My advice is this: if you're enjoying yourself, you're playing it right.
Please don't stress about things, you're still finding your feet and you're doing well.

I'm so torn about Stardew Sunday 😩 I love the idea of a weekly stardew hangout, but also Stardew streams tend to attract a lot of "experts" who think they know the "right" way to play and they keep giving commands in the chat to tell the streamer what to do. For me, that ruins the experience of watching someone discover the game organically, and I'm very much enjoying your discoveries so far! It might be possible to ask the chat to avoid spoilers or backseating, but not everyone complies with those kinds of requests. Anyway, ultimately it's up to you. I hope whatever you decide is enjoyable to you, which is the most important part!

      ^ This.
I love watching people experience the game and learn how to play mostly on their own. But it seems like whenever there is a live chat, they always take over the game and the streamer ends up just reading chat or doing what chat says instead of just enjoying the game.
I've seen one streamer that is able to have moderators in the chat that make sure chat does not spoil any part of the game for them. But even he has to actively ask chat on a regular basis to not give him advice.
But in the end, it is your choice how you want to experience it. 💚

This is what I'm worried about. I much rather watch someone learn to play on their own. Playing with a group can be enjoyable to watch but AFTER you've played through on your own. Like at least after getting through the first year.

FISHING: Coming from someone who loves the fishing mechanics, it can be frustrating at first because you start off at a disadvantage. But the more you fish, the larger the fishing bar becomes and the easier it is to catch fish. I like that it's a progression thing.

There's no reason to stress about anything in this game. There's never enough time to do everything that can be done in a day or season or year. If you don't do something one day, you can do it tomorrow. If you don't do something in a season, you can do it next year. There's nothing you can miss forever in this game, you'll always have another opportunity, so just go at your own pace.

There is no wrong way to play Stardew Valley! That’s one of the beauties of this cozy game 😊
Every person will have opinions on what’s best, so here’s a few of mine:
-Don’t let luck impact your play, unless you are dying a lot in the mines or late-game need a specific rare item
-Grow and save a bit of every crop
-Fish in different areas for days to get early money
-eventual money play is crops and processed crops, but don’t stress too much about it

It's so refreshing to watch someone totally new to Stardew play it! Here's some tips I wish I knew when I first played:
    - Avoid selling any items that are marked "Resource" (in gray text underneath the item name in your inventory)
    - Crops and fishing are both good ways to make money!
No matter what, do what you enjoy in the game!

  • @AlexMaden
    @AlexMaden 15 днів тому +18

Someone else might have already given you this tip, but; when your inventory is full and you want to drop something, you can drag it to the left side of your inventory menu (outside the menu box) and just press. Then, you'll drop it to the ground instead of having to discard the item permanently through the trashbin.

Love the play through! And there is no right or wrong way of playing Stardew. One of the many reasons for which I love watching first time players is to discover new ways of seeing the game. the most important thing is to do what feels right for you. There might be some hard-core players that will suggest you to do this or that, but take them just as suggestions because in the end it is your play through and you should let your style of playing shine. I am the kind of person who loves the social aspect of this game and getting to know each character. But this is just me..

Some quests that require you to give an item to an NPC will usually be retroactive. In cases like this coal quest and some you'll get from Robin asking for wook or stone. You'll have to collect fresh resources.

I understand the draw of watching this game be streamed, but I've been waiting so long for a good playthrough of this game that isn't streamed so the person is learning about the game and making mistakes like we all did our first time playing. Watching this has been very satisfying.

Excited to keep watching your play through! Gonna edit this comment and answer your questions as I watch.
Don’t worry about stockpiling seeds before seasons change. You can only plant seeds in season until you have the Greenhouse (one of the community center rewards.)
You can place chests anywhere, but if a villager walks into it, it will destroy the chest. Best to place it out of the way of people’s walking paths. The top floor of the mines is a safe spot.
In the spring, the woods south of Marnie’s house (across the river) are a good foraging spot. May find a leek there. Will definitely find spring onions.
Trees cut off the farm will respawn on their own. On your own farm, trees will drop seeds and new trees will grow around them. You can also plant tree seeds on and off the farm. It’s a good idea to plant some so that you don’t run low on wood supply.
My personal strategy with harvested goods is to sell the regular and silver star goods, keep the gold star for eating.
It doesn’t matter where you put things in the museum. I like to arrange by color.

A pro tip for making money - after you reach 2 hearts with Caroline, you can enter her sunroom (off the kitchen) and she will give you a recipe for tea saplings. These sell for a good amount of gold (don’t plant them unless you want to harvest tea leaves.)

Where you fish matters a lot. Fish in a place where your bobber lands as far away from any shore or pier as possible. That will give you a higher "fishing zone" and you have a better chance of getting better and higher quality fish. The trash objects you catch will become useful later on, though. As your fishing skill improves, you can cast out further and that also gives better results. Luck doesn't affect it very much, except on lucky days you will get more treasure chests with maybe better contents. Fishing is fun actually, and it is definitely one of the best ways to make money early in the game. Fishing treasure chests can sometimes be very helpful too when you get them.
I would not worry too much about luck at this point. Just realize that when you go into the mines, it can take longer to find ladders on a bad luck day. It's usually still worthwhile going, especially if you need something from there or are doing a quest.
Luck really doesn't affect NPCs or their behaviour. Abigail gets moody anyway.

Seeds don’t expire, Pierre will sell seeds which grow in the current seasons. He’ll sell the same ones next year (starting year 2 he’ll have some new ones as well). Personally I wouldn’t try to purchase seeds for next spring at this point. I think your money is best spent elsewhere for now. By the time next spring rolls around you probably will want more seeds than you can afford right now anyway. Better to just get seeds you can plant now. As the season gets close to the end you can start to save money for summer seeds.

I relate With the completionist/perfectionist personality side of Stardew too, It should be a relaxing game, but I just stress myself out trying to get everything done. Its actually great practice to learning how to not care about 'perfect'. Its okay to have low money days, and just talk to villagers. Also, If you'd like a nonspoiler tip I would just say plant/keep two of everthing!

    Hey there Rye! Nice episode!
    - Leeks are common in the mountains north of your farm
    - Time is not on your side as you are noticing so have somewhat of a plan going into each day i.e. taking care of your crops and animals and mining, fishing or clean up
    - As far as friendships are concerned, I'm too busy to really bother with it much during spring year 1 but I am not the typical player in that aspect, I speak to everyone I come across but it's not my focus. However (as I say to my kids "Do you boo" 😆) there is no right or wrong way to play.
    - Like you, I'm a perfectionist and I can't stand a messy farm, there is wood everywhere so for me, I cut all that sh** down. I make tree farms in specific places and I always grow a few oak, maple and pine trees for tapping somewhere close to farmhouse so I can easliy see when they are ready. Granted I'm not a min-max type of player, it's not my personal style. But again, play how YOU want to play.
    - Don't give up on fishing, it can help a lot, financially, early game anyways but not on your farm, there's better fishing off the farm and once you get a recycling machine the "trash" yields some good stuff.
    - Crops: I keep some of every crop, 5 or so and sell everything that is silver or gold starred but pay attention to your bundles because you will need some gold quality crops for one bundle. Be sure to keep 5 gold quality parsnips, sell the rest.
    - Befriend Linus for sure, it's worth it. All the townies are good to know because of their backstories and events so for sure to make friends but don't kill yourself trying to do it. SDV, in gaming terms, is a slow grind really. It's a cozy, at your pace kinda thing but even saying that it is the most well conceived game I've ever played. It's kind of like a love letter from ConcernedApe to gamers who like depth and true experiences. If you slick with it you'll see what I mean.
    - It's car-A-mel IMO, it's not spelled carmel, there's another A in there 😂
Great vid Rye, great work, pat yourself on the back, you're doing just fine. I'd tune into live streams as often as I could so again "do you boo". I look forward to the next video. I would recommend doing the bundles, again it's a slow grind but then pride you feel whan you complete the community center is very cool, at least for your first playthrough, it offers more of the SDV experience.
    Be well, stay safe!

These videos are great! I've played stardew for years now and it's so fun watching new players discover it. I would personally make money your top priority this early in the game. Keep 1 of every item, but sell as much else as you can. Anything you pick up can be sold. Getting the backpack is always one of my top priorities because I like to keep all my tools on me at all times so I don't have to spend time going back for something I forgot. The woods south of your house is massive and really good for finding forage to sell. And there's an area at the bottom of it that always has a bunch of wild leeks growing. Also, you should fish at any of the other bodies of water - there's a river in town, the beach, and lakes in the woods and mountains.

  • @fionaking5656
    @fionaking5656 14 днів тому

Fishing is really good for making money, and you can often get good treasure with it on high luck days. You need to tap and release the button though to move the bar, and keep the bar behind your fish.
Catfish only come on rainy days, in fresh water - the town river is good for catfish. You can build up fishing skill in the lake by the mines though, it's a lot easier.
The backwoods - that farm exit by your cave - is a faster path to the mines and you can often find forage there. It's worth hanging on to trash for later recycling though, at least some types.

  • @sevenember3332
    @sevenember3332 15 днів тому +4

On crops: In general, it’s better to sell your crops to get funding for other projects or for more seeds. Right now, hold on to your gold star parsnips as you will need them later. There are ways to increase your profits from selling crops that you’ll unlock later and it can get pretty in depth. Like spreadsheet in depth.
Potatoes are the Spring cash crop and are a good way to make money for the next season. Luck also governs the yield of crops with a multiple harvest. If you have the wiggle room, like you aren’t planning on planting another round or it isn’t the last day of the season, hold off on harvesting if your crops are ready but it’s a bad luck day.
Seasons are exactly 28 days with 4 seasons per year. As you saw, crops that haven’t fully grown or are long term producers die on the first day of the next season they don’t grow in

There is a lot to do. I would recommend doing different things on certain days. Talk to everyone twice a week, forage everywhere on Saturdays, go mining twice a week. Aim for 5 floor intervals in the mines. Also, clean up your farm as much as possible, a little every day. Stuff can spread and destroy crops

Of all the time and hours I've played this game I have never read that letter from Morris to Pierre! That was crazy! Haha. Also the jellybean Junimos are definitely friends and super cute. 💜
To answer the questions you had to help, but keep it as spoiler free as possible of course:
Yep there is lots of stories and drama in the game haha. Lots to discover!
Seasons last 28 days and each season has its own crops so spring crops cant grow in summer etc. You'll have spring, summer, fall and winter. Its a good idea to plant at least a few of each as you will need them for community center bundles, gifts, recipes etc. Become a bit of an all round hoarder haha. Also, be careful to plant seeds that still have enough time to grow before the end of the season (which 28th will be the last day for each)
You can check what's needed for the community center from your inventory icon, but will need to take them to the community center to submit them. You can also tell of something is needed for the community center if the icon on the right for it pulses when you hover over an item in your inventory.
As you talk to and give gifts to townspeople you'll raise your friendship with them (the hearts with them) and get cut scenes that will reveal more about them and their stories and even let you access other rooms in the houses etc.
Trees will regrow when cut down in the forest but not on the farm, but you can plant maple, pine and acorn seeds for more trees to grow and to be tapped for other resources later.
Hope this helps! Was so happy to see a new and longer video!💜

it's so fun watching you play through the first time! I have been playing for a few years and I love it so much. Everyone will have a different play style, so just figure out how you like to play. I LOVE starting new games and exploring the benefits of the different farms and different friendships.
On bad luck days, I focus on tidying the farm area, foraging, or chopping wood. You probably get less tree seeds, but I start with the conifers, since there are more of them.
I usually sell the gold star produce items unless they are part of the community center bundle. I usually save one or two high value items that are gold star items for gifts or other later events in the year. As you advance you will unlock recipes for tools that will increase the value of the normal (no star) quality items. But definitely sell them if you need the gold! Try to have as much gold as possible before the egg festival!

I'll repeat what others have said and say "Try to have fun!" Stardew is a game that goes on indefinitely, and you can't mess up in any meaningful way. You'll be set back on money sometimes and so thus have to play more (using your RL time as a resource) to get back to that same point, but you can always try again. There's always next year in game. Don't apologize for asking questions!! Everyone is new at something sometime in their life and it's good to ask for help. Also Stardew fans love to share advice (even unsolicited sometimes 😅) Here's some tips that might be helpful : )
    - The day starts on Monday on the calendar, but the week resets on Sunday. Forage will spawn every day and stay spawned until the week rolls over on Sunday, so I like to go foraging on Fridays and Saturdays instead of checking every day. You can use that forage to craft Wild Seeds. If I have energy to water more crops I'll plant them but if not I'll just sell the seeds. Each season is 4 weeks, so 28 days. If your crops aren't done growing before the season ends (or they're fully grown but you forget to pick them on day 28) then they'll completely wither away when the season changes. Each seed will tell you how long it takes to grow and if you're not sure you can look up a "last day to plant" guide.
    - You already saw the Community Center (CC) panel in your inventory which is great. A lot of people miss that but it's really helpful. I'll clarify that the little symbol will pulse/animate if you mouse over an item that can be used for a bundle. This helps you figure out what you need at a glance and lets you know you should keep that item to donate. I like to make a separate chest on my farm for items for the CC so I don't accidentally sell them. I also tend to only donate when I can finish a bundle/set, so I spend less time running back and forth.
    - There's a traveling cart which shows up near the wizards tower every Friday and Sunday. They will sell different items each day and its worth checking out what's for sale.
    - I tend to plan my days around one or two activities, so I'll put away the tools I don't need for the day to free up inventory space. For example, if I plan to fish all day I pretty much only bring my fishing rod. However, I always keep my hoe on me at all times to dig up the little "worms" or "sticks" that poke out of the ground and wiggle around. You can get free seeds, artifacts, or resources like clay out of them. I also tend to keep either a scythe or a weapon on me as well because neither of them use energy and I'm prone to misclicking. I recommend trying to be careful and purposeful with how often you "click"/use tools because every swing of a tool uses energy except the aforementioned scythe/weapons.
    - I don't recommend you sell any items labeled "resource" because they don't sell for much and you'll need them for crafting. If you need refined quartz for crafting, you can get them from smelting the 2 types of quartz minerals in your furnace.
    - Fishing is pretty divisive within the community because some people love it and some hate it. It's decently hard especially when you're first learning. As your Fishing skill levels up the green bar behind the fish will get bigger which makes them easier to catch. My best tip is to buy the training rod from the fishing shop at the beach. It's only 25g and it makes it so the fishing bar is a lot bigger (the equivalent of LVL 5 Fishing). The trade off is that you can only catch easy fish, which aren't worth as much money and won't give you as much EXP as harder-to-catch fish. But you're much more likely to actually catch the fish. I like to use the training rod until I'm around LVL 4 or 5 then switch to a normal rod, because the green bar is about the same size. I also sometimes will eat cheaper fish (anchovy, carp, herring, sunfish, sardine, bream, chub, smallmouth bass) while fishing to restore my energy so I can keep fishing. All of these are worth 50g or less and you'll catch a lot of them, so it might be more worth it to use them for energy than money. My last tip is fish will come out at different times of day, and during different weather and seasons, so try all sorts of combinations.
    - The Adventurer's Guild will give you rewards for killing X amount of different types of enemies and the reward for killing 80 bugs is a really really good early-game weapon. The white grubs, the white flies, and the teal bugs that move in a straight line all count. They all also have a chance of dropping an Ancient Seed which is a tip I mention below.
    - Crops that produce multiple harvests are really good for beginners and the first year of a farm, so I'd recommend buying some of those if you're able. The sooner you can plant these the better, because you'll get more harvests out of them if you plant them on the 1st day of a season instead of the middle. My picks would be corn and hops for Summer and cranberries, eggplants, and grapes for Fall. Just make sure you have enough energy to water all your crops because these will stick around unlike single-harvest crops. Unless I keep them for food, I sell all my star quality crops and keep the plain non-star ones for gifting or processing into artisan goods- the exception to this is you should keep 5 gold-star parsnips, melons, corn, and/or pumpkins for the CC. You'll need 3 out of the 4. If you don't plan on finishing the CC in your first year you don't need to keep them though- you can do that in year 2+.
    - I wouldn't plant any flowers unless you really want to because they aren't the best money makers until you have beehives. If you do have beehives, then plant the seed that costs the most near the hives because the price correlates to honey cost. Fairy Rose honey is the best :D Also bees will produce honey even if they don't have flowers nearby so they can be a source of passive income.
    - A really good early-game food is field snacks, which are literally free because they just take 1 acorn, pine, and maple seed to make. You'll get the seeds from chopping down trees.
    - Star quality increases the sell price and gift worth of an item. It goes no-star (or normal quality) -> silver -> gold -> iridium (purple). If you give someone a loved gift that's iridium quality it'll give you more friendship points than a no-star gift of the same item. Quality doesn't affect disliked gifts thankfully lol. Another thing to note is quality doesn't keep when you process things into artisan goods. So a gold star grape won't turn into gold star wine, it'll be normal quality wine just like a no-star grape would make. The exceptions to this is the Fish Smoker machine and the Large Milk and Egg items.
    - You had it right that the friendship panel shows you if you've talked to someone that day. It also shows you how many gifts you've given then that week- you can gift each person twice a week. If you click on their sprite it will bring you to an info panel for each person which shows you their birthday and will fill out with info on their gift preferences over time. Friends and family will give hints on NPC likes and dislikes, and there's other ways of finding that info as well. As a hint, most people like artisan goods, fruits and veggies, or flowers. It will take you a while to get everyone to max hearts so don't worry about doing it in your first year or anything. Once someone gets to max hearts (10 hearts for most, 8 hearts for single people) their friendship doesn't really ever decrease again. (This is simplifying things, but if it does decrease it's not hard to get it back). Also yes, you can date and marry people : )
    - There's something that opens up in Summer that will allow you to regain energy passively. It's a bit out of the way but if you're completely out of energy by say, 1-2pm it's worth it to go there and get your energy back for the rest of the day.
    - These three are more niche and relate to the museum: If you come across something called an Ancient Seed don't throw it away! Donate it to the museum and it will end up making you a lot of money. However if you find a unique "ancient" egg that says you can donate it don't do it! I recommend saving your first one until you upgrade your coop. Likewise if you come across a rainbow mineral that you can donate, save the first one you get for another special secret :D
    - I use the wiki a lot and it's an invaluable resource. However, I wouldn't recommend relying on it as a beginner because it kinda takes the magic out of experiencing the game for the first time and exploring and figuring out things yourself. The library in town will fill out with books over time which have a lot of obscure info which can be useful the first time you're playing the game. But if you're having trouble with something and really can't figure it out, like a puzzle or quest or say, you're trying to catch a fish with strict spawn requirements then feel free to look up help. Along similar lines, if you're having trouble remembering tips or what your plans for the next time you play were going to be, I recommend keeping stickynotes or a notebook or a word document handy to write important stuff down.
    - My last tip is just to have fun! There's a ton of things to do in Stardew Valley and you're just starting out so take it at your own pace and try not to stress. Like I said at the beginner, the game will continue on and you can always try again. There's no wrong way to play the game as long as you're enjoying yourself. Excited to continue watching your playthrough! (P.S. the diary entry at the beginning is such a smart, cute touch!)

The way to make money in stardew valley in the beginning is to plant a lot of crops harvest and sale, most of them and a lot of fishing. I would keep at least 5 of everything that you plant, because you may need it for the community center or a side quest. For example, a little later on, Caroline will ask you for a cauliflower. George will ask you for a hot pepper, and somebody asks you for a parsnip. So my suggestion is to plant as many crops that you can and fish as much as you can. You can get treasure chests while you're fishing and get good stuff out of them.

The game is meant to be played and enjoyed. While there are a bunch of tried and true ways to maximize output, you don't want to stress over it.
There is drama. Just wait. Lol
    Some tips I have:
The other characters have friendship events and its so much fun to get to know them. You can give them two gifts a week (birthday gifts give more friendship but they do have dislikes) and talk to them every day.
The money crops are potatoes and strawberries (spring), melons (summer), pumpkins and blueberries (fall).
The best crop is ancient fruit but those are a bit more difficult to get.
The community center needs one of every main crop from each season and five gold star crop of the main crops.

Stardew is what brought me to your channel. I do use it a bit more as a podcast/background when I'm at work or doing chores, but I hope that doesn't come off as a backwards compliment because that is 90% of the time I watch UA-cam videos! Your narrating style is very soothing.
This might be sacrilegious lol but I am firmly casual about how I play Stardew. I occasionally will pull up the wiki to check something but I do not metagame or optimize. Kind of ruins cozy for me. But that's also highly personal preference so if you prefer to long term plan or have more structure for your videos I totally get that. Just don't stress over it and make sure it stays fun.
I thought the TV luck was mostly things that depend on RNG such as opening geodes (you will be more likely to get common items on bad luck days vs rare items on good luck days) but not fully sure (that's what the wiki is for I suppose haha).
It's fun seeing your reaction to the game and how you are experiencing it. Ymmv but I tended to just pick a goal and focus. Like if you want to make $$$ it's better to sell crops. If you want to fulfill certain quests you may need to keep your crops. Or if you want to stockpile them as recipe ingredients for later in the game. So there's not a direct answer to your question on what is "best" if that makes sense. Middle ground is keeping 1-2 of each crop in storage for quests and selling the rest imo.
Foraging improves from like picking up berries, plants, flowers etc. I'm always a bit of a loot goblin so I level that up fast lol
Fishing has a hard level curve. I used to hate it. Now I enjoy it quite a bit. If you level up it does get easier to do the mini game but totally get if it's not what you want to do especially early game.
Focusing on the community center would be my unsolicited advice. It requires you to explore a lot of the different mechanics in the game and is kind of the closest thing to the main storyline or quest imo.
But some people will just hyper fixate on the mines or fishing or farming and that's ok too. Stardew is really what you make it to be. Follow your interests. Don't worry if you miss something, the opportunity will come up to do it again.

58:20 as some may have said: yes luck influence in how much likely you get trash from fishing, BUT fishing in the farm is always bad, even in beach and riven farm is a 50\50. Also, your fishing pole is bad, takes too long and gets low quality fish, getting lvl 2 unlocks a new and better one.
btw, trash is not useless and sells for literally ZERO gold, you can recycle it whenever you get the recipe for the machine

Most crops can only be grown during one season but there are a couple that can grow more into the next. They will say what season they can be planted in, and if something says plant in spring and summer then it would survive the season change but will wilt once fall hits. Be sure to make sure you have enough growing days because any not complete by the next season will wilt. Each season has it's own set of crops. Growing at least a couple of each type of crop is good, and some crops are a grow once and then harvest multiple times type of deal.
Each person can be talked to once a day, but they may have several parts to the conversation so clicking on them more then once or checking if they still have the speech icon is useful. You can give someone two gifts in a week and an extra on their birthday.
There are maps that show safe chest placements all over the town.
Everything you harvest/catch has a quality between normal and iridium. Normal doesn't have any marker, the first star is silver, then gold, then purple (iridium).
If you open up your inventory and not a chest then you can move your items around to the slots you would like.
Foraging is picking wild plants up off the ground, chopping trees, and harvesting plants from mixed seeds.
Luck affects how likely you are to get a ladder when you break a rock in the mine, geode and coal drop chance from rocks, crate spawns, treasure chests while fishing, shaking trees, extra crop yields, and the like.
Leeks are often found in the mountains to the north.
When it's a quest for a number of items like that coal quest for Clint they need to be acquired after you get the quest. Clint can often be found in tha saloon in the evenings if you miss him at work.
Set aside around 9 gold or better items for something that happens in the fall.
The farther away from the shore your cast lands the better your catch will be fishing. As you level up you can cast further. Eventually you can get a recycling machine and with it you can turn trash into useful items.

You can rearrange the museum items at any time by clicking the paper on Gunthers front desk. Also, once you have some farm buildings built, you can have Robin move the buildings (if you want them moved) Its free and instant, unlike animal crossing! So many other companies have paid tribute to his creation with their own Stardew Valley-esque versions. I've been beta-testing Coral Island right now which is a "Stardew-type" game and takes place on a tropical island. You think there's a lot of townies to meet in SV? Fishing on the farm is kinda terrible, honestly. But, fun fact, you got to see one of the bonuses of the beach farm today! Things like mussels can normally only be foraged on the beach or caught in a crab pot, but you can actually catch them with your fishing rod on the beach farm. Beach farm is also fancy in that all the water around your farm is saltwater/ocean, rather than fresh water, in terms of the fish you catch. Unfortunately, because it's the farm, you're going to catch trash roughly half the time. I think that little pond ONLY produces trash, even.

The daily luck affects a lot of things, mostly rng. It’s most noticeable in the mines imo. It affects the likelihood of finding the ladder to the next floor, the amount of loot you can find, the amount of ore nodes that spawn and the amount that you get from each one, and the monster spawns. In general, good luck days are good for maximizing money/resources from the mines or for making progress getting deeper down. Bad luck days can be useful if you want to stock up on monster loot, but otherwise are generally not great mine days. Outside the mines it can affect other things too, such as the amount and contents of treasure chests that you find when fishing (I don’t think the fish themselves are affected). There’s more stuff, but I’m struggling to remember right now.

Yes, a stream would be fun! Just let us know what time because I personally never get on Twitch. Also, you are such a pleasure to watch!
PS: Never cut all your grass in the beginning or chop all the trees at once. You need soooo much grass and soooo much wood and there isn't enough trees outside your farm. You can plant more, but it easier to let them reseed themselves and grow.
Luck affects how quickly you find ladders in the mines and drops from nodes. I have found that I find more gem type nodes on negative days oddly enough (I have over 2000 hours in the game). It affects getting treasure chests while fishing and other things within the game.
Certain places, like a farm pond, have mostly trash. Fish in the ocean by your house or at the beach, in the rivers, and up by the mine. Trash can be recycled into things eventually.

You can mitigate it on Twitch by having rules in the title/tags that you don't want spoilers/backseating without you specifically asking for it, along with some trusted mods to help delete comments. I've seen plenty of Twitch streamers successfully do this.

To your questions ( tried to be spoiler free)
-You can put chests wherever you need it. At beach, river and lake fishing spots; in town for gifts for the npcs; in the mines...whatever you need. They won't get destroyed anymore, just moved sometimes when they are in the path of an npc. It was part of a newer update.
-The quests circle so no need to stress when you didn't make it in time. There is no penalty and they come back. Same with community center stuff, just do it next year. No fomo needed ;)
-Should you buy seeds for the next spring? No. There is an event before the next spring where you can buy seeds for all seasons but also no problem with buying them at the first day of every season. Try to get every seed of the season.
-Clear your farm as you like it. Just let some grass and some trees of every kind growing. You can plant some trees in lines or wild, just as you like it.
-Days go to 2 am, going to bed after midnight might not replenish all your energy. Falling asleep somewhere else as your bed cost you a little bit of money and you wake up with half your energy.
-Yes, cutting trees gives you foraging experience.
-I personaly don't care much about the luck thing on the tv, weather forecast is nice to plan for a day because you don't need to water your crops and have a lot of time for mines or fishing etc. But "living of the land" has some usefull tips especially for beginner players.
-Keep the golden parsnips. Always check with the community c before selling anything. You can hover over items in your inventory or chests and if the communtiy center icon starts to pulse, it is needed there.
-In general sell the star crops, keep the normal ones to process further and two of every crop for quests, gifts, cooking etc.. Exception, in the beginning you can't process further so you sell the non star ones too.
-Money making at the start of the game: sell fish, crops and forage. Try to level up to unlock things to process and get animals.
    -Keep daffodils for gifts.
-How to know where they are? You learn about the npcs, where they live(map), what they do, where they go. That is part of the game that makes it feel real and sometimes annoying.XD Stream would help a lot with this.
-Someone sends you a letter and advertises house upgrades (oven).
-Usually you need to collect new ores, coal, monsters..etc. for a quest. You don't need to plant and harvest if the item is crops.
-To give an item, select the item in your bar, go close to the npc and a little gift apears above your head, klick on the npc.
-There are good and bad fishing spots, little ponds on your farm are always full of trash. Try the lake at the mines. And keep some of the trash.
I agree with some of the other comments of streaming stardew. Often the chat is okay not to backseat and it can help a lot to get answers immediatly. But there are always some people who are too enthusiasticly helping and forget not to press their way to play onto you. Some mods do an amazing job keeping spoilers in check and they can help with that too. Personaly I would like a stream but guess your timezone is not mine. So I'll wait for the longer yt vids.
I really like your playthrough. You are thorough and take your time to read and understand it. You will enjoy this game a lot, I'm sure of it.

This is all great advice, but I would just mention that although a lot of people do like wildflowers as gifts, daffodils are not liked by everybody. If you give a gift, you can't always tell from the person's reaction how much they liked or didn't like it (some are more polite than others). If you check your tabs under the heart symbol, it will tell you how friendly you are with various NPCs and if you click on their image, it will show their reactions to the gifts you've given them (or been told about by someone else). Gifts can advance or detract from friendship. Over time, friendship relations with NPCs can become important.

@meh8982 Yes, totally right. I didn't write this because I didn't want to spoil too much. He's not at the gifting stage yet. Maybe he streams when he starts gifting to people seriously and we all can help who likes what.

Really hope you'll stick to this game. Once you really get into it, you'll be an expert in no time. Tip: Strawberry, Cranberries and BlueBerries are the big money makers.
Cranberries and Blueberries you can buy at Pierre's in the right season. Strawberries you can buy at egg festival. Think its the 13h of spring. Good luck!
Btw, im also a perfectionist, but that's the fun...building your beautiful cozy farm.
*And those trees grow back so dont worry about it.
