Bird was known to get in physical fights as a kid and bar fights as an adult. I doubt Laimbeer ever got in a fist fight in his life. His m.o. was to do what you saw, throw elbows and run away. Bird would have kicked his ass.
#birdgang is here!! love your reactions!! You have knowledge of 🏀 and I appreciate your teaching moments!! Jordan hated his guts too!! Bird would definitely be the one standing after 15 min. He knew how to fight, he had 4 brothers and a sister. 😆 plus he was in a few bar fight in the local pubs in Boston.
Bird grew up poor. Bird worked his whole life. Bird worked in the cafeteria in his school during lunch break. Bird threw Hay. Bird worked for the street department...picked up roadkill and hauled trash. Bird was a known fighter and fight starter. Laimbeer was a spoiled rich kid who was a coward and a cheat. He was dirty not tough. Bird would have destroyed Laimbeer if Bird was willing to give Laimbeer the time of day
@ HenDawg. There wasn't an NBA city where the fans absolutely did not hate the Pistons because they were a dirty team. Bill Laimbeer was the dirtiest of the dirty. The refs knew this. There was a reason they did not call a foul on Parrish when he hit Laimbeer. Laimbeer had it coming. Refs were permitted a wide latitude when it came to calling fouls. Laimbeer played dirty from the day he entered the League. Every Ref knew this. They didn't like it. So they CHOSE not to call the foul on Laimbeer because he had it coming. The NBA should go back to those days.
Oh good grief. Larry Bird had a lifetime of actual real life fighting experience. Laimbeer was a silver spoon, spoiled rich kid who took cheap shots on the court and had players and refs breaking things up before things got out of hand. One on one Laimbeer had no chance against Bird. Seriously Son, there is a truism in life - lots of times big guys can't fight because they've never really had to fight because they're big. Experience beats size every time.
You asked our thought about the one play where Rodman, Bird, & Lambier got tangled up under the basket. I agree Rodman probably caused Lambier to fall. However, it appears to me Bill DIDN'T need to grab Larry & take him down with him. Lambier could have been swept down by Rodman & fallen to the ground by himself. It's Lambier. He just wants to hurt the opposition.
Bird grew up fighting and was known to have gotten into more than one bar fight. Laimbeer grew up the son of a rich executive and knew he was already set for life. Bird’s back was bothering him but hate can be a powerful motivator and it’s well established that Bird has an insane level of pain tolerance. I’m taking Bird.
Bird would be still standing after those 15 mins. This was in 87 before Birds back was at it's worse a few years later. Plus there is stories of Bird being in bar fights during his career.
Bird had experience 👍. He'd probably dealt with guys like Bill out in the world at large. Laimbeer would probably fold and whine after a couple connected OR would go dirty but... that would only make Bird MORE angry. 😡 I'm glad it didn't happen. It was bad enough that the Pistons would do all they could to physically damage the Celtics before they, the Celtics, went to compete in the Finals.
*Love your content bro* I watch all of it.! Larry wins *BECAUSE* of his pain tolerance.! That Scumbag Lambeer was bigger but unless he had Larry pinned somehow 15 minutes is a LONG TIME.! Meaning, lots & lots of shots would have been thrown.! So Larry's pain tolerance AND the fact he hated losing so much makes me confident he would win.! Besides, if you watched them play, and I DID, Lambeer was a big baby who was NOT tough, he was just a dirty MF'R just like everyone said...... Keep up the stellar work....
I wouldn't like to play with a teammate who's only task is to hurt players! And Bill saying he spit on the Capricorn and then dunked😂, the only way he made a bucket is when the ball would hit his fist while being dirty and ended up as a lucky shot! He broke Thomas's ripp in his last training? Whats wrong with you Bill?
Nah, he did, but Laimbeer had hold of Larry and pulled him down to try to hurt an already hurt Bird. I grew up in SoCal. So I was a Lakers fan, but Bird was so fun to watch. Highlights don’t fully show how good he was. Stats definitely don’t. Even though his are impressive, he didn’t care about stats. All he cared about was winning.
Have on my team. Hell no. I want people who respect others. Good or bad technically, if you live your life as if everyone else is below you, then you are narcissistic.
Laimbeer was just an ass though. Well known in Detroit for being a total jerk to waitresses, little kids that wanted an autograph. Pretty much the creep on and off the court. Grew up rich and treated people like dirt. I can't respect that. I grew up in a suburb of Detroit and my cousin owned a chain of sports bars. Usually you want pro players to come in but the waitresses all hated Laimbeer.
Does ANYONE like Bill Laimbeer? 😂
Shaq vs Rookie Yao ming
🤷🏻♀️. His mother? His wife?
It's hard to imagine 😄
@@cindyknudson2715 he did have a "Little" domestic violence issue with his wife.. Sooo. Maybe just his mom's!😜💥
ha ha ha ha ..... Hell NO
If Lambeer was on fire I would watch.! Hated that dirty MF'R

The kind of Will Bird had; Laimbeer wouldn't have stood a chance.

Well, Laimbeer did uppercut Barkley like 5 times in the head
Lmaoo crazy
@@HenDawgTV btw, Bill Laimbeer was also the likely creation of Isaiah Thomas LOL LOL

Would have been fun to see Laimbeer vs. Chamberlain. Be measuring Laimbeer for an extra-long coffin.

A video suggestion. 👍
@@cindyknudson2715 good idea 🤝
Larry used to fight in bars
Larry Would have hurt Laimbeer bad as he was hard core poor boy.
I watched those guys play live in the old Boston Garden. Laimbeer was bigger and stronger, but Bird was tougher, quicker, and smarter. Bird>Laimbeer
💯💯
Dillon Brooks reminds me of the modern day Bill Laimbeer. He’s not as physical but every era has to have a villain.
Makes sense lol I do not like Dillion Brooks

If you get to see the game in full. Idk if its on UA-cam. You'll see Lamebeer elbowing Chief in the neck all night.

Laimbeer played very dirty. He didn’t try to just stop his opponent; he tried to purposely hurt people.

He hurt his own teammates. He was a bully. He really tried to hurt Bird,Parish and Jordan and hell will freeze over before he gets in the HOF.

Unpopular opinion: But it looked like Rodman undercut Bill while he was in the air to contest Bird, leading to the awkward fall.

I’m going with Bird. A redneck hillbilly vs a rich kid pretty boy. Larry would crush him…plus Bird was a regular fighter.
Bird would won in a fight. Everyone except Piston fans hated Laimbeer but he made the league fun to watch.
💯
I would have traded him in a minute. Bird would have put him in the hospital
Bill Lambier was a rich kid. Born with a Silverspoon in his mouth. Bird would beat the plasma out of him.
Lmao not the plasma
He was a THUG
Laimbeer was hated by most players in the NBA. He was a dirty player who tried to hurt players!

30 seconds The was a coward
LAMEbeer marketed a fighting game on console, as for who would win, Bird easily we was always winning bar fights.
