We've been doing a bunch of research before we buy a lite weight camper, and this is absolutely the most informative video we've seen yet. Thanks for all of the useful info!
Extremely informative 👏 I'm seriously considering purchasing a new travel trailer...I have never owned one before and this video perfect ...thank you !
Getting mine next week. Downsizing for fuel economy. We chose the 17FD. No more gas guzzling travel trailers. I'm sure my Tacoma will get better gas mileage with the Bushwacker.
I have saved this video. This is what a WALK THROUGH should look like. I learned a lot of great things, except I have hot water in the tank but not at the faucet. Is there something I missed? Thank you for this great video.
Please give our service center a call. You may have a mixing valve in the wrong position somewhere within your system. Hopefully this is found to be a quick and easy fix.
Thank You SOOO much!!! This is my first RV and the dealer was not nearly as good at describing the details!! I was doing some stuff wrong, but not anymore! Thank you again.
Since you post technical, I need to ask you a question, maybe you can also suggest this to the manufacturers of all of these RV’s. But hopefully you can answer my questions. Why is it that they waste their time with off-road type tires? Why not go with better Low Roll Resistance (LRR) tires so that the towing vehicle won’t have pull as hard and waste added fuel. Makes sense to me. Fred San Diego Ca.
Simple answer is lots of buyers buy the "look" and the dream. The nobby tires certainly don't help on the highway miles, as you've pointed out, but they do assist a little with mitigating lateral slide on trails and un-improved surfaces. Maybe not tons of help, but some lateral grip to keep the trailer from slipping sideways and pulling the back end of the tow vehicle around is something we've heard from shoppers from time-to-time. So.... for the most part, it's a look and vanity piece, that has "some" functional benefits in the right conditions.
Great tech tour, thank you! Where can we find the insect screens? Also, you mentioned a city water pressure regulator. What's the recommended pressure limit for this camper trailer?
The insect screens are easy to find online, but our parts department can not only make sure you get the correct sizes... but they can also get them delivered to you! For these trailers, we like to keep the water pressure to around 50psi. Give our parts department a call! (512) 251-4536
Wow! I echo many of the comments here. This is the travel trailer our family is looking at getting and I am just Thrilled to have found this video! Very good revives! Where is this RV dealer located?
In this video, winterizing is just referring to getting as much water out of all of the water system components and replacing that evacuated water with antifreeze (except for the water heater). You can certainly camp in a winterized trailer, but it will have decreased functions and you'll need to modify some of your camping practices to manage things like water and waste. It will be more like tent camping regarding water and waste.
Does the water pump need to be on when using water if not connected to city water? Itwould be nice to see where where water pump is located and how to winterize.
If your not connected to the hydrant, you will need the water pump to pump it out of the tank. It’s located under the front dinette with a valve for winterizing. Call us if you need more details on how to winterize!
What all can you run off of just the battery if you get a solar panel? Fridge, 110, usb, lights ac? Or do you need a inverter and a controller installed?
I have the same question too. Plan on doing a decent amount of “rough” camping. I am hoping they the inverter is built in, or that everything. Can run off propane… I am getting this one regardless and will make adjustments. But I have been wondering the same thing.
Any opinions on build quality. I have a small rv and quality is not impressive. I love the Nucamp T@B 400 but it's almost twice as expensive as this. Will an under $20000 unit hold up?
The Bushwhackers are a great product, but are not the build quality of the NuCamp. You usually get what you pay for! We have lots of happy customers with both the bushwhackers and the NuCamps, it all about what you are looking for!
@@barkerbrb Not sure this trailer weighs less than an RPOD 171 by very much.....the differences might be RPOD's larger fridge and quality. And as said RPOD more expensive...
I am curious about this question too. Have you been able to get the answer. We are defiantly going to get this travel trailer, so I will find out eventually. But I am debating if solar might be useful for more rough camping, and boon-docking, or if it would be better to just run everything off the LP.
Build quality is garbage, the shower interior panels were cut too large and the cauking job is abysmal. Looks like it was thrown together with slave labor

Just took mine out for the 1st time today. This video has been referenced about 30 times today. Thank you so very much!
What all can you run off of the battery/solar if you plug in panels. Are the 110 outlets/usb on the battery. I didn’t see anything about an inverter.
This is awesome, Braxton Creek should give you a bonus. Definitely saving as a reference vid.
We agree ;)
Best damn RV review i ever seen. Good job man, im saving for one now.
Sweet! Glad it was helpful!
Excellent review, very detailed

i realize I am quite off topic but does anybody know a good place to stream new movies online ?
@Marshall Clay i watch on FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
@Zaiden Ignacio Definitely, have been using Flixzone for years myself =)
@Zaiden Ignacio thank you, I went there and it seems to work =) Appreciate it!!
@Marshall Clay You are welcome xD

I am about to start traveling for work I definitely need one of these this one is a serious contender
Great info. Thank you. Looking to buy the 17D. Will give me a good awareness when we see the dealer next week.
Someone should do a video of installing a whole solar panel kit on this camper that be awesome.

Thanks for the tour, we’re looking to buy our first trailer in the next year or so good info.
Awesome job detailing the trailer! Just what I was looking for!

Do you have a link for the insect screens and the extra water knob ????
Nice video, but keep in mind the emergency window can easily come loose and blow away. I would re-engineer this ifyou get one.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Great video. Thank you. Will be very helpful. Where would you store a black water hose? Why 2 fresh water inlets?

Round Rock, Texas!
@@RVTechToursatPrincessCraft thanks 🙏.
What is the coupler height when level?
How do you winterize this unit the 17bh? Does it have a hot water bypass and a tube to pump antifreeze?
You keep talking about winterizing. Is the trailer livable in winter or do extra things need to be done to do so? (Besides extra tubal care)

how do i summerize it

Is there a battery disconnect to disconnect battery to keep from losing power from battery while not in use between camp trips ?
No there is not
How do you rotate the rooftop antenna? Is it omnidirectional?
It is an omni.
Great job going over details! 👍
Same for my 15 footer ?
What advantages does this unit have versus an R-Pod R_-171? Need to know why it would be preferable to the R-Pod.
It is cheaper and it weighs less
@@barkerbrb Not sure this trailer weighs less than an RPOD 171 by very much.....the differences might be RPOD's larger fridge and quality. And as said RPOD more expensive...
Panel below Fridge
Is there a solar charge controller on board? or is that port hooked straight to the battery? thanks!

@@Chickmamapalletfarm no solar charge controller on board. Confirmed when I bought the RV.
Excellent job, great info ty😎👍
Do any bushwhacker plus 17bh or 17fd have battery disconnect switch ?
They d not come standard but are easy to install aftermarket
