Used to listen to this song in 90s when I was a new young believer. Now it even hits home more after 30 years. Be glad for the debt Jesus has paid on my behalf.

Calming, relaxing scenery. So glad there is a God in heaven.
My dad was a member of Glad. Back in the mid 90's-early 2000's... this was always one of my favorites even as a kid. Always happy to see their music continue to have an impact. I remember Be Ye Glad being one of my favorites and In The First Light being the other... they also had an a cappella arrangement of And Can It Be that was incredible... lots of good memories. Thanks man!

I heard Glad sing this as the closing song for their concert, 30 years ago in Lancaster, PA. There was not a dry eye in the spell-bound auditorium! You have done a worthy arrangement! May God bless you and your ministry!

This has long been a favorite of mine, and it's the first time I've heard someone do a solo multitrack recording.

Your music videos from Rise comforted my mother and me and her family and caretakers in her final months this summer. Even after she could no longer talk, she connected with the sound and the sights in the videos.

Love the music. You're a force to be reckoned with a-Cappella wise, even without your masterpiece that is Home Free. Hymns are especially great when I see songs that maybe aren't sung as much in my church as they used to be. Very uplifting, and a great message for a song about God's grace. Keep it up!

Chris - I found this song by accident. I guess you tube had it in the line up & I didn't notice it. Have been listening a lot to your song Movin On with Home Free. I love the version where the group backs you up. I'll be Movin On in a year or so. Your song made me cry at first, but now I feel more comfort from it. And then I found Be Ye Glad. Talk about comfort!!! It is a wonderful song & your version gives me lots of comfort, along with some tears. Think I'll have it played at my memorial service and hope that my family gets comfort from it too. You did an absolutely fabulous job on this song!!! THANK YOU.

At the time Glad had produced this song, my sister (a Christian) and best friend took her life. Listening to this song saved my broken soul. I played it again and again. I actually like your version slightly better
because the lead vocal (are they all you?) stands out a little more and makes the lyrics a little more
distinctive. This may be played at my mother-in-laws funeral, who died in ass'td living shortly after
COVID closed the doors.If this doesn't give a picture of heaven, I don't know what would... well done

Just came across this and Thank you so much for this! This has been one of my favorite songs since Glad first released it in 1988. I have always wanted to sing it because the harmonies are so melodic and so tight. Unfortunately, back in my day multiple tracks by one person was not something I could afford. Bless God for technology! Your rendition is second to Glads original and probably even better. The fact that you preformed all the parts, says a lot for the truly exceptional artist that you are. You need to hear the original lyrics and see how Glad got them quite wrong in a couple of places. "Giving hope IN a storm sea of night" and "Be a refuge amidst the slaughter FOR these fugitives in their flight." Ask Michael Kelly Blanchard. He wrote it.

You're quite welcome - it's hard not to sing along with you on these songs - brought back so many memories of that group called Glad - we saw them in concert at our church back in the day (I'm dating myself now LOL), but they were fantastic and my dad just had to buy one of their albums. I wish he still had it. I think it would be fun to go back and listen to that album again. Thanks for bringing back some fun memories :) Did you ever hear of a group called Bondservant? I believe they sang WITH Glad at that concert but I can't recall if they were a capella or not. Either way - they were also very good, had some really cool songs. I'll have to see if those albums still exist :)
