I've explored many trails over the years, but these are my current to 5! #shorts Visit our website: trailrecon.com Join E3 Overland: pages.e3overland.com/join-c
I went to Anza based on your video a few years ago... saw the canyon and had a blast. Then I tried to follow the trail north to hwy 78 and got 85% of the way until a fence stopped me. Then the GPS started acting funny on the way back around Diablo Drop off and I ended up using the Garmin Inreach to communicate with a friend who sent a member of a SOCAL rescue group to show me the way out. I would suggest downloading a map and actually knowing how to use it before trying one of these "easy" trails lol
Elephant Hill is so incredible. It sure was a bit inconvenient to run it, with the permit/entry fee/long drive from Moab, however it was so worth it. Every time we go to Moab it will be a must do for us from now on!
Hi Brad, I'd like to see videos, a list, or general info about good trails for wider/ full size vehicles like your PW. I just bought a Ford Raptor and now the trails I run will dictate whether I can drive my Raptor or 4Runner. I am ok with pinstripes, but not dents😁 Love the channel!
We share 3 of them....Rubicon, Slick Rock, and Defense Mine. I've never run the other two, but you have such great taste in trails, I would probably love them too. I live fairly close to Rubicon and Slick Rock, so we are out on them several times each summer.
nice top 5 , never been to sand stone canyon .is it north borrego springs ? mine are gas dome trails&washes, pole line road , san Felipe creek , tule spring easy tracks just waiting for the temps to drop im down on split mtn rd for the season
Cali, Cali, Cali, Utah, Cali. At least I’m close to one of them. Elephant hill is about 5.5 hours away, but I’ll take your advice and add it to the bucket list. Love your content, and my 4 year old loves it too. Really just love the Jeep’s, more than my truck.
I just want to get my Mojave Gladiator to where it’s capable of handling the Rubicon without needing TOO much help. Far cry from where I need to be at the moment, I suspect. Thanks for the list of spots Brad 👍🏼
@@TrailRecon yes sir, I don’t reckon I’ll find it’s limitations in my home state of Florida outside of a mud hole it doesn’t belong in, but the country is large and this is my first Jeep and I bought it with the express intent of exploring said country and your channel has been instrumental in helping me decide and just giving me motivation/inspiration.
None besides outwest? None look like a Solo adventure either. Some of us just need to get started. I haven't even figured out the 4x4 yet. We don't all come with groups. I'm thinking I will just stay here in Texas!!!
We're based in San Diego, so I've spent a lot of time on trails out west and am pretty familiar with them. One of the best ways to get started is to find a local off-road club so that you can learn from more experienced off-roaders. I did a lot of trails with the San Diego Jeep Club after I bought my first Jeep. Safe travels!
To bad most of the trails are in the land of fruits and nuts…..besides, Cali don’t want me in their state ! I’m BANNED !! My only regret is the RUBICON TRAIL !
These are your top 5 hard/technical trails. Now how about your top 5 (or 10) scenic, fun, easy trails? And then how about your top 5 (or 10) medium trails? As gearlist mentioned, these shorts are interesting.
You should do more shorts like these Brad! 😎
Brainstorming! What else would you like to see?
@@TrailRecon top 5 obstacles you’ve encountered, top 5 campsites, top 5 camp meals, etc.

Great content. I guess I’m coming around and enjoying the short videos. Great content is great content no matter the time of the video. Thank you!!
Thanks! I think the sorts can be fun sprinkled in here and there.
So does this mean you'll revisit these more often or seek out new adventures?
All of the above!
Great list. I personally love Sandstone Canyon because it feels otherworldly.
TOTALLY AWESOME VIDEO!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!! YOU MADE MY NIGHT!!!
Woo, love seeing a local trail be your #1! :)
Same here bro! Surprised to hear slick Rock at the end

Canyonlands alone is epic

it's a bit of hassle to get in, but worth it.
Awesome!
My goal is to one day do Rubicon in my Cummins!
Your #2 is my #1
Drummond Island in Michigan. Look it up. Come out here. I'll show you around.

We have a 2005 Yukon & would also love to see Full-size Favorites!
Great video thank you!
Glad you liked it!

Killer list, these shorts are cool too! Would you mind letting us know what your top 5 is in SoCal?

When you live in Texas and can’t get to all these trails easily… lol damnit!
Just did slick rock this summer and it definitely was a good one 😎
Could you take the RAM PW through trails #4-#1 noticed you show the PW only on trail #5. Thanks for sharing.
Good evening. 😊
Hello 😊
Schofield Pass🤘🏻
I guessed right on #2 and #1. Both amazing trails! I’ve done #5, 2 and 1.
Time to knock out 3 & 4!
@@TrailRecon #3 scares me haha. One of these years I’ll cross it off the list, if it hasn’t burned down by then.
My families been going to sandstone/fish Creek since 1850s
Wow surprised to hear slickrock is #1 my jeep club is going there this month.
Your club will have a ton of fun on that trail!
Have you been at the lost coast up in Humboldt county??
I just want to get my Mojave Gladiator to where it’s capable of handling the Rubicon without needing TOO much help. Far cry from where I need to be at the moment, I suspect.
Thanks for the list of spots Brad 👍🏼
We all have to start somewhere. That Mojave is pretty capable right out of the box!

Did you find slick rock harder than the rubicon? I’ve done slick rock but not the rubicon yet.
I live up in Placerville California the Rubicon is about half an hour away from my house
😎👍
👍👍
It’s a shame you never got to explore Nightmare Gulch. It combines some of these factors all into one trail
have you done the Barrett lake jeep trail?
Not yet... I have a very long bucket list.
Add Black Bear into Telluride CO
I live in Stanislaus county

Have you ever been to Colorado or Arizona
But I don’t live in Caliewood Hollyfornya? 🤷🥴🤔
I thought for sure Ozarks would've made the list. Lol.
Hopefully the next time I'm there it won't be -6 degrees.
To bad most of the trails are in the land of fruits and nuts…..besides, Cali don’t want me in their state ! I’m BANNED !! My only regret is the RUBICON TRAIL !
Try Fordyce
Bucket list!
Talk about a "quickie." lol Maybe next time you could spend a minute on each trail segment so you can show more beautiful scenery.
Ya, these shorts limit me to 60 seconds... I had to get creative to cram 5 in that period of time. Perhaps a longer format video in the future.
No Arizona trails on the list?

You need to go east my friend
Come out to Oregon man, we have tons of good wheeling trails. Actually never mind we have enough Californians here. Stay where you are hahaha. Jk.
I'm originally from Portland. 😂
@@TrailRecon come back home.
What no Imogene Pass? That’s my favorite!
Love Imogene... a top 10 for me for sure.
500
Why are these all in California
California much?
Why didn't you just call it your favorite California trails
Schnebly Hill was a good one but now it's all jagged rock from being torn up by all the daily tourist traffic
Schnebly is and easy trail, but rough and now full of tour Jeeps
@@TrailRecon agreed it's easy but ohhhhh man the views are beautiful
No hells Revenge?
Too crowded these days, I like to get a little more remote.
If only I could stand California😂🤦♂️
