Great review. I'd actually agree with your assessment. Funnily enough, they are both fundamentally the SAME brew - MHL is pasteurised whereas MGD is Cold-Filtered. It certainly does make for a world of difference. Cheers!
16oz miller high life has always been my favorite beer, i tried MGD a few times but never stuck with it and now you dont see it in stores anymore , , , , , good ole miller high life is 5 stars all the way!
I started drinking beer with mgd. I loved it, After I tried high life, I could never go back. It’s miller time, either way. If a bar doesn’t have high life, mgd will do.
I’ve drinking Miller beers since the early 00’s (when I could legally enjoy a beer lol) and this was a solid review. I could tell which was which before you revealed the results based on a few observations. MHL leaves more of a residual white lacing inside the glass, it definitely sticks around longer and is a more “heady” beer. When you described one having more of a bite, I knew that was the MHL as it has more of a hoppier finish. The MGD has more of a crisp finish as you described. They’re both great beers IMO but I think I like the MGD just a tad bit more. And you are correct, MHL is way more common. The only place I can find MGD is at Walmart. Cheers!
Miller genuine draft my favorite beer and is the only type of miller available in Iceland and it wasn't long ago that I didn't even know there was a high life version. I like the design of the high life better and it's nice to read your description of the differences and that you prefer the MGD,it sounds smoother ..
@@Eli1993. thanks man! Yes, I enjoy our American style lagers even if other countries look down on them. Many of them have German inspirations (Budweiser, Miller, Coors) they are designed to be refreshing and crisp. Wow! Iceland eh? I’m always curious as to what beers may be available in other countries. Are there any famous Icelandic beers from your country or any others you prefer?
@rocketman8476 I was into all the hipsters beers and beer aficionados beers like the stout, porters, ipa all that , i loved the founders beers but I always went back to just crisp ,fresh American adjunct lager and been drinking miller for years like you ,happy to know there's another miller I might like even more than GD We have an Ok variety of beers here We don't have Pabst and Michelob but we have miller GD, coors, budweiser, bud light ...we have American bourbon When it comes to Icelandic beers The breweries here copy styles from other countries like Germany,Belgium, the UK,America I dont think we gave Any Icelandic beers that are famous in other countries but i have no idea Here people like beers from breweries like Borg brugghús and Egils gull (egils gold, the name based on Egill who was a famous viking who killed his first person at 6 years old or something and made a poem and before he died of old age he hid gold somewhere) They have a variety of beers I like bríó and I think you might too being a fan of lagers
I prefer MGD but High Life is ok. Funny thing though; I prefer MGD in a can over bottle and High Life is better from the bottle than can. It doesn't seem to matter with Miller Lite.
Almost everyone I know prefers cold filtered over heated pasteurized. Exact same beer with different filtering process. They say, heat pasteurized takes a bit of the flavor away.
One from a bottle and the other, from a can = Improper Taste Test. Also, mixing them up? One your own? = Easy to know which one is what thus, come out with the outcome you want. Need someone else.
Then go watch someone else if You don’t like the way I do things on my Channel. Also, You are very ignorant and have no idea what You’re talking about. Have a great day!

No its not high life still has a light malty flavor. You sound dumb and hypercritical. I never liked miller lite thought it was gross like Corona but the high life is a great beer very friendly some sugar to help with the gulp but still respectable for beer snobs.

That’s interesting, and I actually didn’t even know that, that’s pretty cool. Thanks for the comment as well. Cheers!

No High Life in my country but plenty of MGD made in Hungary. Great taste great beer
Good review. High life is my favorite. Price wise high life is the better deal. Cheers!
I agree. Cheers!

We have an Ok variety of beers here
We don't have Pabst and Michelob but we have miller GD, coors, budweiser, bud light ...we have American bourbon
When it comes to Icelandic beers
The breweries here copy styles from other countries like Germany,Belgium, the UK,America
I dont think we gave Any Icelandic beers that are famous in other countries but i have no idea
Here people like beers from breweries like
Borg brugghús and Egils gull (egils gold, the name based on Egill who was a famous viking who killed his first person at 6 years old or something and made a poem and before he died of old age he hid gold somewhere)
They have a variety of beers
I like bríó and I think you might too being a fan of lagers
GREAT REVIEW - LOVED IT - Both are excellent and crushable beers no doubt. I agree with the end result of your challenge :)))
Yeah, I was a little surprised honestly. Thanks for the comment! Cheers!
I'd have picked the High Life too.
I prefer MGD but High Life is ok. Funny thing though; I prefer MGD in a can over bottle and High Life is better from the bottle than can. It doesn't seem to matter with Miller Lite.
Great review ‼️
Thank you! Cheers! 🍻

Love that review ,and both beers great work.
THE only difference in brewing is -- MGD is cold filtered and High Life is pasteurized. Otherwise exactly the same recipe.
MGD!!!
Nice!

Esa es la mascara de escalofrios ?
I prefer MGD over highlife for the exact reason u didn't. It has more pilsner flavor where as highlife is more like sweet piss water

MGD rules 🍺.
