Thanks to everyone that stopped by our Stardew Sundays! It was so fun chatting with each of you as we continued our work on UNITY FARM! We’ll be back LIVE on Sunday 2/9 (with a few surprises!)
Thanks for posting the VODs, I’m not really able to catch anyone’s streams due to an unpredictable schedule. It’s wonderful to be able to spend time with you and the other viewers, even after the fact!
I saw about half the stream but I couldn't keep up with chat so none of my later tips were making it to your eye 😂. I really apologize for not staying the whole time, I really wanted to be a part of this from the beginning for and with you. Are you going to be putting out videos as well or is it gonna be just streams? I ask because doing two farms at the same time would be difficult I think, how would you be able to keep them straight as to plans and progress and what not, that could be a me thing though. I'm gonna watch as I can though and Rye, good job! I enjoy your content so much. Oh and you can call me Kim, it's easier. Can you upload the streams to UA-cam? I would really like it if I didn't end missing content. Nevermind ... I found the video... Derpy 😅
I really like the energy here. I'm glad to see you enjoying your entry into this wonderful stardew community. It truly is a vibe. Looking forward to more of these!
Right when you asked what games we'd recommend, my first thought was Dave the Diver. And then a minute later you asked about it! It's an awesome game! I'd say it's mostly cozy, but definitely has it's high intense moments. It is story driven with a conclusion, but you can also just keep playing forever after that. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
made it to your stream sunday and noticed a few thing that might help you. never leave your farm with your watering can, there is no use for it outside. it's good to empty your inventory so you have the room for foraging. i would bring the sword (optional, but have it equiped if you miss click alot, it doesn't drain energi or break stuff) pick and axe, for use and clearing stuff away in your path, fishingrod you never know when you feel like a short fishing, and never leave your hoe behind, worms are everywhere. leaving foraging (items on the ground) behind is leaving free money, quest item or energy behind. don't be affraid to go back with them eather. they disapear after each day. mines : for items, building materials, gifts, keep all if you don't know if you are gonna need it. fishing: money, save 1 or a few of each but sell sell sell. you are doing so good with the rest, and this comunity is giving good advise. good luck going forward. i'll be sure to tune in again.
Funny how I just wanted to watch one stardew valley video to see if I would like it, now I’m super hooked on this series! Cozy games with a super wholesome person who’s playing it. 🥰 Thank you for the uploads!
Fishing from the island in the mountain lake is fine, but if you don't want to spend the time to go all the way in there, fishing around the area near the bottom of the lake close to where Sebastian hangs around is just as good. You just don't want any coastline or bridges to be close to where you're fishing. Zooming in or out at any time is entirely up to you, whatever you're comfortable with. I think you're doing really well with fishing. The more you practice the better you'll get at it, and as you level up it gets easier.
When starting a new game, I like actually parking down by where the onions are; build a chest and then grab the onions for energy while fishing to accelerate towards Level 5 fishing before Day 5.
PS: Linus' backstory is heartwarming and surprising. :) Mods: Expanded is great but you can't really add it mid game because the map changes and it will SCREW everything up. Expanded feels like a DLC because it adds so much content. Btw, there are thousands of mods. So many mods. lol I love To-Dew for a to do list. It is probably one of my favs. And NPC map locations, which shows where everyone is. Also, if you pass out in your house, there is no cash penalty, but there is an energy penalty. PSS: Upgrading your tools helps with energy drain also. Furnace, smelt copper, fish, sell fish for money, upgrade tools.
🎶Pro Tip about Music! 🎶 The music will reset and start playing again if you walk over to the bus stop area. The silence really bothers me so I have learned how to get it going again. Usually leaving your farm will reset the music, and once the music has reset it should continue playing music for a while. 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi friend, lurker here. Haley, Alex and Shane are quite mean until around 4 hearts but people single out Haley as the "mean one" Shane will outright tell you to get lost Don't get me started on Alex dialogue if you are playing as a female farmer Haley is on part with those two. All villagers become kinder as they get to know you and I think it is worth it to get to know them all...except Harvey! Who charges you even if you marry him! (insert rant about medical bills here) (Whispering: lurker out ♥)
Im so glad to know there are others out there still experiencing the game for the first time! I was worried I was going to be alone or that it was too late. Really glad you found your way here!
Dag gone it, I missed this. I forgot about it. :( Vinyl: You were born in the wrong generation. I grew up with vinyl. I'm telling my age. lol Queen, ZZ Top, Kansas, Boston, Fleetwood Mac...back when there was no auto tune and talent reigned supreme. :)
Killing all the enemies on a level is a good idea - not only can they drop a staircase, as you said, but also the chance of finding a staircase on that level increases after you have killed them all. Personally, I think it's worth buying the wooden sword, but not most of the others. (It's cheap, and almost anything is an improvement over that rusty sword.) You will get swords as rewards or randomly that are often better than anything you can afford to buy at that time. And go for the 80 bug kills, it is well worth the effort. Use fertilizer to help get gold crops. You can put it down the same day you plant, but not afterwards. Also, as you level up in farming, your chance for higher quality crops improves. Growing _lots_ of parsnips (and also a good amount of kale, which gives good XP) will help you level up enough to get 5 gold crops by the end of the season. Levelling up farming is great for the next season and so forth in the rest of the game. Kale is great to put in the preserves jar early in the game, too. Don't save your mixed seeds right now - you will get tons of them as you go through the game. This is a good time to make use of them to get free crops, at least until day 16. After that, you might get cauliflower from them and it won't mature. All the extra parsnips you grow can be sold or used for gifts (most of the adults like vegetables and Pam loves parsnips) as well as keep some for cooking later. Gold crops sell for more and give more energy, too. And are more valuable gifts. And don't worry, I expect all of us have accidentally destroyed a crop at least a few times. You learn not to carry your pickaxe or axe while tending to crops.
Hey man, im downloading your stardew playlist to keep me calmer during a very sketchy six hours of driving home tomorrow. I hope you enjoy stardew and graveyard keeper as much as i do
Great stream as usual, sorry I missed it. Thanks for putting up the vod. Expanded mod is def your next playthrough, great being surprised by all the new stuff once you've gotten to know all the base stuff, renews the whole game. With UI suites you can choose the level of info, like it can tell you everyone's loved gifts, but you can set it t only tell you if you've found out 'in game', like someone told you in a chat the 'X really likes daffodils'. you might remember, but it'll be in the UI suite info. tbh, you have chat for that, lol The wiki is good at warning you if the page has spoilers
I feel like a Joja play through let you focus on your favorite aspects of gameplay. It makes it so the most important thing is making gold as opposed to needing to gather specific items for the community center. So if you’re really into mining or fishing or whatever, you can just do that all day and make as much money as possible. A community center play through requires you to be more of a generalist.
I mostly save parsnips for farmer's lunch other than the community center and Pam's love gift they are not worth much, they grow fast though. Also, happy editing :D
Indie games that have a small but strong fanbase: - Dredge, chill and scary fishing game - Inscryption, card game lore for days - Cult of the lamb, farming and dungeon rogue like - Pathologic 2 if you want to suffer, not mechanically difficult but hard game none the less - Darkwood, horror indie beautiful and hauting

RIP potato crop. I always keep the scythe or sword selected haha
Lesson learned 😭
@@onceuponaplaythrough One day, in the future, another potato might grow there. Or a carrot.

Much love! Thanks for being with us!
I cannot believe I found you! I was new to stardew about 6 months ago and I LOVE watching people go through what I did with the game LOL
