This is a very good video, perhaps one of the best I've seen. It looks like a professional presentation and is very easy to understand. Even a novice should be able to follow the directions with little difficulty.
I can hear your wife now. Honey, where is our ceiling fan? I made you some fresh apple cider today. Where's our ceiling fan? How's that fresh apple cider? WHERE IS THE CEILING FAN?
+Stephen Elkins - That could have been So true! Luckily, my neighbor threw that fan away, and I recyled it. My wife did get mad at me though. I first tried it in the kitchen before I realized I needed to add the splash guard on top. It worked really well, but send apple juice and chunks all over the window, cabinets, ceiling and floor. She makes me use it it the driveway now :)
+John Citizen - The white and green plastic parts are bolted tightly against the motor. That keeps out pretty much everything. Also, as the masher spins, the water is forced (centrifuged) away from the motor. I have made gallons of cider and have a dry motor, every time.
This is one of the best thought out, properly produced how to videos I have ever seen, and I have seen many.
Great video - moves quickly and doesn't get boring. Great editing.
Fantastic idea to take the motor from the fan. Easy to get a fan for cheap. Cheers!
Really great vid all around

Seriously the most well edited amateur how-to video I have ever seen
possibly the best editing I've seen in a youtube video... ever! Thanks!
Wow dude. You are super creative. There are great tips in here for just building in general.
Wow what a great teaching ....thank you so much!!!
Great video and good looking machine!

I wish I had you around when i first started investigating/taking things apart. Probably coulda saved myself a shock or twelve
You're a genius ... thanks for sharing with all ...
Well done Sir!!
Nice edit
howtolou, what keeps the juice from leaking through the center hole on the motor side into the motor?

Took FOREVER!! But BUT GENIUS!
Awesome! I am wondering why not have more teeth in the grinder?
More teeth would stall the motor. These motors like to run faster than typical grinder motors.
I love this video and your editing is freaking awesome and gives it that high on meth feeling. Awesome and easy to follow. Is that fan Hampton Bay?
+Robert M - Thank you. I don't remember. It was whatever my neighbor threw away :). I was a nice strong one though.
Cinching device equals a turnbuckle.
Impressive
Awesome!!
