-Samus: Don't let them do this, can you see what's going to happen, Adam?! -Adam:...who is Adam? -Samus: Dude, can you even see your name on the screen?
Was the decision to leave that in intentional? xD Edit: After reading more comments, it obviously wasn't. Funny thing is, I didn't even realize that until I saw a comment mentioning this so it totally went over my head. By the way, it was a super good video. Although maybe you should make a corrected version and upload it in the future to coincide with the date of a new Metroid Prime 4 trailer or something. Seems like it won't happen for a while, so you'd have alot of time to work on it at your own pace.
It´s always funny to me how the digital copy of Adam was given to Samus, and how she decided to name it like that, only for this dramatic reveal to happen. Then again, nobody at HQ knows what transpired at Bottle Ship´s Sector Zero...
This is a case of Lost in translation From the other m that never was: The conspirators in other m were stopped Adam is called privately ADAM by samus because he sounded just like him
I like how Samus gave this Adam a thumbs down in response to when he said “Any objections lady?” just like the old Adam. What I find ironic is how this AI was based off the brain mapping of the original Adam that Samus had known before. At first I thought he was being an obedient federation prick, but when he told Samus a better plan to destroy the x parasites, I knew a part of the original Adam was in that programming somewhere. The cutscene was probably the best one in the entire game.
Yeah, figured I’d add that. As bad as Other M was (despite what my let’s plays say), I felt that touch was necessary to show off that bond between Samus and Adam
Honestly put a tear in my eye. I especially enjoyed how she looked away in sadness and somewhat embarrassed. I love it when people actually acknowledge Samus has emotions.
One of my favorite moments in the entire series. Excluding Other M, we barely see Samus talk but it leaves a powerful impact when she does. Not only that, but the fact she was able to break through the Adam’s programming and restore some semblance of common sense and free will. That “Final Mission” music at the end is the icing on the cake. Samus truly is as intelligent as she is powerful.
You nalied it , the way that the IA seems actually at first been despite Adam sacrifices by using his logics , and the rage of samus ,just to him tells a better way to end the treath , is so touchable. 10/10

I havent played dread yet, and am playing zero mission now so i dont have anything for those other than one of the ending parts of dread (the “raven beak pretending to be adam” part, the bit after that with child samus, that but where samus goes full metroid, or where samus absorbs the red x at that very end.)) Sorry for rambling, i tend to do that on accident. Whether you actually do this “””challenge””” or not is up to you, but im not gonna stop watching in you dont (and i wont stop if you do either. Thank you! And yeah, this scene was very important in the story of Metroid, alongside the first encounter with the baby Metroid, and Quiet Robe’s explanation
Damn, you did a fantastic job! The voice acting is, even at its worst, above average, and at best, sounds professional. The art is really well drawn, with the animation following suit. My personal only gripe is that, Samus doing the thumbs down to Adam's plan, that she then immediately does, doesn't make sense to me? But hey, that's it!
Actually, the thumbs down is a common gesture that Samus did when she worked for the real Adam. In Other M and Fusion, Samus said it was her way of responding to Adam saying “any objections, lady?”. It’s okay if you didn’t get that part, but I hope I clarified it now, and I’m happy you liked it overall!
@@Hadfield15 Oh, okay! I don't know as much about Other M as I do all the other games, so I only recognized the symbol as something she does a few times in Other M, and not an actual meaningful action. Cool!
I just found this video again, and wow I was harsh on this the first time I watched it. The voice acting is much better than I gave it credit for. Also I realized the thumbs down is saying no to having objections, not no to the plan!

As much as I like this scene, I think it would have been better if Samus found a way to escape this room on her own. In all the other games, Samus has been an independent warrior who finds her own way. This game changed that by starting her off really weak, so she had no choice but to rely on the Federation for support; if she follows their orders, they'll send weapons and abilities. At this scene, it would have been cool if she was locked up but then found her own way to escape, showing that she's back to being independent and using her own judgement and morales, even if it goes against the Federation. This Adam confrontation could have then occurred outside the BSL control room; the door is locked tight and can't be broken, but Samus convinces the computer to open it.
In my opinion, I’d say that of Other M. However, in Fusion, I do feel a lot of them are good for conveying the story (since there aren’t any data logs to access like in the Prime games)
