John Blackwell is the drummer please give him his credit and may he rest in peace. So sad.....he joked before he passed because he'd been sick that Prince probably wanted a drummer in heaven, but said he wasn't ready yet. Let's home they're keeping it funky in heaven.
Prince is our Mozart, he mastered over 20 instruments by age 17, he could dance, sing any note, rap, he wrote, arranged, performed ALL his music, including wrote hits for other artists, he has covered almost every genre, Metal, Punk rock, hip hop, pop, r&b, soul, jazz, blues, country, ambience, classical, instrumental. The Multi-Genre God. He could play anything, and your favorite artists have been deeply influenced by him. Corey Taylor, Whitney Houston, Steve Vai, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Lil uzi vert, H.E.R. , Paul Mccartney, all worship Prince to just name a few. Prince recorded his first 2 albums at 16 all by himself, all instruments, lyrics, arrangement, composition & vocals were all by him. He was such a prodigy, that music executives wanted proof, they would fly across country just to see if he could really play all instruments, because it was so unheard of. Prince has over 50 official released albums and when he passed, they found over 10 thousand unreleased Prince music in his vault. He then came into the business and was the FIRST to fight for artists rights, and he WON. He would write "slave" on his cheek and go to meetings protesting against the industry. Prince was also the first artist to sell his music on the internet. You are talking about the most talented artist we will ever see.
A true talent and a true loss to our music and culture.
What's funny is that Prince didn't like being compared to Mozart He said "I like Gustav Mahler ever heard of him?"
He mentioned him in a song I think called Good Love
One of a kind...😢
Prince was always concerned about his audience having a good time at his shows. He would say that they paid their money to come see him and he wanted to make sure they left feeling they had an experience they never forgot. He always gave 110%.

Prince is a one man army 💜 He checks every box
A huge loss to music and culture.
Damn I miss this man so much… had the chance to see him live 15 times, and every single show was outstanding and standing out from the rest… when he died my biggest fear was that I would find every concert I would go to to be quite lame… and unfortunately it’s mostly the case… being exposed to greatness from an early age is a blessing, but also a curse when greatness goes away!
We can only imagine. What a great thing though to see him 15 times.
Another point I'd like to make on this particular tour there, he only charged $25 bucks for tickets!!
He was a true performer and loved his audiences, it showed!
I saw him 17 times … MINDBLOWING EVERYTIME
A True Prince! We loved it!
Biggest regret of my life is never seeing Prince live in concert
me too
I saw him 5 times…best was a show at Metro in Chicago from 1am - 4am after he had already played his main gig at the Chicago theater. 20 bucks cash at the door and we only waited in line for an hour. One of the best nights of my life. Played covers, hits and brought up Buddy Miles to do Them Changes. Legend.
The Master Musician....Genius
So true!
I go back and forth between Prince and Stevie Wonder as my favorite artist all time.
Prince was just so good at so many instruments. He played, wrote, produced, sang...so much talent in one body!
James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Sam Cooke and George Clinton rolled into one. Saw Prince several times live from Parade to 21 nights at the 02. Best ever performer live by a country mile.
Hi Hayes welcome to the channel :) I hope we've earned your channel sub!
** by a FUNKY mile I hope you mean... keep it real! 👍
That's not Rhonda, that's Ida Neilson on Bass! Edit: I see that you were already corrected about that! Now you won't forget!! lol!
A Prince concert was always the best party you’ve ever been to. He was phenomenal. He brought every room, no matter how large, to life. I’m grateful I got to experience it several times. Especially the week I spent at Paisley Park.
That lead guitar playing work is unbelievable, the tone, doesn't miss on a note and the consistency in the MUSICAL phrasing… he just cooks nonstop. He's better than Clapton. Not a Clapton fan, he's just way more interesting than anything I ever hear Clapton do. He's as good as anybody but he chooses to be an entertainer first, and that's impressive.
They asked Eric Clapton once…who is the best guitar player….he said ‘Ask Prince’
I was wondering if any of you could wear forearm sleeves with your first name on it and wear boots with the fur? And look cool?😎
This was just another day at the office for the purple Yoda.
I've only seen him 4x and I've heard some people were fortunate enough to see him in over 100 concerts. But the one who was at every concert was Prince, since 1979 he has performed live concerts approx. 1,500 in a span of 37yrs which is 40 a year or so.
That's not counting any one-offs, guest appearances, after party shows, tv shows and award shows. That is so impressive to me.
He always surrounded himself with very good bands and they worked their butts off. Prince had a work ethic second to none and pushed his bands to have rehearsals long hours at a time. John Blackwell Jr. is probably my favorite drummer in all his bands, he had just a mean sound that only comes with practice. Ida Nielsen on bass, Renato Neto on keys, with Cassandra O'Neal on keys, Shelby, Elisa, and Liv his backup vocals and the Twinz his dancers. Great tour that had lots of energy and a fun atmosphere. Good choice fellows
No one is as cool as PRINCE.
I love the part where he adjusts the wrist warmers in time with the beat.
That guy can really play some guitar.
that was DOPE, guys! 👍🏾🙂👍🏾
I saw Prince live 5 times, starting when the Time used to kick his ass. I took my daughter to see Prince for birthday present. She said Daddy I really don't like Prince. We had 1st row seats, and afterwards, Daddy, I didn't know Prince was so bad. She was a fan ever since. She called me and told me he died ...I was devastated we the a generational talent
Prince plays expertly. Ask anyone who played with him.
Musical Genius and Prodigy for sure.
Too Great !
now..guys.. watch him play 'My Guitar Gently Weeps' at the Rock & Roll induction for George Harrison.. all stars line up having Prince playing solo.. glorious
So glad y'all reacted 2 this always amazing concert. I read that this was #5 encode. Ida Neilson on bass. Not Rhonda Smith. Ida was also in Third 👁 Girl. Great R&R. 2012-2015.Next PRINCE went solo, just a piano & a Mic
. Both Rhonda and Ida played in the NPG. Dude with the hat, talked too much, over the performance. No one else did that, like pause or preferably just wait until the end. Perhaps then he might of seen/heard the difference btw Ronda and Ida. Both really great but different styles. JS. BTW Michael Bland and John Blackwell, both Amazing !!! 💯🎶

Was blessed to watch him and the Revolution, Sheila E, etc. in the now-defunct Cow Palace in South City during the Purple Rain tour back in the Day. As college kids, we haggled some scalped tickets and got to be part of a once in a lifetime experience.
That was Ida on bass... later part of 3rdEyeGirl

Forgot about the very end when they broke with Lakeside fantastic voyage…🔥 glad I saw hime once in SD when I had the chance. Great reaction✌🏼
You need to react to something from his Lovesexy tour. That was him at his peak.
Thank you Agadoin, we shall.
Absolutely brilliant. BTW that's not Rhonda Smith, that's Ida Nielsen (from Third Eye Girl) wish he was still here 💜💜💜💜💜💜
I'm been a fan since 1980 even in after life is the GOAT
That’s not Rhonda it’s Ida Neilsen.
But Prince said Rhonda in the Video right? Or do I have ear problems?
He didn’t say Rhonda. He said Ida and he had also called out Renato. Maybe you thought he said Rhonda when he said Renato before the keyboard solo.
And last I heard Rhonda was touring with Beck...
@@tracynorman1455 oh! My ears are bad, that's the problem.
@@rhondaturner9494 wait. Isn't you Rhonda? Lol.
Great reaction fellas !!!
Thanks 💯
Prince never did it for the money. He genuinely loved playing music. Most of his money went to charities (anonymously).
I chasned him around all over Europe, I got the main takkets and the hard part was getting to the after shows which started around 1 or 2 am. After 2 or 3 hour concerts the best was his after shows or he his 3+ hours of soundchecs I got to part of. So you got almost 24 hours of Prince.
The Revolution and NPG should be on RRHF.... Prince went there... all of them worked their asses to this call music for 40 years.
It's not Rhonda on bass ... it's Ida Nielsen

Funkmeister .. all good.
A hit or miss.....?? Are you kidding? You can't HIT any better than Prince.
@TheOfficialCartierFamily After watching your reaction of Prince super bowl I thought this might help with your ignorance of guitar playing and Prince.
I had the very thought for @TheOfficialCartierFamily.
I love that Prince's main Tele is a beautiful vintage Japanese copy that Fender Custom Shop (who can also be good) can't surpass in quality. Because the man could really have had anything. And Japan are really the GOAT for over 40 years, they got skills.
thats not Rhonda on bass
That's EDA not Rhonda
Thats eda not rhonda😅
Can you guys shut up and react after. You were talking the whole time while he was tearing up the bass. Btw, I went to 6 Prince shows. You guys are behind the curve of not appreciating him when he was still here and going to his show.
Everyone has an opinion, thank you for sharing yours!
@@galaxyjams Forget this hater, if he wanted to hear the song uncut he could always go & watch the Original video! Keep being you guys!
Ya'll talk too much.
