Love your channel. Even when I disagree with something you post. You stay true to what you think a product is. You're one of the few channels to actually say something is not good. I'm a fan no matter what scale you're reviewing.
Ever since the early 1980's, I've dallied on and off, in every single type of modeling on land, sea, and air (with exceptions for warships and submarines). After watching one of my disc golfing friends pull out this dinky 24th scale crawler and tackle some terrain, I realized, I haven't crawled before. So i broke down and bought the AX24. For about 2 weeks now, I've been conquering stones and roots in my front yard and drooling over all the aftermarket parts and upgrades online. After watching a serious amount of rc videos (yours too. Nice content. I subbed), I've learned 2 things. 1, rc crawling is fun as hell, & 2) it's going to take me forever and a day to upgrade my crawler. lol.. Keep up the good work.
Take this tip from a longtime 24th scale crawler tinkerer. Buy at least one extra car that you don't really upgrade. As in, maybe throw on some new wheels and tires, and a bolt in, direct swap motor. That way, you'll have something that at least runs when your crazy upgraded beast is in 30 pieces in the middle of an upgrade. I do this so I always have something to run when my kids want to "play with our cars, dad!"
No nonsense 24th reviews, builds and how-to's are why I'm here! It's a bit masochistic, as it's ridiculously $$$ to get aftermarket stuff shipped up here. But, hey, dare to dream!
Your honest reviews is why I get notifications you've posted a video. Not selling me on bogus down grades and giving HELPFUL insight. Thank you.
Keep doing what you do! Always informative, entertaining, and above all, honest. I think everyone doing deep dive upgrades will run other scales anyway ,so your input will be welcome! 👍😎
Thank you Matt, I always appreciate your honest, well-thought-out content and opinions.
You've saved me from buying upgrades at least a couple of different times. The one I can recall the most is the mofo portals.
I just built up the titanium Bettle chassis and even though I haven't had a ton of time on the rocks with it yet I am very impressed by this little rig. It just seems to cling to the rocks. I'm running high clearance links too and I ended up flipping the front ones upside down to avoid the binding. I'm running 65mm tires and so far I haven't had any issues with those links hanging up. I don't mind the stock servo set up but I really like how your lay down set up pulls the steering linkage in a little bit. Also I like that you kept all of your electronics and battery on the lower level. I haven't figured that one out yet. Thanks for the great content!!
Stay true, Ponyboy! Good to see the Trx4m like this. Thanks.
I just bought 2 smashers and a crawler because of you. Good work friend!
Haha! Hope you enjoy them!!!
Honesty is the best policy, that’s what I love about you Matt. 👍👍😎 Love my 124s also I’m really stoked on a new one that’s on its way to me yeah silver eagle
Matt love this channel no matter the scale 🍻🔥
Heck yeah looking forward to what’s in the future, love your videos and your honesty. That’s why we watch you all the time. Catch you on the next one until then peace and chicken grease 😁👍👍😎
Glad to hear it! Look forward to the 1/18 & 1/10 stuff.
Thanks matt we appreciate u and what u do for small scale sometimes u just get burnt out got to take a break where here buddy and watching😎👍
Love the build 🤙🏻. I’m running Losi mini-t rear shocks all around. No springs or internal wipers but put 20wt in them. Perfect for me and gain a good amount of travel.
Awesome looking rig.
Awesome content Matt! Always enjoy your unbiased videos and your opinions, cause they're not bought lol. You keep doing you and what you enjoy, I will continue watching.
Thanks Matt, now I'm buying one of those. My wife thanks you also. Love the content good work.🤜
Respect you for doing your thing and staying true 🤘.
Love you content man seriously appreciate all you do for the community
Love your vids man, always the most informative! Ill watch any scale vid you make
We all know you're going to do what you want. I do only watch for small scale crawlers tbh.
I fitted the hotracing aluminum shocks for the latrax teton on my trx4m. 60mm long and compress to the same length as the stock ones. I had to keep the stock rod ends and springs.
By far my favorite channel !!!
Really appreciate that 🙏
Spring is near so it's time to go outside with the 1/10 scale rigs
No doubt!
That's one sick rig. I may need a 3rd trx4m and build something like that! That indoor course is Amazing. Do you have an overview video of it?
Love your content keep doing you and what u love I will still watch every episode I have a few 1/10 myself
I just buy the Injora 53mm shock and Injora LCG carbone chassis :)
I would love some 10th scale content and I know you have a LMT that barely gets any screen time. Do whatever you please and I will watch it. Catch you later
As far as 1/24 has come, I feel like no one is really showing the full potential of a real 1/24 rock bouncer. FCX and Furitek make it possible, but no one is doing the loose dirt and rock mixed hill bouncing like the 1/10s or full scale events. I think it's a fun and under represented thing that more people would support if they knew about it.
I have thoroughly tested the 3f9 rear link riser and with factory front link positions, it makes everything worse. You will have to move the front of the rear upper links higher to get the upper link flat in order for it to do anything beneficial. Nice idea, but makes things worse.
Hey just for your info those wheels you got black rhino, there are trx4m hubs that fit on the axles now, wiating for mine (: Bought them the first time thinking theyd fit but ehh whatever needed wheels anyway
The good and the bad just like a real review should be 👍🏽
Is the turning radius affected by that servo set up? Sick rig btw 🤙🏽
Really appreciate that. Didn’t hurt the turning radius but I had to work with the links a bit to make sure it didn’t. Meus offers a really good kit for doing it now.
I'm going to ride with you no matter what
Great set up man, I Have the same shocks, I’m trying to run them with no springs as well but I’m having trouble with how much oil I should be putting in it, how much are you running?
Hey Matt, can you please test the injora shocks with a few different springs internally on the shock shaft? I was just wondering if stock scx24 springs (should do) or the injora 1/24 springs fit inside.
Nice
Hey man, wondering if you will be doing a review on the new trx4m injora carbon chassis? Just ordered one.
Wish Injora had better stick in Canada (Amazon)
Don’t want to order from them directly but I guess I might have to. Can’t get shocks/linkage/bumpers legit everything
is this still a trx4m? hahaha
my favorite small scale but still love them all
you ever tried out the injora +4mm axel?
I have some but I haven’t installed them. I’ve been on a narrow axle kick lately so I haven’t put them to use lol
What Losi shocks are people going to? I haven't heard this.
Would you ever consider selling arig this
How do you think those would perform with just the springs and no oil? Or is the oil needed. New to the crawling scene with the trx4m and just asking questions thank you!
They really need the oil to work smoothly. I’m just gonna run mine with light oil and no springs.
@@2fmrc thank you so much for the reply. Definitely ordering them then. You like the travel so far on them? I’m going to get the injora chasis as well.
Do the shocks add articulation?
They are a little longer than stock so yeah a little
🚙
what servo mount are you using?
The one on this truck is one I printed myself & made some steering links for. I would recommend the meus racing lay down mount. It’s aluminum and comes with some nice steering links.
@@2fmrc yep I saw that one. Might have to grab it someday
Not the biggest fan of those injora links buy there might be some advantages 🤔
I have a questions why didn't you run the 59mm vs the 53mm on this rig? What are the benefits?
They just didn’t have the 59mm when I made this video. The 53mm came out first.
@@2fmrc I see thank you for your replay I went with the 53mm for my bronco.
@@octane2099 I think the 53mm will be a good fit for it for sure!
These credit card crawlers are not really a TRX4M or a SCX24 anymore.... I figure the TRX4M was made for less than $50 in China. Many have dumped over $700 into it and nothing remains that came in the box.
That’s the name of the game lol
@@2fmrc Subbed.
