There are so many great Prince songs so I’ll stick to some of my favorite live performances. America, The Question if U, Nothing Compares 2 U (from Glam Slam), Motherless Child, Play That Funky Music/Hollywood Swinging/Fantastic Voyage, Shh, and anything from the 2009 shows at the Montreux Jazz Fest (my favorites from those shows are Little Red Corvette, Empty Room/Elixer, and All the Critics Love You). And, I know you said we didn’t need to request Purple Rain, but there are so many amazing live performances of that song and it’s different every time. I’d recommend the performance he did at the 1985 American Music Awards. Thanks for sharing the greatness of Prince with all who watch your reactions!

Great selections and I second all of your nominations. I personally would recommend the 1985 Syracuse version of "Purple Rain" over the AMA awards version. I think the Syracuse one is just absolutely gorgeous, transcendent and almost otherworldly, in comparison to the studio version and the AMA performance. But that's just my preference. I think his guitar work is more extensive in the Syracuse version too, though.
That had a lot of energy vibe in it. Love Prince's sense of humor putting the Clintons in the audience and of course the cameo of Elvis.

You should definitely start out with some of his earlier work. For you guys I'd start with Little Red Corvette or 1999. This was from his 1982 album 1999. Prince is amazing 💜 His talent is endless. Watching from St Louis

I've heard this song maybe a handful of times in my life, but this honestly might be the first time I've actually seen the video. Very cool! thanks for reacting to one of Prince's "Deep Cuts". I had forgotten how dynamic and jazzy this song is, especially toward the end when he breaks it down. Good to revisit this track after so long.
