Taste Challenge: Miller High Life vs. Miller Genuine Draft

- Both rated at 4.6% alcohol. High Life introduced in 1855. Genuine Draft introduced in 1985. SABMiller brands.
"Miller High Life, the "champagne of beers," dates to 1903. A classic American style lager, Miller High Life is known for its consistently crisp, smooth taste and iconic clear-glass bottle. Miller High Life embraces its rich heritage and is known by its drinkers as an authentic, unpretentious beer. It's common sense in a bottle. Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Corn Syrup (Maltose), Yeast, Hop Extract."
"Miller Genuine Draft delivers a fresh from the tap taste through its proprietary "cold-filtered four times" brewing process. Introduced nationally in 1986, Miller Genuine Draft was born as the original cold-filtered packaged draft beer. Today, Miller Genuine Draft is reinforcing its status as the best draft beer in a bottle. Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Corn Syrup (Maltose), Yeast, Hops and Hop Extract."

Been drinkin' Miller Genuine Draft for over 34 years... Love the taste
It's a good beer, Theskybluelake. I am just sorry that it seems to be dying out. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
Yes sir it's good stuff
Never liked it!
Always been my favorite too! It’s readily available in TN. 🙏🏼
Give high life some points though for hoppy note, drinkability and a cooler label and bottle style.
The discussions of vintage American brews never get old. Thanks!
cs1992 You're welcome. People make fun of me, sometimes, and will ask if I ever get tired of looking at American vintage brews, but I would say, "No, I really do not get tired of it."
I love seeing the vintage labels and products. thanks for sharing
I love collecting them, mercurialmagictrees! You're welcome, and thanks, to you, for watching!
Cool video. Two of my favorites when it comes to American beer.
I'd say I prefer MGD slightly more, but High Life is good too. Two great beers from Milwaukee!
San94Andreas I have to agree. Thanks so much for watching, San94Andreas. I appreciate it!
I guess I am kind of randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to stream new series online ?
@Kayden Franklin i use flixzone. You can find it on google :)
@Darwin Skylar Yea, I have been using Flixzone for years myself =)
@Darwin Skylar thank you, signed up and it seems to work =) Appreciate it!
This video had mentioned 3 of my favorite things. 1. Miller High Life. 2. Spicy crawfish. 3. Milwaukee Brewers and Miller field!! Good review as well!
Thanks for watching! I am glad you enjoyed this, and I appreciate you watching, Austin Benjamin!
I swear Jay no matter what beer it is, or how you're reviewing it, you make a beer seem damn delicious and fair and refreshing. You make a regular man crave a cold one outta the fridge after dealing with the bullshit of the day and give us good company while doing it. 🍻
I'm glad you like my reviews, MM. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
I always love when I forget what i'm drinking at 9am! it means I'm starting the day out right!
+Burly Boy Beer Reviews Oh, Boy. Watch out, with that!
Good video Ron! I like both on their own, have yet to try them side by side. I appreciate how you touch on the history of these standard beers, which I've started circling back to after a few years of craft beer snobbery. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy a good IPA or imperial stout, but there's just something so comforting about these yellow fizzies. Cheers!
EJE22822 Right, EJE, and I'm glad I never got into either camp (craft or macro).
Over the years I have drank many different beers. First time having a Miller Genuine Draft was at a Hooters bar with some friends. Never had High Life though. After trying Genuine Draft, I loved how fresh it was. It was just different from other bottled beers I’ve had. Hard to beat a fresh keg ice cold beer on tap but, in my opinion, MGD seems to bring me that experience in a bottle! Great taste and you can’t have just a couple haha. Great video! 👍🏼
Thanks, and I love MGD. I wish it was still sold in my parish. Thanks for watching, K.O. Storm. I appreciate it!
Ronald Theriot Absolutely! 🍻
Good one Jay! Now I can save a few bucks and just buy the High Life.
Stuart Fitzsimons That's the exact plan, Stuart.
My late Mother's favorite beer was Miller Genuine Draft. The first beer I drank I ever drank in 1978 ()not counting sips from my Dad's bottle) was Miller High Life.
Jeffrey Lyons Ah, yes. I remember you telling me that, Jeff. I also remember you telling me that, about Miller High Life.
i just wish MGD was in 12 packs or 24 packs in the Mobile area.
MGD is mostly sold in 18 pack cans in my area. Some stores have 6 pack cans. I haven't seen it in bottles in ages.
And, down here, it's mostly bottles!
I always wondered why Budweiser would give me a headache and other beers didnt. thanks so much for the info!
Jason Mata You're welcome, Jason Mata, and thank you so much for watching!
4.7 for the MGD up here in Canada, maybe they changed it since you did the vid though? Cheers.
Well, they do slightly alter it, from time to time, I think. Not much, though. Cheers, back to you!
Another great review Ronald. Both are classic beers for the working man and good beer at a great price, refreshing and well-balanced. Both are classics, but the Genuine Draft was slightly better to my taste. And certified kosher! L'chaim! Thanks Ronald.
You're welcome, John, and thanks, to you!
High life out of a bottle is great. Not much of a mgd fan but only drank it out of cans. In comparison I don't drink miller lite from cans but prefer it on tap. I'm an original coors yellow belly fan too of course. Wish I could taste test brews at 9am lol. Thanks bud for the great reviews and always commenting back.
You're welcome, and thank you, for the good comments and for your support, Sean!
Miller high life is my go to beer. Good value, refreshing, nice light lager taste. 12Pack at Walmart is usually $8.99 Liquors stores 9.99 to 12.99
It's one of my "standby" beers, for sure.
I'm drinking a MGD here in UK- on the bottle label it says 'premium pasteurised beer' on the side and 'cold filtered beer' on the front. It cant be both can it?
No, it can not. If it's pasteurized, it is NOT a genuine draft beer. That is bizarre. Thanks for watching, Ricky Durrance. I appreciate it!
Your house brand observation is correct, it also applies to most in the Sierra Nevada family of beers to me
Ah, yes, it's definitely true for them.
Hey Ron I know in a previous post I'd noted I try to stick with Miller Lite but I picked up 24 High Life while in Michigan last week and it's excellent IMO. It was 6.99 per 12 bottles. Unfortunately , High Life hasn't been available in Canada for a number of years though I'm hopeful they bring it back given the recent "re-launch" of Lite up here.
I sure do wish you could get High Life in Canada, Terrance. It is ubiquitous, here, in the empire, I mean, the states.
Took this taste challenge this weekend. MGD was very close to HL. Really enjoy your videos. MGD is disappearing here in Southern California.
I am glad you enjoy my videos. Yeah, M.G.D. is literally gone from my parish. Thanks for watching, Mike Vargas. I appreciate it!
Which one u like better: High Life or MGD?
Hey Ronald, subbed to your channel just today and wanted to say that I'm from MN and do see Golden Draft quite a bit but was surprised when you said the light version was the most popular beer in Minneapolis (thought it would be maybe Bud Light). Also wanted to ask what brought you to the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes?
Well, it was very popular, eight years ago, when I was in Minneapolis. Of course, things can change. I went there, to see the Twins (2 times at the Metrodome and 1 time at Target Field). Thanks for watching, Cobra! I appreciate your support!
Another fellow Minnesotan!
two of my first beers!. No wonder Theyre my favorite "cheap" american domestics. I will love miller for life. My peers growing up always drank coors light and hated bud, i was raised on bud since my old mans latino theres a large following of bud behind the latino camp. To me though Miller has my heart, one of my uncles drank mgd, and another was fond of highlife. MGD and high life are my favorite domestic big name brews, samuel adams is my favorite domestic mass producer. 10.99 for 20 glass bottles on sale a good buy any day of the week. I still get 2x32 oz highlife's if i know im out of beer, and i got 5$ on me; bc 711 sells 2x for 4$ where i live, a good time spent gamin or watching some sports. ON draft, when "domestic" is on the cheap its one of the best you can get, i will always swear by highlife and MGD on draft, compared to banquet/coorslight, weiser/budlight or any at that price point. Which is why I will always honor Samuel Adams if your local joint honors it as a domestic for happy hour etc thats a shout out to Lefty O'douls and BWW(which also has miller on tap).
Very interesting comments. Also, what do you think about Milwaukee's Best beers?
MGD has been my beer for a long time. Miller Lite is my flavor when working around the house. Samuel Adams is my favorite when I’m chilling watching sports. Great taste on brew my friend. Cheers! 🤙🏽🍺
Love your videos man! Just wondering is there a reason you pour your beers into classes straight down and not riding the side? Keep up the good work!
Thanks, so much, Josh Brown. I appreciate you watching! Yes, some brewing companies, like Anheuser-Busch recommend a straight-in, aggressive pour, and Tap Into Your Beer has a section, explaining it.
Hi Jay, As mentioned, I really like all the Miller brands- Hamms, MGD, High Life and MilBest. I drink Hamms when I just want to have a beer after work, whereas I offer the MGD when guests come over. The power of marketing!
Excactly, Terrence- the power of marketing.
Miller high life is one of my favorite beers, but I'm so use to King Cobra that it feels like very light beer at 4.6% abv. It was a great price $9 for a 12 pack glass 12oz bottles up in Massachusetts.
+Matt Jones That's a pretty good price, but it is about $7.49 for a 12-er, down here, MJ.
Matt Jones MA has the tax but some of the beer prices I found were still ok. and u can pick cans and make up the difference where NH doesnt have the 5 cent deposit. and people litter a LOT of them too and at games people consume a lot so if u pick the trash.. u can get a lot. It might be a blue state, but if u drink beer.. u can live in Mass. see I picked the cans in dumpsters so i made it up and put it toward the beer I bought.
Damn you're used to King Cobra? Lmao never heard that one before !
Hi Jay, It would be great if you would consider doing another of these in the near term. Specifically an Economy v premium from the same brewer. Eg, MGD v Hamms. Thanks for these videos!
Oh, yes. That's a good idea. I might look into it, Terrence.
Nice taste challenge, along with the mini stories.
Bucky75 Thanks, Bucky!
Hamm's has a noticably shitty taste to me.
Hi Jay would you consider doing a Miller Brand "Super Comparison" with Hamms, MilBest, HighLife and MGD? Thanks!
Well, I might, Terrance, but it's difficult to fit it in.
I've always stuck to High Life if given the choice. It's funny you mention the "house" flavor, I get the same thing from a lot of Lagunitas' beers. Hard to explain, but I can just tell when I'm drinking something from them.
OMEGACritical Ah, yes. And, what about Stone beers? They all taste very similar to each other, I find. Thanks for watching, OMEGACritical. I appreciate it!
I live in Long Island, NY and hard to find High Life on draft at the bar. But I prefer the 30 rack of high life cans. Great beer when bbqing or watching the ball game. Anyway I enjoy your videos. Thanks!
I agree. You're welcome, and thanks for watching, Kenneth Miro. I appreciate it!
It would be interesting to see if even a Miller Brew Master could consistently tell the difference in taste tests between these two. I think they're both great beers but typically choose High Life for the discount. Where I buy beer in the States, it's $10.79 for 15 MGD bottles and $9.99 for 18 High Life bottles.- seems like sound "Beer Math" to me!
Yeah- beer math! Ha-ha!
MGD has the edge as its consistent. MHL some tastes like MGD but some tastes worse too. It depends on the batch but MGD tends to be consistent. Is MHL bad though? no. I just like MGD more as its consistent. but I get MHL if I dont want to spend as much.
Hi Jay, Just back from a short trip through michigan and picked up 24 bots high life for 17 bucks including taxes/deposit. I'm doing a high life vs MGD taste test right now as I watch your video again. I cannot taste the difference between them but think they both taste great. I was hoping you could do this comparison again but this time add Milwaukee's Best. That way you'd have the super discount, discount and regular priced brands from the same brewer. Thanks
I just might do that, TLaB. Thanks for the suggestion! You're welcome!
Ronald, you know your beers man! Meister Brau! Yes!!! Chicago beer, that Miller acquired which the recipe for Miller Lite is basically Meister Brau pretty much. I am a Chicago Native living in IL, I respect Miller. I just wish Chicago didn't sell off, including Goose Island! Just need to take off that Cardinals gear LOL! Cubs fan here
Well, I've worn Cubs' gear, many times! Thanks, Larseus, and I suppose my "go to" beers would be things like Natural Ice, because it's nice to drink and cheap.
Hi Jay, Which bottle design do you prefer. ?
I guess I like 'em all, really, Terrence.
I love this video.
I'm glad you liked it.
Ronald just curious, any go to beer you prefer? What kind of beers do you enjoy (I know, loaded question). Just curious is all
Well, Larseus, it's usually things like Natural Ice, which are good, in my opinion, and cheap.
@@ronaldtheriot Thanks Ronald, I don't think I have had Natural Ice, I will try that next!
Came for the comparison, stayed for the history lesson. Thanks!
You're welcome, and thanks for watching, Firefolly. I appreciate it!
Go cards..... Love both beers. I Drink highlife nonstop.
Thanks, Beer 30. I appreciate you watching!
yeah !!! you're awesome I used to watch your videos all the time
I just picked up a 30 pack, it worked out to about 63 cents a can that way.
That's not too bad, this day in age, ryacus. Thanks for watching!
THEY SAW YOU COMING! lol
Great video so is genuine draft similar to a ice beer?
Keoni Marques No, not really similar at all, Keoni.
Enjoyed this video....I am a Miller drinker....I think you get the best bang for the buck with Miller High Life...while it is not the greatest beer in the world it is always consistent....The Genuine Draft is better...up to you if ya wanna spend the extra few dollars for it...beer is really cheap in your state
I think Louisiana must be one of the cheapest beer states. I have been buying lots of Milwaukee's Best Ice.
Hi Ron, I really like MGD, but try to stick to Miller Lite to cut calories. (I've also tried High Life Light) Strangely, MGD is imported to Canada with pry off caps, whereas they're twists in the States? Another excellent review Sir
+Terrence LaBroix That's weird. Yes, they're twist-offs, here, Terrance. Thanks!
I would like to try both of those beers I guess if I can find the single beer cans of both I will give them a try
Yes, single cans/bottles can be a big benefit, at times.
I started drinking with Miller High Life at 18. It has a special place in my heart. I have to do this taste challenge to see which one i like more. High Life night. Cheers!!!!
Juan Chavez Cheers back to you, JC!
Ronald Theriot just bought some Mgd at Walmart for the price of Highlife which is odd.
That is odd.
Mgd here is 12- 16oz cans for 8.99. Highlife is 5.49 to 5.99 12oz 12pack. Central Illinois. Love those cans
Those are good prices. MUCH better than in Louisiana.
Just went to the Cardinals game today! Had a great time, unfortunetly they lost against the Braves, but great game!
Chris George Yeah, I saw that they lost, but still, they're the hottest of the 30 teams, for sure, CG.
Yes sir! I hope we can keep this up through the playoffs. I remember 2011 when the Phillies were the hottest team all season but fell in the first round of the playoffs
in canada we have labatt genuine lager. its the same cold filtered beer as miller genuine draft but made by labatt.
I'd love to try that one!
I do prefer the Genuine draft, but the high life is so much cheaper here. I have still yet to try Miller 64 but it does not seem like its worth the price.
+Hunter Yelton No, the 64 is just dull to the max.
I'm drinking genuine draft now in the UK I've managed to find somewhere that sells it. It's really nice! I give it an A for flavour for the style.
I'm glad to hear this!
Just ran upon this even though it's 8 years ago. Nice comparison. I think using glasses without logos would improve the video. Visually it's very busy and distracting IMHO. I also like your label comparison and I wished the bottles were up higher or use a inset photo as I can't really see them. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching, PV. I appreciate it!
I can get brewed under license MGD in the UK, not High Life though I've had it in the states. I think both are good for the style.
Camo78 I agree (both good). Thanks for watching, Camo78. I appreciate it!
You’re pretty drippy bro, digging the sports swag
Thanks for watching, Isaac Avila. I appreciate it!
Hiya Ron, and cheers!! I`ve always wondered why I felt so horrible the next day after drinking MGD. It gave me the WORST headaches, and stomach problems the day after. It`s been many years since I`ve had a Miller High Life, or the draft version. I`m still drinking budget beer, since craft beer just isn`t affordable for me anymore.
Funny story for you, the other day, I noticed I still had some Sam Adams Boston Lager in the fridge, with a good freshness date on it. Well, after drinking Coors Banquet for almost a month now, I popped open my Sam Adams Lager. It was like my taste buds went into shock!! lol.
That being said, I`m looking for a rotation beer for the Coors Banquet that I have liked for a while now.
I`m wondering if Miller High Life would be a decent rotation beer to go to? It`s been way to long since I`ve had a Miller High Life. However, I don`t recall being put off by it. Anyways, have a great weekend Ron!!
Thanks for the good comments, Joe! Same, back to you!
Ironically you are wearing a Cards shirt and drinking a Miller product. These are my two favorite adjunct beers. Not sure which I like best. I guess it depends on which one I am drinking at the time. Good review!!
I guess it's a tie, for me. Yeah, I didn't think about that, for the t-shirt & brewer mismatch. Thanks a lot. I appreciate it!
Is Miller High Life on Draft 4.6% ABV or is it 4.7% ABV like Miller Genuine Draft?
It is 4.7%, I believe.
The MDG is in the left hand... This is my favorite domestic beer. Found it on sale for 4.99 a twelver, in bottles.
I like MGD, too, but it's fading so fast, most places, around here, don't carry it. Also, thanks for watching, kaweah01. I appreciate it!
none of my local stores sell MGD anymore. but high life seems to be going strong. i even buy high life time to time in between buying craft beer.
Still getting it for 5.99 (Up a dollar) a twelve pack, in bottles of course.
Why do you pure like that?
Does it taste better or remove air?
Yes, it helps to remove the air, to keep me from getting bloated.
@@ronaldtheriot oh okay thanks cause i keep burping havin problem, my friend always say always pure it angle.
Whats your thinking behind the hard pour?
Well, it released esters, which enhance the drinking experience. Plus, the foam goes down, pretty fast, anyway.
@@ronaldtheriot - interesting. I have always poured my beers very slowly because I’ve been afraid of killing the carbonation. Is this something you always do or just when you’re reviewing beers?
@@tweezerjam No, I always do it.
Nice Sapporo glass dude, I live near the actual city.
That's really cool, I am bic pentameter. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
I always hated Miller genuine draft but I also haven’t had it since I was 18. I drink Miller high life till this day one of my go 2’s now that I’m closer to 30
I guess I love them both, but the Genuine Draft is a bit more expensive, so I generally buy the Genuine Draft. Thanks for watching, Steven Tellez. I appreciate it!
Hey Ron "the riot"....saw MGD here and picked some up today. It has been years since I have seen this beer. I had bad memories as the one time I drank it ended up getting sick. Made me think something about the filtering did not actually equate to pasteurization....anyway as a lover of High Life, I decided it was time to revisit. My impression is MGD is much smoother with noticeable bittering vs High Life. Also HL has always had the most pronounced "corny" flavor of any adjunct lager around. Part of what makes it High Life, but that corny flavor is much more subdued in Genuine Draft. Back in the early 1990s MGD was a top dog seller and commanded a premium price point. Which makes me have to ask, did you ever try Miller "Colders" a very short lived early 90s beer? Drank a fair bit of it in summer of 92 in Baton Rouge, a budget line that was similar to extra gold lager....AJ
I'm glad you are enjoying it, AJ! Colders? No, I never tried it, because that was before I started my beer adventure (Feb., 1996). Good hearing from you!
Where did you find that? I haven't had MGD in years! My Uncle GJ's favorite beer! Edit: Nevermind, lol. We don't have it in St. James Parish anymore either!
Thanks for watching, Brad Bourgeois. I appreciate it! Well, Matherne's at Riverlands has lots of fresh 12-packs of MGD.
@@ronaldtheriot Thanks for the response! I'll be sure to pick some up soon!
@@bradjbourgeois73 You're welcome!
Are you saying the yeast in Budweiser gives some people bad hangovers, Ronald? I used to think it was something to do with the rice. It's all anecdotal really anyway.
Camo78 I am just assuming it's the yeast strain, Camo.
i haven't had a MGD in years, but i do remember it being more crisper than high life, both are very good beers, imo. who remembers MGD Light?
Tomas A. Molina I remember it.
Ronald Theriot my dad loved that beer.
I personally can drink more highlifes back to back than the mgd due to the different in taste. The highlife seems smoother and mellow in flavor. I will drink mgd once in a while but that roasted nut flavor isn’t for me and I think the mgd makes me feel fuller in my stomach.
That's very interesting, steven weine. There is definitely a difference. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
Love me some highlife, and pbr and Hamm's
Duane Whitham Me, too, Duane!
from the land of sky blue waters!
i like them both. haha i recognize that glass
+Tommy Sands Yes, it's a tie, for me, I guess.
and don't forget about the handy keg! which was lone star draft beer in a can! i never got to try it, but i do remember the men in my family drinking it. look for the can on ebay, it's pretty sharp looking, imo.
Tomas A. Molina I was not aware of that one. But, apparently, none of those were true draft beer, because none of the brands stepped up to challenge Miller on it, and, in fact, they all just quickly faded away, in the face of MGD or with beers, like Piels, changed the labels to read "Draft-style beer" or "with that draft taste".
Ronald Theriot i wish i knew the years that the handy keg was available. hey, i just saw high life plastic quart bottles for the first time today, picked up a few glass 32's for old times sake!
Right! Get the glass while you can!
Ronald Theriot just added a 32 ouncer, glass, to my mini beer can collection :(
Nice!
What's your take on Tony La Russa coming back to the White Sox after retirement ? Did you enjoy his tenure in St.Louis ?
Great Video ! Enjoyed the content
I thought he did a good job, but I think this hire is a big mistake. Thanks. I appreciate you watching, Alex Lord!
@@ronaldtheriot Wish us the best of luck, hoping he could pull off half of what he did in St.Louis ! Hope y'all take the Division in 2021 against wounded Cubbies 🙃 .
can't find MGD in stores or gas station in my part of utah anymore.
I'm sorry to hear this. Thanks for watching, Darren Grace. I appreciate it!
When will you be coming out with Theriot/“The-Riot” merchandise!? Whenever I see your name I always internally pronounce it “the riot”
I guess I'll never do it. Thanks for watching, Jacob Frank. I appreciate it!
Can't find MGD round these parts. Charlotte, NC zone.
I'm sorry to hear this.
A very interesting tasting beer. It is disappointing that the company or this particular brew is fading away the market, from what I've heard. I hope it can stick around for a few more years. I imagine you must be sentimental or favour this stuff having grown up with it. What was your first Beer you ever tried? I'm curious.
I'm not too sentimental, since it didn't come out, until my senior year in high school. The first beer I ever tried was Miller High Life, I think.
@@ronaldtheriot I must of got mixed up with another beer. My mistake sorry. Forgive my ignorance.
I think I gravitate toward the MGD but I do like them both.
Same, here, Dalton Horton. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
I can get mgd bottles here and do on occasion..but high Life is superior in taste all day long for me..however I miss the cool black and gold mgd cans that dissapeared here..I would buy it in can over high Life...wierd right?
I don't think that's weird. We can't get it at all, in any format, now.
@@ronaldtheriot that sucks..mgd will be gone here too I bet highlife is widely available in all formats except for ponies
I've heard of the awful Budweiser hangovers, personally I've drank a 12 pack in an entire day and night(sure I was drunk, but no hangover). I guess it affects everyone differently. Weird how that works.
kyle8769 I agree with you, because it doesn't bother me, one bit.
Dang! That's horrible, Evan.
I know. But, if it made me sick, I sure would avoid it.
I love Miller High Life! Kind of a violation for a Cards fan drinking anything but Busch or Michelob though.
Oh, I'm not a Cardinals fan. I was just wearing the apparel. Thanks for watching, Ryan McAvey. I appreciate it!
I prefer MGD as well but I normally buy high life due to price either way it’s a damn good beer
Same, here, except that can even get Miller Genuine Draft in my town, anymore.
One of my college friends always referred to Budweiser as "Headache in a Can." (And that was decades ago.) Miller products always seem "gentler" to me somehow. Even their Mickey's is an unusually mild-tasting malt liquor. I think of it as Miller High Life's big brother.
I guess I just never had, for whatever reason, a sensitivity to these products. Thanks for watching, William Reynolds. I appreciate it!
Before I watch the video, ide have to say MGD but it was the first beer I ever drank in my life, I had a whole sixer that day.
+Tom Thomas That's a fairly big amount for one day (remember who is saying this). Thanks for watching, Tom Thomas. I appreciate it!
Everyone loves Mich Golden Light and Mich Golden, next heard it called "goldy light" in MN tho
They were calling it that in 2010, at least. Thanks for watching, WiL. I appreciate it!
@@ronaldtheriot Thank you for your content! Keep doing what you're doing brother, appreciate your response!
9 in the morning?! Dang Louisiana I wouldn't be able to make it in the glass! High Life and mudbugs ...now you're talkin! Budweiser gives a doozy of a hangover bud ....
Ha-ha. Yes, I have heard others talk about that major Budweiser hangover. And, that nasty headache, too. Thanks for watching, Adam Coker. I appreciate it!
My hubby drinks Miller High Life! It's his after work or lawn mowing beer.
Sally Griffin It's perfect for such a setting, Sally.
I wish they bottle MGD in the champagne style bottle like High Life.
I think they're preparing to discontinue MGD, so I don't think they even care, anymore. Thanks for watching, Stefan Uttam. I appreciate it!
Do you have a theory as to why High Life is more popular than Genuine Draft ?
***** Yes. I think it's because it's a good bit cheaper.
8:18 for an epic burp
Yes, sometimes that will happen.
For some reason, I prefer High Life. Either way, I like Hamm's and PBR as much. They all have their place.
Just like you, I enjoy all of them, too. Yep- they all have their place.
im on my mums account but ill coment anyway, good video, just u mentioning crawfish has me starving for some, take it easy
Ha-ha. Thanks, whoever you are. It is delicious!
this guy is really lit
Actually, I was not. Thanks for watching, Gary Scott. I appreciate it!
I'm not really sure about what causes headaches with beer, but I know some brands use sulfiites or sulfates, not sure about the spelling, which seems to be what causes me to get headaches. With Miller beer, I don't get the headaches or stomach aches. I don't believe Miller uses them in their production. Either or, I'm sticking with my High life...
That's a good idea, and I appreciate you watching, Daily Drew. Thanks!
I like both. MGD is a little more, has a more good solid taste. High Life is good, less consistent, some batches good, some not as where I believe MGD is consistent all the time even if its a slight difference. Has the more regular taste, like the exact Bud rival. High Life kinda has been put in the underclass like Pabst. MGD is a compromised middle class beer designed for the working class, but the difference is slight, u can see it though.
I've not noticed a consistency issue with Miller High Life, but I also prefer the Miller Genuine Draft. Thanks for watching, Smokin Giovanni. I appreciate it!
I wish Miller genuine draft was Bottle in the same design as highlife
But, it's not a terribly-different design.
When can we expect cigar and whisky reviews from you ?
Well, I am thinking about doing whiskey, starting in 2028. I am not being a wiseacre, but it's what I am planning.
I'm a High Life man, give me a Popeyes chicken sandwich with a High Life and I'm solid!
Ha-ha. Excellent. Thanks for watching, Pierre Goldstein. I appreciate it!
the sapporro glass is MGD
Say, what?
I had both back to back many years ago and recall High Life being the better of the two..MGD had a slight off flavor on the finish.
To me, MGD is better, but not by a big margin. Thanks for watching, john robert. I appreciate it!
I guess you know by now the Genuine Draft was in the Sapporro glass, not the High Life.I liked Genuine Draft back in the eighties so I bought a big can to go with my hot dogs and hamburgers tonight.I'll see if I still like it after many years of drinking hoppy craft beers.I did enjoy my Fosters oil can I bought last weekend.
That's right. I like to buy MGD, from time to time, but it's not even sold in this town, anymore. High Life and High Life Light do well, here, though.
Well,I didn't like it.Don't know if I had a bad can or that I've really gotten used to strong hops flavor in my beer.It tasted flat, watery and weirdly sweet and I couldn't get through the whole can.Luckily I had some Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter in the fridge - delicious!

Thank you.
Are you messing around when you say you've never had a hangover?
Well, maybe once I felt a little run down, but it didn't last too long, and that was only one time. I'm not into all that heavy drinking. Thanks for watching, Thomas Bunn. I appreciate it!
It's Miller time
Yes! Thanks for watching, 1020Shane. I appreciate it!
