Go Kiwis 💪
On the water with SailGP in Halifax today. Your video was a great primer. Love the turbo noise as the boats go by. Thanks for the explanation. Over 300 spectator boats out today. Largest spectator fleet in SailGp history. Wind 20-25 knots. Going to be a screamer. Thanks Colin!

The camera boat is even built with super slim hulls to minimize course disturbance, and I would assume for stability taking photos.
That was so good Thank,s

On the water with SailGP in Halifax today. Your video was a great primer. Love the turbo noise as the boats go by. Thanks for the explanation. Over 300 spectator boats out today. Largest spectator fleet in SailGp history. Wind 20-25 knots. Going to be a screamer. Thanks Colin!
SailGP’s only getting bigger and better 👌🏼
