need to do more full build videos like this!
I’m glad to see Mike back around the gas monkey shop again. Everybody loved Mike on the show.
It's good to see Mike, dude is a legend!
Returning to the authentic Gas Monkey Show - keep up the great work! I absolutely adore it!!
Wrong
I've rewatched fast n loud so many times and until today it never even occurred to me to see if they had a youtube channel. Omg...I'm so glad they do. I've missed watching Richard Rawlings and his guys.
Where's Chase?
This team plus Mike is such a fun vibe
So all new body, motor and chassis!!! Wow man. Can I buy the gmc? U clearly didn't need it
Phipps having the real fun ripping it up! Absolute legend!
About time you do builds again. Remember your roots. Those grew you to where you are now.
ah, so the only thing they keep from the original is the VIN#, and the subframe to hold the body panels?
Was anything from the original truck even used.I was kinda looking forward to the stepside box but cant go wrong with the fleetside.
This isnt a restoration...this is built new....and it is going to be Fing sweet.
About time you almost built something
So ya what part of this truck is the one ya bought the vin tag ?
That's the way you build a cool ride. You pull a old truck in the shop then push it back out and order a whole new truck. This makes know sense at all. Love watching the Gasmonkey builds but this is not making a old truck look new. Sorry that's just my opinion about this one. Would have loved to seen the old truck rebuilt.
For those of that don’t understand, first of all most original frames are usually toast and these frames cannot accept modern engines and transmissions. It is Breyer to either a new frame. This is also a show build not a daily driver big difference. Also ask yourself if one of these trucks are wrecked and several body panels are replaced it’s still an original vehicle. Also the time it takes to sandblast, cut out rust, weld in patches, then body fill and sand, much cheaper to purchase new sheet metal.
This is a kit truck form a magazine. A Lego set out of a box!
At least it's form a magazine, right?
Wow, was awesome to see Mike coy back in shop .. miss him being around.
“Every which way but loose” Clint Eastwood film had the Chevy truck version… while the second movie “Any which way you can” had the GMC version…..same color in both movies and I guess they thought few would notice the difference….it’s really those dual lights that give it away 👍🏻😎
Right turn Clyde 😂
By chance I watched them both yesterday they were on in the UK, even I noticed different trucks and were not into pickups in the UK.
@@jeremywentworth1833 Watching them back to back is good fun! It’s the way the Dirty Harry series should be watched too… binge it in one day ha ha
Well done guys. I am soooo happy you're doing GMG builds again.
I love the show descriptions....amazing how little of the truck they use....cool seeinging MC back
You should have to keep at least 50% of the old truck otherwise it's really just a replica
Its about time Gad Monkey got back to building Rods.😊
That is going to be a sick truck and i am so pumped to see it done.Your crew does an great job.
The only thing i don't like is the slammed part for such trucks, all of these cool builds should have at least 5 inch in height clearance
from wheels to the fenders not rubbing tires.. otherwise this truck will be quite epic indeed.. shout out from Europe !
@@poplaurentiu4148 yeah going to be too low for where I live but going to on air ride I think
AT 13:50 ..... ............
I was thinking the same
WHERE the F*CK ........
is PHiPPS .💥💥💥💥
So basically all we have of the real truck is a cab... lol interesting kit truck
Was thinking the same thing.....
That's literally the Trigger's broom of trucks!
Good to see GMG doing what they do best, quality builds.
This is what I started watching Fast and Loud for here in the UK many years ago. Please keep build videos coming👍
Could have been a nice build as a step side. Get someone in there that does metal fab again.
Awesome start to the build can't wait to see the finished product and the sick paint job Mike will lay down on this truck
Why would you purchase an old When you can build a brand new truck with the same exact character. Is it just for the Vin number
I use to own that truck nice to see it becoming something nice !
😂 95% of it went in the trash
Love to watch the builds that's the real Gasmonkey that's what it all about . Get you some of that !!!!
How about that bus?
It will be done in 2028 👍👍
Miss the old guys so much
So a build where you just ordered all the major components pre-built?
From all of that only was used cab 😂
It's really not a 68 anymore.
Is this sponsored by Lego?
HATERS!
Richard is right y'all are a bunch of haters they are modifying a truck, hell even gm bought parts from other companies no manufacturer makes all the parts to make the vehicles THEY BUY PARTS from other manufacturers to build the cars and trucks
I love seeing Mike back in the shop!
I do like the double headlight on the gmc. Brings back many memories. Like to see more builds like this 👍
Really enjoy the build videos, makin old things look new with a lot of custom touches, nice.
Getting The Parts Sponcerd Makes One Hell Of A Difference !! 🔥💪🔥Great Build !!
Love it! Totally love what you guys do. Much appreciate the videos and all the hard work. Cheers.
Kudos on the rad fabrication.
I want to say how amazing it is to see where this version of GMG is compared to the start (on UA-cam). The production of the videos has improved a ton! I like seeing the behind the scenes included unlike Fast n Loud. Less (Hollywood) drama and more info on how things actually are done. Love seeing Mike back, he’s always been the coolest!
Really good to see the one of the best painters you have working in the shop again. Mike Coy is a monster in the paint booth.
You know , seeing the old fellas really makes this show.
The talent of this team is unrivaled. True masters of the craft. Amazing build, cant wait to see what the end results will be!
Really cool I like what you guys did with the tubs
Richard should have a commercial on the discovery channel advertising his UA-cam channel.
Awesome, love new build videos.
Okay I like this build I'm down for this series this is a little bit better built in what the goonsquad would do lol
Love it , you guys have got it going on . Definitely going to be a one of a kind , and I love Richard's idea of GMG that's going to look great on this truck. Stay strong and keep up the good work .
White walls and chrome was the 90s! I miss those days
Love seeying Mike back with u guys. Can't wait for part 2 of this awesome build. Greetz from the Netherlands.🔥
I'm liking the build, especially with the fleetside bed, and I can't wait to see the next episode. 😁
So what is left of the original truck... just the cab
Hello 👋 Richard , I’m Stephen Currie from Columbus, ga. I have a 1984 Silverado 4+4. I’ve had my truck for 25 years & I have wanted to have my truck transported to your shop. Mannnn!! You are the DAMNNN greatest!
Can’t wait to see this finished 😎
Finally a full build thank u this is all we want in life🙏
Love these builds 🤘
Hell yeah! Dope truck can't wait to see it done.
Seems to me that, considering how much you're gonna replace, you might as well design a car on a computer and build it. Rebuilding this and replacing 80-90% of the car and then saying it was rebuild seems a little odd.
I agree its about time y'all get back to doing what y'all do best, and that is building sick shit, and having Mike Coy back doing your paint work..What else is there to say, Mike your the man dude..🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐒🐒🐒🐒🐒🐒🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯🍻
Great job! Saudações do Brasil!
GREAT SHOW! GREAT CONTENT!!
I have a question if you're using an all-new frame and you're using all new sheet metal what part of that truck is going to be original besides maybe the grill cuz the way it's looking it's not going to be much of that truck is original except for the grill just asking🤔
The cab
I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH MY C10 FAMILY!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!!
This is going to be sick! Can’t wait for the next episode. 🔥
Why buy a truck when you are replacing everything from the frameup?
Ok, so you used a brand new chassis, brand new body panels, and a new motor... was there any restoration done at all? Haha! Very cool build though!
I miss the days where shops actually build not assemble. Maybe you can do an episode on the Frame company that actually built the chassis.
Love those side by side lights also
hell yeah my brother! ive done a 67 before great trucks
Gas Monkey does only bolt on and bolt together stuff. Hell my Mother can do this stuff
Bolt on shit or not it’s the passion!!that’s what it’s all about brother they all collectively have a passion…..the sickness if you will, just like the rest of us man💪💪
Bolt or not, you seem entertained enough to watch, and don't think it isn't a real jobs doing it. I build off-road rigs for a living and yet most of it is bolt on but It takes skill in order to do real suspension work like I do. Most people think it's blocks and shocks. But a real long travel or long arm kit is quite intuitive and takes a patient and well measured out procedures and proper welding
Yeah everything in this build just bolted right up. Took no skill set what so ever.
Don’t be a hater. Sorry Richard isn’t restoring the truck back to factory for your grandpa.
Anyone can bolt parts together. @@DontAtMe2k24
This build is gonna be sick!!!
Very slick production, just like watching an episode of fast and loud 👍
The truck you started with was a Chevrolet because it had coil springs, all the GMC trucks had leaf springs. I know because I have a 1972 GMC short bed step side
Where did the young man go that did the bus build?
Saw every episode of the OG show. This is Wonderful.
great job with the truck one of the best builds
very cool episode, love watching builds
I LOVE SEMA BUILD S!!!! ONE OF MY FAVORITE EVENTS LEADING UP TO THE SEMA SHOW!!!!
so cool, actualy nice to see a build...
Fantastic vid, really enjoyed it, thanks!
I love this build and all the fabrication work is becoming a work of art
🎨 😛👌
Nice new build!!!
Excellent video. Looking forward to the next instalment :)
Lookin like an awesome build 👍
The old paintwork looked cool but no doubt, Mr Coy will reinvent the colour-wheel again and make it look bloody wonderful. 👍😊☺️
Back too Monkeying around!! 🙌🏻 sick c10 build.. .
Can't wait to see it done!
Nice, been waiting for a new build video, hopefully you're gonna do many many episodes.
Working with new metal is always nice!
One of the best videos I have seen I awhile good job guys can’t wait to see the next one
Cant wait to see part two. Looking mean!
Crazy builds
I love the old step sides.I have not seen one on the road in a long time.
LOVE THAT SHOW
You have to keep this team together!!!!
The team of everything comes in pre done and new lol
What's the story with Chase?
This was really well done! loved seeing Mike! "this is some fired up garage shit!!! so funny
