They are rich. Richer than us. They live from the land helping one another. They live happy. You can tell just from the kids alone. With everything we have that they don’t, they are richer than us. ❤
This channel continues to go from strength to strength. Your values and focus on highlighting the kindness given and received from the people you meet is truly heart warming. I have watched from the very beginning and this feels like the only sailing channel that hasn’t sold out to huge sponsorship deals that result in big downgrades to multimillion dollar new boats. Looking forward to following along in 2025!
I'm not particularly fond of children because I'm a grumpy old man. But watching these kids smiling and having such a f7n time on Parlay actually bought me to tears. Many thanks
The people of Vanuatu may be friendly and kind, but you guys seem to generate good will wherever you go. I love how you share your time and resources with the locals wherever you are. You reap what you sow and it comes back to you a hundred fold. Thank you for another wonderful episode. My best wishes to you for a happy and healthy 2025. Keep the stories coming!
Colin and the rest of the crew on parlay, I can’t get over how impressed I am at how you make an effort to lean and share with the local cultures you meet during your voyages. Your YT sailing channel is growing less about sailing and more about being a good to people. This is a message the world needs desperately. Keep it up! ❤
"Oh shit . Here come the kids". You love it Colin. Admit it. You guys do things a lot different than the other cruisers I follow. You inform us about the islands and people and you participate with their life style. You show them respect and that counts. Thanks for the video and thanks for your humanity towards others.
My goodness I couldn't watch that section with the kids without grinning from ear to ear myself. The joy and happiness those kids exhibit is infectious. Thank you Parlay for taking us along and giving us a peek inside this wonderful world.
Love that you give local kids the awesome experience of being on a boat. Their manners, sharing & smiles are priceless. As for Freelix, what an inspiring young man, self sufficienct & a simple uncomplicated life living off the land & sea.
Great episode! After 35 years of working in the elementary school system, the crew of Parley are great ambassadors for the what we need more of in this world. Have a safe journey.
Fascinating, calming, uplifting, graceful, peaceful, happy, thankful...Thank you for showing us the wonderful, wondrous people of Vanuatu and their rich lifestyle.
Just loved the genuine warmth you share with these lovely hardworking people. To give Freelix a hand was something he did not expect, but appreciated it so much. Loved this video.
Colin and The Parlay Crew. Thank you for bringing this 73 year old would be surf bum along, this video proves always there is something to learn at any age. Reminds me of a surf trip with my son many years ago to Nagigia an outer island on Fiji where Fijian kids enjoyed what little they had in life
The islanders are a fine example to the rest of the ‘civilised’ world. The smile of my face was as broad as the children in their boat trip. Fabulous episode!
Your kindness to this village will never be forgotten. Thank you for helping Freelix build another garden plot, I am sure no one has ever done that before. It makes me sad that we are so determined to have the best of everything, and here is a village that has just enough to survive and they are so happy to share. Please stay safe.
with all the modern technology in the world, it's great to see there are still places like this that still live off the land in this way. The way life should be, a simple life. Love how you give back to each community you visit by lending a hand.
I love it when you give kids the experience of sailing. What an adventure, seeing how other humans live. Be safe out there and thanks for letting me live vicariously through you all!
What a beautiful vlog on Vanuatu! Showcasing the humility and generosity of the people is one thing, but Team Parlay's reciprocating humility and generosity is not something most foreigners can show. You didn't let yourselves be the centre of the show .... you let the people and the circumstances be the show. Your warm hearts and souls did a really great thing for those people and children. Bless your hearts 💕
The Vanuatu people seemed so lovely, friendly and generous. It was so sweet to see the children enjoy the sailboat experience. The were so joyful. ♥Just made your heart melt with all their sweet smiles.
Due to the late drop I went back and started from the beginning, it is amazing how far you've come from those first videos. I highly recommend anyone that hasn't done so go back and do the same. I don't even remember how I found your channel 3 years ago but I have been blessed hundreds of times by you and the various crew members over the years. Some of the production was really bad in the early days but one thing hasn't changed is that even in bad production your heart, passion and spirit always comes through. Those immortal words, "In 20 years you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did" Somehow, someway I will be on the deck with you and it will be the most amazing thing in my life, because at 62 I don't want to look back in 20 years without making it happen. Until that day comes,Thanks Colin for posting late today so I can relive so many memories as I continue to watch from the beginning.
Oh wow, look at all those kids smile!! So beautiful! And WOW Freelix is fit! Shows what hard work does to the body! Very happy to see they saved the bat, I love bats!
Those children! They look so healthy and happy and my gosh their smiles are white as can be! If that isn't an advertisement for fresh healthy lives I dont know what is.
Sitting here watching this episode on the last day of the year just makes me feel so thankful to you guys for giving us a glimpse of the lives of these wonderful people and their country. You don't need a lot to be happy I want to carry this into 2025. Happy New Year to you all and really looking forwards to what you bring us in 25.
My heart is full of joy and my eyes brimming with tears of gratitude that you are able to bring to your views , truly sustainable living. The interaction between each other and the communities you visit is respectful and honourable. It gives me hope that more people can see that the simple things in life are the most important and turn towards them, secure in the knowledge that we can not just survive but live life joyfully within our environment. Blessings and Thank You to Parlay and the crew. 💖
It’s amazing how the people of Vanuatu lead such a simple life, hard work, dedication to family and each other, sharing and kindness. You guys also showed them the same, you all enriched their lives as well and I’m sure those beautiful children will remember your kindness forever. See you next Sunday!!
Thank you Colin, Katie, Britt, Jaimy and all crew, thank you for all you do. I've been following from the start and seeing the videos go from "oh shit I bought a boat" to beautiful cultural documentaries mixed with boatlife with friends just fills my heart with joy. Thank you.
I absolutely love your UA-cam channel, the way you immerse yourself in local culture and share your catamaran with the local children is so heart warming! Thank you and your crew for being good people!
You’re generosity is just so special and is to be commended wherever you go. I’m blown away by the actions you take to bring so much joy into the children’s lives you touch. I know these days will be with you forever and part of me is rather envious you have had these opportunities. But also, I am grateful you’ve shared them with us all. ❤
Colin and crew, this was just the content I needed as I'm on sick leave from my humanitarian child protection job. It's great to see you be so open, respectful and appreciative of the people you met. Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2025 🎉
You guys are Beautiful....that's why you attract Beautiful people.....I was negative for many years until I changed my mindset and now I cannot describe the beauty of life I now live....you guys are an inspiration.... absolutely amazing people....Love you guys
These are the type of experiences that you not only seek but share is what makes me LOVE this channel and one of my few weekly “must watch” channels. Thank you for sharing.
Like so many others have said, I started going through withdrawal when I didn’t see today’s video and started watching something else… I can’t tell you how relieved it finally popped up and I immediately switched over. Colin and crew, you guys are the best thing happening on Sunday’s… I thank the Lord for your channel and for all the things you do. I was going to say “Don’t be late again” in all caps but thought it would be too rude.
Just another amazing adventure. Watching videos like this is such a great redirect on how human behavior should be when you veer off on a path you don’t need mentally.
Precious, precious children❤ Frelix is too! I hope Y’all go back in a few years to see how they’ve come up. Thank you so much for what Y’all do in showing us their beautiful lives and your beautiful hearts.
Vanuatu has been fascinating. What really blows me away is despite the remoteness, that many (most?) of the natives speak English. I wonder how long that has been the case, and how it came about. Thank you for a terrific 2024 following your adventures, and Wishing you and all the Parlay crew an even better 2025.
Some time back while surfing UA-cam, a Parlay video popped up. After watching that I went back to the start of the channel and binge watched the entire content to catch up with where we are now. My Monday morning fix is the latest offering with a coffee. Just brilliant 👍. Cheers Pete' New Zealand.
Omg they are all adorable children, you could see the joy and happiness in their eyes on Parlay 🥰great job everyone especially the work you did in the garden!👏👏👏🍻
Boy oh boy! What a range of beautiful emotions you bought up today for me! I had tears, a huge smile and my heart wanting to burst with the love you showed and were shown! Thank you once again for this amazing channel and sharing the adventures of your lives. You truly are living life well and you've inspired me to go check out Vanuatu - if anyone is heading there, can I get a ride please (Great Barrier Island is home) 🗾🙏🙋💖🛥
One of my favorite videos. What a beautiful experience. You guys are leaving your mark around the world. ❤🙌🏼🙏🏻👍🏼The smiles on those kids faces. PRICELESS!
What a magical place, and magical people. The look on those kids faces was priceless and you created a memory for them that they will forever remember as well as yourselves. It's amazing to visit a place where the rest of the world hasn't influenced their culture and lifestyle. It makes one wonder if part of the modern world is like a poison that sucks that magic away and replaces it with crime, greed, & other destructive behaviors. As you said, the place was filled with happiness, a togetherness, & a strong work ethic to provide for each other. Everyone should watch your videos of this place, it would be an eye opener for many! Thanks for sharing ❤
What a fun uplifting positive great episode!!!! Thanks for putting a smile on my face and heart!💝❤️🔥💖happy new year to you all!!!! Lots of luck and love🍀💛🍀💛🍀💛🍀
When my nephew headed out across the pacific as crew with not one hour on a yacht experience, finished in New Zealand told me of all he’d seen and experienced, Vanautu was the most wonderful, peaceful time he ever spent with complete strangers. Great little series.
It’s the people not the place 💓 thank you for sharing your experience of Vanuatu. Happy children, humble kind people, and that cute bat. Great episode.
What an awesome episode guys! For those of us, so far away and removed, it's hard to imagine how these villages actually live and love their daily lives. They are such happy people. Thank you for helping them farm - your efforts made such a huge impact for them, more than you realize. Safe travels and we hope you have a very Happy New Year! Cheers! Scott and Ally
As challenging as it might be, I really appreciate you doing the work to genuinely connect with and present the stories of local non-western people. For so many sailing channels, they are little more than nameless help. It was refreshing to see a perspective that highlights someone who is just as entrepreneurial as anyone else, with hopes, fears, and dreams-a reminder that we’re all part of the human family.
Happy New Year! It's taken me 8 weeks to watch parley from the start and I've finally caught up! You guys are an inspiration and I admire the way you are living your life!! Thank you for bringing sunshine and paradise into the dreary UK winter.
I started following your channel because of the sailing adventures. I continued to watch because of your determination to follow your dreams. All the obstacles you have overcome to get to where you are amazes me. And now I continue to watch because not only are you traveling the world and experiencing different cultures around the world, but you are making a difference! Helping the native people, building houses, gardens, trading supplies that they need to make their lives easier . Way to go Sailing Parlay! I hope I get to meet you all at the next boat show in Annapolis 😘❤️⛵️
They are rich. Richer than us. They live from the land helping one another. They live happy. You can tell just from the kids alone. With everything we have that they don’t, they are richer than us. ❤
💯
Clearly an American response and you haven't read enough philosophy - materialism isn't a solution the tools are there- it is not complicated.
Speak for yourself. My life is way better

Most "grumpy old men" secretly actually love children.
😊

The smile's on those children, wow, just amazing.
1st thing I noticed was the children's beautiful teeth & smiles
Episodes like this is the reason you've become the favorite sailing channel on UA-cam. Hope you guys have a very happy new year.
100% took the words out of my thoughts too. Stay humble
My goodness I couldn't watch that section with the kids without grinning from ear to ear myself. The joy and happiness those kids exhibit is infectious. Thank you Parlay for taking us along and giving us a peek inside this wonderful world.
A high trust society. Precious and priceless.

You guys also showed them the same, you all enriched their lives as well and I’m sure those beautiful children will remember your kindness forever. See you next Sunday!!
My fav part about the Vanuatu series was the smiles! Smiles for days, everywhere and everyone! Love it!
Bats are awesome. So happy to hear she’s still well.
Superb, we often find as we sail that the best experience is the interaction with locals especially the children!
Thank you Colin, Katie, Britt, Jaimy and all crew, thank you for all you do. I've been following from the start and seeing the videos go from "oh shit I bought a boat" to beautiful cultural documentaries mixed with boatlife with friends just fills my heart with joy.
