- John Fisher is back at it again and was in public for almost a whole hour as he announced the official move of the A's to Sacramento. IS this a good move? GUESS.
Also, wristbandgate is flying arountd the internet and a team memo was acquired. Yes, we're talking about the Oakland A's AGAIN!

“John Fisher will do whatever is slightly below the minimum” wow that is hilarious and incredibly accurate.
all manfred's fault for letting this happen.
MLB has failed the A’s. Hate what fisher has done to my once great franchise
As a Montreal Expos fan, I feel your pain and am rooting for you guys to somehow find a way to keep the A's
At least they actually pulled the trigger. The Ray's ownership floated the idea of doing half the season here and half in Montreal and everyone stopped going to games altogether 😂
You know there's something wrong when a flirida baseball team can't sell tickets despite being a generally good team and the hickey team has been selling out for a decade.
He's even more mad because no one wanted the municipal governments to give him a tax break to build a stadium
Boycott Ranadive.
Thank you, Trevor May for speaking out about Fisher and his group of clowns 🤡
Trevor may skits aren't real my therapist tells me
It’s all in your head
Like they watched the movie Major League and thought it'd be fun to do in real life. How evil for no reason
that was always my thought lmao. the other baseball movie worked, why not major league 😂
Being an Oakland A's fan sucks rn. I have so many memories at the Coliseum (despite it desperately needing to be updated/replaced). The hardcore fans love this team more than anything despite the constant roster changes the past 20 years and now they are being treated like trash and blamed for something they have little to no control over. Ive been wanting to get my own Kelly Green jersey for months now (I just graduated college and want to get something cool for myself) but with all the ownership/dave kaval being generally shitty towards the fans I don't want to support that. On the other hand, I've been a fan my whole life, so going to ebay and finding marked up jerseys just feels wrong. Plus the new jerseys are hot garbage.
TLDR; FJF
The rest of the league: we don't want to sign Trevor Bauer because of his history and baggage
The A's: we don't want to sign him because he might win us games
"I can't wait to see my underpaid roster get demolished by other teams"
I drove from Spokane to Oakland for Opening Weekend to finish off my personal grieving, and I gotta say it was f%cking depressing. The Coliseum was empty, the vendors closed, the parking lot barren, I mean hell the deep fried cheeseburger stand in right field was gone.
Sports fans love to trash Oakland and A's fans for the state of the club, but true baseball fans know that Fisher is the worst owner in pro sports and degrades the game of baseball every day he remains in control of a franchise with a rich history.
Hopefully Sacramento won't get proper F'd like Oakland.
Vegas you'll learn quickly that your nice new shiny stadium won't bring you joy, nor a winning season until Fisher is gone
This is an absolute disgrace and embarrassment to the game of baseball not just from Oakland ownership but from the MLB Commissioner in its lack of effort in the situation. Even as someone who lives on the opposite coast and no relation to Oakland this makes me ashamed to even watch Major League Baseball… what a scam
I HATE YOU TREVOR MAY! I hate you for reminding me of my corporate job just as the week ended! 😂 Love your channel!
The Athletics inspired Aaron Sorkin to write the line “How can you not be romantic about baseball?”, but they have an owner that isn’t romantic about it in the slightest.
Best part of moving to Vegas is that expansion teams do great (Golden Knights, Aces) there while relocation teams are garbage (Raiders). Good to see that streak will continue!
Lol
Glad to see someone else understands this too, Vegas doesn’t care about teams unless they start there
I mean, if I was a fan living there, I wouldn't want Oakland's (or any city's) sloppy seconds
I do see and agree with your point in principle... but it's worth noting the WNBA Aces were formerly the San Antonio Silver Stars.
I have no doubt that at some point half the managers have called down to the bullpen and said “warm John Doe up” only to hear “um he is not with the team right now”
This HURTS-HURTS-HURTS!! I’ve been an A’s fan for 50 years. I grew up watching A’s games at the Coliseum. Then I drove 400 miles one-way from LA just to attend A’s games after moving and living there for over 20 years. I raised my kids to be A’s fans, despite living in LA. My oldest was proposed to on the field at the Coliseum. Fast forward to 2019, we moved to West Sacramento to be closer to the grandkids. I drive by Sutter Health Field on my way to work every weekday and now it’s like salt in the wound on a daily basis. So, right now, I’m a super, super NOT HAPPY person.
Glad to see you having fun with and putting the new green screen to such good use. Bravo good sir, bravo.
Trevor is having wayyyyy too much fun with that new green screen. I love it
As a lifelong Oakland A's fan who lives in Sacramento. How the hell am I supposed to feel about this? I would love for Sacramento to get a permanent baseball team (Preferably and expansion team). But I love the Oakland A's and my greatest wish is for them to stay in Oakland where they belong. Do I go to the games for the team that I love that is now in my backyard? Do I protest and stay away for the sake of the city of Oakland? Do I hate this because it gives Vegas an opportunity to get their ducks in a line for the move? Do I like this because it allows time for Oakland to to do the same? HELP!!!!! Sincerely, Confused in Sactown.
This is me exactly as well!! I'm with you.
My feelings exactly!
Sour cream donuts? Actually pretty good. I read an article that said that the field will be used practically every day of the season. Can you imagine what shape it will be in at the end of the year.
Didn’t even think about that 🤦
Really enjoying the content Trev. Appreciate you calling out the As because I feel awful for their fans.
Yep, but he can mention Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees!!
Trevor’s like the baseball version of Cody Ko
I wonder how fans in Kansas City and Philadelphia felt when the franchise left those cities. Having lived in South Florida and watching the Marlins for nearly 20 years I’m of the opinion that the revenue sharing system attracts ownership groups in small markets that are happy to milk the system and survive on corporate welfare while keeping their expenses down. Fans deserve better than gapping for a .500 record each season.
Spot on. Same boat for the Pirates. Really hurts year in and year out. Fans know what is going on and nothing is done about it.
My only thoughts are thanks for sticking up for us T May. This is why you're never paying for drinks in Oakland again. We love you out here big dog!
Sour cream donuts. Thanks, Trevor, for helping to shed light on scrooge mcfuk's bs. Lifelong A's fan SELL the TEAM!!!
Brilliant channel, thank you sir.
Trevor May! You’re the man!!
God bless Trevor May and his magical Green Screen of truth. Amen.
April fools, Oakland fans! Wait, where did the fans go to???
Sour Cream Donuts!
Sour cream donut?! The damn hell is that?!? :::runs to Google::::
:::runs back::: well... they LOOK normal, and I'd absolutely try them... and maybe have but didn't know it, haha.
Sour cream donuts, please talk about THE KANGAROO COURT
Does their “new” park have possums?
A's fan since I saw the Yanks come to Oakland in 1969. Rick Monday all time favorite. Can't do it any more. This is not a MLB franchise. MiBL on field. Bush league in the front office. Oakland/MLB...PLEASE SUE JOHN FISHER AND MANFRED-MLB!!!
As far as Ruiz, small sample size but he was on pace to put up the worst defensive season of all time over a full schedule.
It's just one of those stats casual fans don't pay attention to and the wristbandgate thing was started by the people making the wristbands like. C'mon lmao.
That said fuck Fisher
This is so incredibly JUICY, Trevor. That beginning was a whirlwind. "The void" was glorious. You do all your own video editing too right? Maybe I made that part up. Good video antics like always!!
I watched Secret Base's docuseries on the Minnesota Vikings. Coach Jerry Burns couldn't remember guys names, so he just called them all Big Nuts. However, Vikings players really liked him despite that.
Hey Trevor you know I’ve got to be your biggest okaland as fan becuase when. You pitched there every game you closed that I watched you won and I just want to say thank you so much for bringing me joy which I lack a lot with the as and for what you said about fisher I just want to say thanks so so much it’s just so great what you did also I fucking hate John fisher so much worry everything I wrote
Sacramento isn't part of the Bay Area. It's a separate metro area and a separate media market (3rd-largest in California in both cases, so actually a bigger market than the Padres have). It'd be hilarious if they just ended up staying there because Vegas and SLC both got tired of Fisher's shit.
Don’t forget to like and subscribe!
Also, it’s become abundantly clear that many of you don’t know what a sour cream donut is. I still love you though.
Sour Cream Donut
If the average MLB owner is the UFC, Fisher is Bumfights. It would be hilarious if the MLBPA didn't approve of playing in a MiLB stadium. If MLB had a real commissioner and not a sock puppet full of sour cream doughnuts, they'd nix this.
Sacramento is north east. Also they filed for trademarks for Sacramento A’s so they clearly are trying to bury the story on Oakland and move forward.
This entire situation is depressing. A's fans deserve better. Oakland deserves better. As much as I dislike Bob Nutting, Oakland's owner is a top-level villain.
Sour cream doughnuts.
I’m wearing my Rooted In Oakland sweatshirt BUT I’m putting a piece of tape with a handwritten ‘NOT SO’ in front of it 💚💛😂
Great post. This whole mess is unnecessary. The Bay Area could be a great two team market. MLB (and Fisher) screwed this up for 20 years. PS Sour Creme Doughnuts are interesting, I'm partial to chocolate myself.
I went to games during the dark times , when they were constructing MountDavis . Saw some pretty bad teams , some others should have won more . Baseball was the first sport I loved , the A's I loved most . Justike the NFL , I won't be supporting MLB anymore.
One group who we haven't heard much from in this saga is the Player's Assoication. Have they lodged any objections yet?
I live in Vegas, and I feel terrible for As fans. I don’t want them and especially not John Fisher, I’d want expansion
Trevor - How many AAA games are there are year? Are there concerns over possible field conditions since it will host an additional 80+ MLB games?
Live in Minnesota but the A's are my hometown team, keep up the great content.
The MoneyBall riff was precious
Amazing how John Fisher has three big sources of income (Gap, SJ Earthquakes, A's) and he still pretends he's poor. I still have major doubts that he forks out over a billion for a new stadium and then continue to invest in the team as a high payroll team. (He made the same promise with the Quakes after all). The Vegas crowd is actually expecting this to happen but anyone who's been paying attention knows this isn't happening. At this point, gotta see it to believe it but all signs are pointing towards John Fisher continuing his cheap antics
Good work, no notes. Sour Cream Doughnuts. Baseball Baseball.
Of course Ruiz and Rooker were punished for supporting a fan group. Fisher and Kaval hate their fans.
Bro, 6:41 what is that shadow? Look like a giant's hand doing something... suspicious
the marlins increased payroll right after they got the new stadium... and then traded everyone again. If they increase payroll, itll be for a couple years, and then back to low payroll.
For a guy who was signed to the A’s, I’m impressed you still have a sense of humor. Was their plan before your injury to trade you at the deadline for prospects? Do they tell you this when they sign them? I’m just curious since we never got to see it pan out.
Sour Cream Donuts. It's sad to see such a storied franchise be moved for the 3rd time now. It'd be a shame if they would of actually invested in the team and maybe this would of never happened.
Side note: I know it was a joke, but can MLB teams trade their players to foreign leagues like that?
I genuinely believe John Fisher was told about this interview by an unpaid intern and google "A's current roster" to try to learn 3 names
I’m having a really hard time even watching highlights. I’m picking another team to root for and I think it might have to be the jays…sorry y’all.
The MLBPA needs to stand up for its members and veto this move. This is unacceptable.
This is actually way more entertaining that the other baseball talk shows/podcasts/news where its just baseball heads sitting and chatting!
No disrespect to all the great Southern League players who I have watched over the past few years and now have an opportunity to make the majors due to trades and whatnot outside of their control haven ended up with the A's, but is Oakland even trying to field a decent AAAA team these days?
Sour cream donuts Loved your stint with the Twins thoughts on Joe Mauer and his HOF election ?
If the A’s owner’s suite contains sour cream donuts, you nay need an XXL denim jacket to smuggle them out. If you’re wearing a yellow wristband to go with that lemon glaze and are seen by the owner, you may need the denim jacket to protect yourself from getting pelted by sour cream donuts. At least that’s what the memo from above said. Either way we’re sure you’ll make the adjustment and be back here at 6am.
Great video!
I don’t understand what happened to Billy Beane. That stadium is Oakland was his legacy, so much so that he stuck with the team when he had the chance to do what Theo Epstein ended up doing. Is he even around anymore? I never hear anything from him.
I don’t think this would ever happen, but what if the As players decided not to play in order to protest relocation? It would definitely be a sacrifice for them.
Sour cream donuts? Next baked good better be lemon cheesecake or we’re sending you back to Oakland 😅
Of course Fisher can name a player on his team. Aaron Judge. He plays for the As right?
John Fisher is a pair of sunglasses away from being Agent Smith.
Man this platooning section really hit hard for me because my Tigers are doing it right now with a young squad and its driving me crazy
I for one am excited to cheer for the Athletic Sacs
Sour Cream Donuts!!! Wah!! I need this in my life!!!
Sour cream doughnuts with a lemon glaze. Oh yeah!
Lovin' your channel. Not so fond of the sour cream donuts though...
Fisher is a total clown. All the money in the world camt buy you brains, integrity or a soul.
Maybe if they have more rainbow days and get all female announcers they can make a comeback.
Fisher has been tanking since he took over in order to chase the fans away so he would have an excuse to pull the team out of Oakland.
the only good thing about this is living in sacramento lmao but fuck john fisher
Sour cream donuts are the undisputed champion of the donut coliseum
You’d win a fight with John Fisher.
We have a president that cannot name his cabinet members nor his own family 😂
Why would las vegas want to get involved in this shit show fisher has made out of a historic franchise.
Trevor, my wife and I were just talking about this yesterday. As a A’s fan since I was kid( I’m 58 now) I’ve supported the good and BAD teams. This has been the hardest couple of years. Here’s our question, are you a “true fan” of this team if you choose to not follow them? My heart can only be broken so many times. Love your insights to a game I truly love. By the way where can I get one of those sweet hats? Size 7 and 3/8.
I know I’m not Trevor, but I’ve stopped supporting the organization, while every once in a while rooting the team on during the games. Old habits die hard I guess. I just can’t give the team any more of my money knowing it is going to billionaires who never cared about us, and have even disrespected us to turn us off. So I’ll cheer on the players from afar for at least this last season
Imagine having to go there as the Dodgers or Yankees. What an embarrassment.
John fisher gets one christmas preseant every year and its from arte moreno saying thank you for taking the heat off me!
Would Bauer play for the A's?
Watching baseball and second screening this. Guessing “cranberry muffin”
pumpkin bread
The guy has NO place in sports.
Start a go fund me to send John Fisher and Rob Manfred to the moon
I love Trevor and his videos. But I got a question my guy. Did ALL of your hats come from an overstuffed cardboard box that's been in the attic for no less than 3 years?? I only ask because I have a bunch that look the same way.
Yes. That and cat hair
Trevor... gaining some retirement weight? ha ha
Hey Trevor, what do you think the likelihood is, that A's players would start refusing to play at all over the next few years.
Also, i don't see any big name talent wanting to play for this owner, but I would love to see the A's sold to someone who gives a shit... maybe Reggie Jackson. That's a guy who gets things done.
It won’t happen, the athletics never sign big name talent regardless. Their whole thing is getting lower value players then trading them if they gain value.
Even if the whole league tries to boycott them, there will always be players who’d rather go and play for the A’s than see their major league hopes end.
Why has Fisher been allowed to lose on purpose?
How is it that MLB is allowing all this to happen? Are they in on it? I’m pretty sure everyone is loosing revenue because of this, so why is it that MLB is allowing it to happen?
Because they see more profit down the road. They simply don’t go along with things that don’t have that light at the end of the tunnel
All these videos are extremely based 🔥
As a Bay Area native. Sac DEFINITELY is not part of the Bay
Sour cream donuts… never heard of those
Oh, I know that haha, I’m talking more of a “tv territory” way, meaning tv rights are more transferable than to say, Salt Lake.
@@TrevorMayBaseball haha important distinction to us Bay Area kids. Sac is dope but they are definitely a different vibe than the bay
Fisher sure has made himself out to be the Hitler of MLB . He needs to go, somehow, any how .. we need to storm the beaches to get him out.... One thing Oakland CAN do is bulldoze the Coliseum site while they're gone and rebuild a NEW ball park ! That would get them a leg up on anyone else. . - - GREAT VIDEO TREVOR !
I’m a 22 year Oakland A’s fan. I ran the bases as a kid and was a season ticket holder during 2 separate years. To be honest they’re dead to me in 10 years when none of the players on the team have played in Oakland I will be completely disconnected from the team.
Thanks for the chocolate chip cookie recipe!
