There are a lot of "how to" videos out there, but this is by far the best one I've seen. No extra unnecessary details, clean editing.

A really great video . This gentleman has a gift, of being able to explain things step by step, so people can take-it in. I learned alot from this video and his front brake cable replacement and how to bleed the system.

Thank you very much what a great video well planned and executed!!
I'm attempting to do this right now with a 2005 Fatboy 17-in apes, just ordered 51-in cables, I had 42 but they was too small.
And my throttle actuator at the intake is very beat up just barely holds the ferrels

  • @Tecton420

Finally utilized this video haha, got rid of my trash oem cables (50k miles old lol) and threw on some Barnett performance cables. Tutorial was super easy to follow, but man I felt like a wimp pulling the cables from the control housing, those things were in there tight! Took advantage of having the controls open and took out the stupid 'cruise control' dial as well.
A few things idk if I was dumb or if I just misunderstood. But when I was adjusting the cables, I went off the butterfly valve inside the throttle body being open 100% then gave it the additional turn as you suggested, rather than looking at the wheel on the side of the throttle body. For the return cable that one I'm not sure I have adjusted correctly. The body of the cable was touching the spring inside the slot on the throttle body from the get go, so I couldn't adjust till then. So I adjusted until the return felt right, and backed off a full clockwise rotation and it feels nice, smooth, and snappy now.
Finally went in and ordered that little cap as well so I can remove the vapor canister up front next weekend. I think I'm going to keep the bracket in place though, it looks like the perfect bracket to hold a horizontal mounted oil cooler 🤞
Thanks again for the time and effort in this videos man, I check back on them all the time!

Nice job, brother! I installed a new chumps bar and forgot if the two push and pull cables were seated all the way into the housing or not (plus the spring config). Very helpful and a nice job. Pristine (without all the other crap that some people take; 5 minute video that extends to 15-minutes-plus)! : )

I bought my first motorcycle I never worked on any of them or even cars. I noticed that iddle and throttle cable are "loose" this metal part 7:29 that goes straight to that plastic is very loose how to fix that? and also is that litttle wheel under the throttle is mechanic cruise control? because my 2007 dyna street bop has the same thing. But please tell me what to do with cables I assume this part that touches that plastic underneath suppose to be solid , mine is very loose both cables .
