    I would also like to add... Once entire grill is a hot as you can get it. turn half of it off, and be sure to rest the filet portion of the porterhouse balaced over the side without flame on it, (makes for a much juicier and sexier portion of the steak that is the most desired)

      Thanks for the advice. I like that idea. I will try that this week.

    So I just purchased 10 2" thick porterhouse Angus steaks. But I don't have a grill. My oven will go up to 500 degrees. Should I cook my steak for a total of 20 minutes? 10 minutes on each side for a medium well? Thanks for your video. I see you cooked your steak at 7.5 minutes per side as it was a 1.5" steak.

      Sorry I didn't get back with you yesterday.... If you still have that amazing steak.... I would do a reverse sear in the oven.. 275 degrees until the steak is 131 degrees internal. Do you have a probe or a thermometer. It's super easy. Then you just sear it in a hot pan on the stove for a minute on each side. I don't have a reverse sear video, but here is my friend Sam doing it, and it doesn't get easier than this... Check this video out.... ua-cam.com/video/VN1ApmL2ma4/v-deo.html

    Is there something else to use except salt for those with high blood pressure 🤷

    • @flamethrowergrill
      @flamethrowergrill  2 роки тому +1

      Yes.... there are seasonings that have low sodium. There is one called Dan-O that is good with no or low sodium. Here is a link. This is Walmart, but you can get it elsewhere online.

Watch for the video. Going to blow her mind!!! Thanks again for the tip! Also, the Halibut and fillet came out amazing. Didn't film it, was for a bday party.... but will do it again in near future!

      @@flamethrowergrill It is simply thee best. If you can buy a case of
      Sushi grade tuna and keep it in your freezer for whenever you get a craving thats the best way. Thats what I did.
      I also kept some pickled ginger,Toasted sesame seeds,Wasabi,chives
      And cucumber for a bed. Hint. Instead of using soy sauce, use a sweet teriyaki sauce. To me it doesn't taste so salty and gives the tataki a nice finish.

      @@howardharaway2259 My girlfriend turned me onto sushi. Never had it before. I agree, love the teriyaki better than soy. I will buy all those ingredients for sure. Thank you for the tips because I'm pretty sure when I make this for her.... it's going to be a great night! lol
