OK CHRIS.....FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! I'm so sick of this hymn, as a hymn, but this is absolutely gorgeous, again, one of your best! I love the minor key/antiphonal treatment. On the level of your Take 5 (almost). If you haven't seen the BYU Vocal Point version of "Nearer My God", it is like this, makes SPECTACULAR beautiful music out of something you've (universal you) heard a million times, and would probably not like to hear again, in ORIGINAL form. Nice job!!! You are quickly moving to the very top of my favorite current arrangers out there. And no, I don't say this to everyone, by ANY means. I am sincere here. Another I will watch/hear over and over again :-) Keep this kind of stuff up, and your name could go down with the greats. IMHO, this is REALLY GOOD MUSIC....that second verse....chilling. I sent a link to this to the BYU video, and suggested they do it, if that's good with you. This arrangement DEFINITELY should get out there in wider world to be performed. Golden. My wife said after the first verse she was about to say, turn if off. A little way into the second verse I said WOW, now that's music. She agreed.

I absolutely love your voice! And the harmony is only the best! I would love to see you do an all gospel CD. when you sing, you sing with your heart and soul. I started singing Solos in church when I was just 8 years old. I am from "old school" and don't know a lot about technology, but I listen to your songs every night and it brings me peace. Seriously 1:46 to two forty three, It wouldn't surprise me in the least if I found out Jesus himself listens to that, and I'm pretty sure Bach would find it awesome. MAN, OH MAN! I ALMOST DID IT AGAIN, BUT I LOOKED FIRST...I just wrote "Have you ever thought of taking some Mozart or Beethoven and playing around with it, ;maybe just as an instrumental piece?". WAIT FOR IT....Then I said, better look it up first, Beethoven and Chris Rupp showed up two pieces right off the top, although the Moonlight seemed pretty stock. OK, DUDE, how about some Charles Ives or the like. Let's see what you are really made of. Pick something that is REALLY a stretch, I'd like to see what you would do with it. Seriously, I really would. And REALLY "pull all the stops" a la Jacob Collier, or the like, Your talent is large, padawan, FEEL the force. ;-)
