Join UA-camr Amanda McKnight as she reviews the full season 1 of Gen V. Gen V is the superhero spin off streaming series from Amazon Prime set in The Boys universe. It was created and developed by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke and is loosely based off The Boys comic story "We Gotta Go Now" which is about a team of teenage superheroes The Boys infiltrate known as the G-Men. Gen V on the other hand, centers around Godolkin University and it's super powered student body who are learning how to hone their powers as well as learn skills and absorb knowledge like at all universities as the compete to be among the top-ranked supes on campus. But Godolkin also hide a secret beneath it's surface, the Woods, a lab where superheroes are experimented on. Gen V stars Chance Perdomo as Andre Anderson, Lizzie Broadway as Emma Meyer aka Little Cricket, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, and Patrick Schwarzenegger as Luke Riordan aka Golden Boy, and Asa Germann as Sam. It also features cameos from The Boys including Victoria Neuman, Homelander, and The Deep, and introduces and adapts characters from the comics like Tek Knight. At first I was afraid because I didn't think The Boys needed a spin-off. Gen V is a good series that ties in well into The Boys universe. RIP Chance Perdomo 🕊️

Yeah when Gen V was first announced i was like Really ? a college spin-off 🙄🤦 and i even considered skipping this show but after all the positive reviews and word of mouth i was like oh fuck it I'll check it out and im so glad i did Gen V is just as great as The Boys very surprisingly so.

Didn’t think I would like Gen V as much as I did. When spinoffs match the original show in quality then you know you have a strong franchise. Btw, I think Marie is an amalgamation of the DC character Bloodwork and the Marvel character Decay. The actress for Marie even looks like Decay.

Tek Knight is supposed to be the "Iron Man" in the Boys . . . he is a detective, but he wasn't portrayed anything like himself in this series.
