Searching Money from the Bank for Rare Star Notes and MORE

- I'll be searching through $1,000 worth of money ($1 bank notes) from my local bank. All 10 of these $100 $1 Bill straps are teller straps. These are straps the bank tellers assemble from customer and business deposits. I typically have better luck when searching federal reserve notes strapped by the Federal Reserve rather than by the bank employees but I was still excited to hunt through these notes!
We're hoping to find more rare star notes, any valuable old bills, or any fancy or cool serial numbers in these circulated stacks of bills. I hope you enjoy this bit of bill hunting with me.

Among the most sought-after U.S. paper money of the late 1960s are the short-lived "Barr" Notes. The bills feature the signature of then Secretary of the Treasury, Joseph W. Barr. Barr had a relatively short term of office, the shortest of anyone that has held the position (December 21, 1968 - January 20,1969), leading to hoarding of these $1 Secretary Barr Notes. These notes are Series 1963B.

found a star note today from 2013, K series, sadly less rare. also found a 2001-D Rhode Island quarter with a giant die crack on the obverse.
Got my first star note today. It's series L 2013; it's not rare or anything, but it's my first to go to that collection.

My last one dollar hunt I think I got somebody's old collection and found 10 1988A web notes in great condition. 3 consecutives in great condition. Thinking about getting them graded??? Love your videos. Full of great advice. Appreciate ya brother!

Good deal. I thought oh no, I recently dumped a few thousands downtown. But you're right the bills would be all facing the same way.
Bills are always a fun hunt - but dang, they can be tough! But at least you find a nice rare star note - that's sweet! Another great video!

I got in touch with the people at project 2013 B, and they told me i had a rare note and they said that my note was 97.2 percent on coolness. And a prime number only 5.28 percent of all star notes are prime.

How hard is it to get new bill straps from the Treasury?
It’s not hard but banks only order them for business accounts and only when they need bills too.
Did you say a 2013 B Fort Worth (FW) under 9 million serial # is worth something?
Look up duplicated 2013 B series notes.
You should have no problem getting $20 for them individually.
Always a good hunt when you find one.

I’m a freshman and I took my wallet to school with me. (Big mistake) I had 2 (rare-ish) $1 star notes in the wallet. Well in my 2nd period my wallet was stolen so the star notes are gone. Thankfully they found the kid who took it so now we’re working on pressing charges. At least I got some closure.
