Thanks!
Beautiful Chris!! Got those Glad vibes immediately. He is risen indeed!!
Thanks for listening!
Great rendition!
Thanks much!
Thank you . Just what I needed to hear!
Glad you liked it!
This is so beautiful, Chris.
Thanks!
Wonderful
Glad you think so!
This hymn never sounded this good when we sang it in church choir
Thanks :)
I grew up in the Episcopal Church. This was an all time favorite Easter hymn. Our organist, dear Gertrude Lyons, was a master organist. I can still hear her joyously playing Christ The Lord Hath Risen Today. I know she is leading a heavenly choir in Paradise.
Thank you for raising your voice Chris.
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful as usual, Chris!
Thank you!
HALLELUJAH AND AMEN!!
Well Done as always!!!
Thank you!
Love how you mixed the Latin into the traditional methodist hymn ... it's truly a Classic Easter Hymn regardless of denomination...you have a great voice 🙏
Thanks much, appreciate that!
...Oh! Best rendition I EVER heard!
Instablaster
Thanks Chris
Oh, wow, wow, wow, and wow!!! Thank you very much, Chris!!!

Never heard this hymn sung in this manner
one word to say to these wonderful talented singers
BRAVO
haha, it's all me :-) thanks for watching!
This just popped up in my recommendations.... Feb 19th, 2021 ! Wow... just WOW !! I grew up singing this song in church . This is amazing Chris !!! Thank you for sharing your gift with us!! God bless you and keep you !!
Thanks, this is one of my favorites for sure!
Very nice indeed! A macaronic masterpiece that draws on the richness of the Western choral tradition. And you kept a brisk tempo throughout the song, never letting it lag.
Really beautiful -- one of my favorite Easter songs.
Woah that bass.
One of my favorite Easter songs.. I've been singing that song all my life, know every word.. I love how you took an old classic song and made it so lively and interesting.. For you to sing all of the different parts is phenomenal.. I don't know how you do it and then to get them all to go together.. Loved it!!!
It's certainly beautiful.. I've been following you since the Sing Off.. Love the music you've been making..
So beautiful!
Love this. I think I just found my new favourite ❤️
This is beautiful. Very upbeat. Very contemporary. And very good worship. God bless you.
DECADES ago, I used to sing in a young adult choir in church that did upbeat stuff. THIS arrangement would have been AWESOME. Why were you born so late?...gonna have to take that up with some"one". ;-)
@@ChrisRuppOfficial Didn't realize that, I'll go take a look. It is very nice, in any case. Found it here, in case anyone else wants to listen, similar, but a bit different in places:

Lyrics
Christ the Lord is ris’n today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heav’ns, and earth, reply, Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!
Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia!
Foll’wing our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!
Hail the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail the Resurrection, thou, Alleluia!
King of glory, Soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, Thy pow’r to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing, and thus to love, Alleluia!
Praise the Lord and bless you hon for this. You have angels on your shoulders.
Thank you
Amen!
Chris Rupp amen

Excellent job! Not that I'm surprised or anything 😉 Can't wait for the new CD
LOVE THIS, Chris! Reminds me of the arrangement Glad once did of this song. You have just continued to amaze and surprise us all, no end in sight, YAY!
Those chords at 2:00 ! 😍
And it just gets better! 😃
Love it! Can't believe I came across it late! Keep this up, man, it's great stuff!
OK, you beat me to that one, too. The hymn, fully modified from the start. Your voice SO FITS THIS ARRANGEMENT! Gettin' down there pretty good at times...and the multiple change-ups musically, point, counter point..... counter counter counter .... killer, not enough superlatives around to keep on. Innovative, creative, oh so fine to listen to.....WOW. I've listened to this now like maybe ten times in a row....I think you've given about 6 songs in one here, essentially. Many composer/arrangers out there, I feel like I need to say, easy there, dude, don't go overboard. You, NOT! Keep it comin'. You NEVER jump the shark (go over the top).
I heard this arrangement first from the group GLAD.
Великолепно, рука сама пишет
I love this arrangement so much! It reminds me of the Glad arrangement from several years back. Is this the same Glad arrangement or is this an original Chris Rupp arrangement?
Same arrangement
Just watched this again after a while...really love it in so many ways
Chris, Is the singing slightly out of the side of your mouth on the Pa-pa-pas a technique, or just something that happens? Is it something you were taught, if it is a technique?
Great. Personally, I think the melody needs to be louder then the background accompaniment.
If you ever want to collaborate on a GLAD song, let me know. I've recorded several of them over the years....
Beautiful - but the vocals do not match the mouth.
Which mouth? Sometimes you are not seeing the melody-singing-Chris first and foremost. I just went back and watched carefully, and there are only two places I can see, where the melody is just a tad louder, but you are seeing a harmonizing Chris in the foreground. If you look carefully to either the right or left, you will see the mouth that is matching the melody you are hearing. I can put numbers to those places if you like. If you are seeing it not match up all across the board, you are probably having some sort of a lag in your video feed.
Great vocal performance. Unfortunate focus on mythology.
parkjammer sad...
It is sad that otherwise capable people living in a modern age still place value in any of the thousands of mythologies that litter our collective past, including the Abrahamic myths. Great musical skills... mythological focus.
