      And this is part of the stylists wanting to integrate this tech into something pleasing which I get, but to make this technology, truly upgradable and viable, they should make a module that drops in place on the dashboard like an iPad that you can swap out overtime. Just make it consolidated , make it centralized. Rather than putting in all this flash, that is eventually gonna break.

We had plenty of digital gauges, we had nav systems as well as apple CarPlay was starting to come out, we have the 2nd gen Prius with the speed and gas like this, just more elementary, and then we have Mazda with its nav system pushed back like this, just put it together! I’m waiting for this trend to end. We need real buttons, and better visibility of the road. Don’t get me wrong, I want a big screen that mirrors my phone without lag, with the phone at arms reach to use for accessing touch controls, but priority needs to be on better sight lines without screens in the way of the hood lines, priority needs to be on real buttons in intuitive places that are lit at night, with a dash that isn’t distracting. But the tough part is the screen needs to be in a good place to see close to the windshield so your eyes don’t move too far from the road, while at the same time, not impeding your view.

The Lincoln brand has mostly been for older drivers, is their data showing younger drivers are looking at Lincolns now or are they trying to sway the younger drivers? I love tech. But this is too much! Like others have commented, we can’t use our phone while driving but this is ok????

      I personally do think it's OK. The screen layout will be set to my preference before I drive. I am already looking straight and side to side constantly whole driving normally daily. A quick glance to view some data isn't a distraction for me. But I can see some people getting distracted if it is too much information for them. But those folks probably already know their limits and won't get this.

    how about less screens and shit, and a great, powerful engine, and an excellent transmission...not a crappy 2.0 liter wheezy 4 cylinder....wait till one of these screens goes out..

    I think the screens are way too high and a lot of short people would not be able to see the hood

    • @KautiousNupe
      @KautiousNupe 9 місяців тому +1

      If that's the case - folks that are shorter that are interested in this car would discover those issues during a test drive. And if it doesn't work for them, there's LOTS of other cars on Earth for them to pick from. EVERYTHING is NOT for EVERYBODY and that's OK.

    I don’t feel that a lot of thought was placed into finishing this product. That center screen seems like an afterthought, and looks out of place. The screens look too far back, and most drivers don’t want turn their head all the way to the right to get basic information.
