I am humbly going to disagree with myself and retcon my own list. After some thought (and input from you guys) I’m gonna slide Van & Raven VS Hiltz in the Death Saurer into the number 10 spot, and take Ruuji VS Zairin out Recency bias blinded me and I practically added a Genesis entry in for the sake of it, I mean it was a cool fight but cmon, cooler than Van and Raven teaming up for the first and only time in all of Chaotic Century? Nah
Dude , Raven taking Down the DS shield and Van being shot by the Gravity Canon was the coolest sh*t ever!!! Even Rudolph Entrance into that Fight was just top Notch!! My only complaing about that battle was the "only Van can save us" complex ( just by words fortunately , in action everybody there did their job to take down the DS) but in general, it was a great Final fight.
I know the Wilds series get slept on a lot but don't sleep on Wilds Senki. The Xeno-Rex and Burning Liger vs Zero Grizis and Zero Phantoms (ep6) were so great. Each episode actually were great.
The Blade Liger shot through the Gravity Cannon in Zoids Guardian Force will always be my absolute Favorite... BUT! I must say I agree with the Vega vs Bit ..Fury Vs. Liger Zero was epic.

Van facing a fleet of gun snipers should've been included. At this point, Van became so damn good as a pilot that his zoid with organoid couldn't keep up with him anymore. So Zeke had to evolve to keep up with Van. This is the reason why Van is considered as the Amuro Ray of Zoids. Both are vastly skilled and experienced pilots hindered by their mechs. Van with his blade liger and Amuro with original gundam(with learning computer), ReGZ(a tone down zeta gundam) and even the Nu gundam(which used an untested tech)
So happy to see you put in the Van vs. Raven fight in CC where he attempts to ram his Zaber Fang through the Liger's shield. Always such an impressive moment of animation whenever I recall it, the transition from CG to regular cell frames as it deteriorates makes it all the more sinister.
Yeah honestly it’s one of the few moments in Zoids that give me chills when watching, it looks and feels frightening and the atmosphere paired with the animation are the perfect combination for an amazing battle
Sad the final battle of Chaotic Century didnt make it. It was the best fight for me. Im just a sucker for "fail and its the end of the world" battles. And its awesome to see Van and Raven working together after 50+ episodes, Raven taking down the Death Saurer's shield as Van and his Liger is launched from the gravity cannon. Glorious.
It was great and definitely deserved an honourable mention spot at the very least, even if just for seeing Van and Raven finally working together While I enjoy the stakes and love the Death Saurer, I don’t THINK I could put either of the Death Saurer fights as my favourites, or any ‘final boss’ Zoid battle for that matter, I think my main issue is that there isn’t enough back and forth? Like they’re badass sure, but it’s typically just one massive force dominating before the heroes come back with one final strike to finish the job Looking back I probably could’ve taken the Genesis entry out and placed this final fight as number 10, but it’s too late now I guess haha
Hey, so I know I’m really late to the party here, but I just wanted to say thanks for the nostalgia trip, it was a ton of fun going back over the memories of seeing most of these fights for the first time, and also to offer my congratulations on hitting 15k! I haven't watched Wild Zero yet, I cannot find it complete with subs, but I'm probably just gonna watch it RAW and enjoy the visuals at least. haha But I personally think one of the single best moments in the franchise is the climax of Guardian Force. Firing the Blade Liger from the Gravity Cannon was so cheesy but so amazing. But lets be honest, its not JUST the visuals that make a cool scene, many of the good moments are only good because the sound track used in that moment amplified the moment. Which is also another reason that scene is so epic, the use of the instrumental version of "Wild Flowers" fit perfectly.
Hey Viseak! Just an idea, could you make a definitive Zoids timeline video? I.e Chaotic Century to New Century all the way to Zoids Wild Zero. It would also be super interesting to see easter eggs you've picked up in each series that connect to the wider timeline.
Man, I hate that UA-cam doesn't always notify me when you have a new video up, so I'm late to the party on this one. However, gotta agree with your list. Can't comment on the genesis or wilds fights as I've never seen them. But Bit vs Vega is one of my all time favorite fights in anime in general and easily my favorite in Zoids. Legitimately get chills everytime Zero comes jumping out of the smoke. Doesn't matter how many times I've seen it.
The final battle against the Death saurer is the reason I still remember Zoids, its such a well crafted everyone vs the big bad fight, they win not by a super new weapon or some deus ex machina but actual tactics and ingenuity, the fact that wild flowers finally after over 10 eps missing plays during the end was such a great moment. The first fight with Prozen earlier also has some of this but the dramatic execution was missing that big fuckyeah moment the Hiltz one had.
I know this moment isnt a full battle but in NCZ, when the 3 genosauruses showed up to nuke the Fury with 3 charged particle cannons... I was shocked when Vega disengaged its shields. Perfect goosebump moment.
Solid choices. There are way more than 10 battles that are worth mentioning for sure. I love any time when Rosso and Viola come into the fight. Holding off Raven’s Geno saurer with the Iron Kong was so dope. Or when Moonbay saves Van from the charged particle cannon attack with her Gustav 🙌🏼

Niiice, I haven't gotten to watch Wild Zero unfortunately, it's kind of dodgy to find online, but I've watched a couple of episodes of Wild and I think it's had some pretty nice fights. My List is a little more varied and somewhat surprising, although there's some fights that are just unmistakingly legendary. Anyway, here's my top 10: 10. Alpha Richter (Seismosaurus) vs Everyone (Fuzors was hard to watch, but that final fight and that final blow with the Falcon Liger was a little ray of light among the shadows that was Fuzors) 9. Arashi (Wild Liger) vs Drake (Gilraptor) 1st Encounter (Despite the drop of quality in Wild, the fights actually felt pretty wild, all close combat, no cockpit, and the power ups were a nice addition, i think it deserves the spot) 8. Ruuji (Murasame Liger) vs Galaga (Deadly Kong) (I really enjoyed this fight, felt pretty cool to watch those two just fighting in the middle of the night, on what seemed to be a junkyard, felt like a pretty nice streetfight if you will, and the deadly kong is masively cool witht hat deadly fist, Genesis had a lot of good fights) 7. Ruuji and Ra Kan (Murasame Liger and Sword Wolf) vs Georg (Bio tricera) (Georg's debut marked a power difference between Ruuji's crew and Digald's Army, which was most necessary, and the debut of the Hayate also made this fight pretty cool) 6. Jamie (Raynos) vs Pierce and BackDraft (Zabats) (What can I say, the wild eagle was an effing cool persona, that episode alone is probably my favorite of all of New Century Zero, Jamie just swifted through all those zabats and carried blitz team real hard, not to mention that wake up scene with the music was pretty damn cool) 5. Van (Blade Liger) vs Raven (Geno Saurus) (I agree with you, the whole fight was just so well done, and the birth of the Blade Liger was really badass) 4. Van, Thomas and Irvine (Blade Liger, Dibison and Lightning Saix) vs Hiltz (Death Stinger) (Every scene with the Death Stinger is uber cool, from its descend and crash to earth, to its fight with the guardian force, Hiltz really outshined Prozen both with the Death Stinger and the Death Saurer) 3. Bit (Liger Zero Schneider) vs Leon (Blade Liger) (Watching two Ligers go at it in close combat is always a treat to watch, and i think this battle served as a reference as to what could have happened if Bit had ever fought against Van and the Blade Liger) 2. Brad (Shadow Fox) vs Bit (Liger Zero Schneider) (Although it was a pretty short fight, Brad really made the Shadow Fox shine going toe to toe with Bit, This was also another highlight of New Century Zero) 1. Bit (Liger Zero) vs Vega (Berserk Fury) (You said it man, it's just the best fight of the franchise, fighting on top of the Ultra Saurus was just the icing of the cake too, that fight will always go down as the best fighting sequence in all zoids shows) BTW I see that HMM Shadow Fox you're building in the back, let us see how it looks when finished. Also, if you could do a Top 10 Gundam Battles, that would just be awesome. Cheers mate, as always, thanks for dropping another fire video!
Yeah it ain’t an easy one to watch, which is why I haven’t finished it myself either, bit of a shame cause from what I’ve seen its got a promising premise Solid list too, I can’t comment much on the Wild battles as I haven’t watched that at all yet. But the Death Stinger fights were awesome too and easily could’ve gotten an honourable mention slot The fox has been a fun build so far, almost finished it now. A top 10 Gundam Battles might not be a bad idea either 🤔 Thanks for watching and the kind words as always mate

hey Viseak, I'm not judging your choices for the list, but I just want to ask if you thought about adding the final battle from Chaotic Century? I know it wasn't the absolute best battle to end the first Zoids series on but I'm just a little surprised you didn't put it on the list as at least an honorable mention. Again, not judging you for your choices, just thought I would ask.
Haha honestly man looking back, I probably could’ve replaced the number 10 spot with the final battle in CC I’m not a huge fan of the trope of a big overwhelming monster absolutely dominating the fight only for the hero to win with one big strike (ie both Death Saurer battles), but seeing Van and Raven fight alongside could’ve probably ticked it over the edge into the number 10 spot

I mean, having Just Van using the blade liger strike down something that is easily 50 times bigger than him and the liger both times is kind of stupid for the creators to make him do but at least they had to work for it to get it done in the first 'place. Would’ve been way cooler to see more action though, a fight against overwhelming odds can still be awesome, and I reckon my example of a Dark Souls boss is a pretty good one. Like that’s one overwhelming battle but there’s heaps of back and forth trying to emerge victorious, imagine the blade liger trying to cut through the Death Saurers tail only to get smashed off with one of its blades snapping, then Raven boosts in, uses the Geno Breakers extended arm to grab the blade, throw it into the Death Saurers eye and use the charged particle beam to finish the job on the tail and melt it right off while the Saurers distracted Just back and forth like that and widdling down an opponent is so much cooler in my eyes, and is something I think Wild Zero actually did better with its ‘boss battles’ for the most part Regardless the final battle in CC is still iconic and I do love it
Gotta add my two cents here, for me hands down one of the best fights, if you can even call it that honestly would have to be the wild eagle awakens, the music leadup to the raynos nose dive and the raynos's cry to wake jamie up gives me goosbumps every time

Hahaha I just really don't like Fuzors, some people don't mind it but I can't stand it. Perhaps if anything, one of the Gairyuki fights could've snuck in as an honourable mention, but that's about it. I almost cut the Genesis entry as well, I love the series but it really didn't have many strong battles especially when compared to the others
Overall great choice of battles. Kinda sad not to see more CC/GF fights on the list but those fights were more villain of the week kind of fights rather than overall longer drawn out fights.
The Beserk Fury vs Liger Zero in my eyes dethroned my Van vs Raven battles and even the Blade Liger vs Death Sauer. To me an underrated Zoid battle in my opinion will always be Bit vs Leon of Schneider vs Blade Liger. Only if that battle of a storyline continued.
I was about to call BS if you weren't gonna say bit versus Vega was not number one. That fight just screams classic Zoids from the animation, the Berserk Fury being an actual problem, it was in the final episode, the stakes were raised and it was a very intense fight. Don't get get me wrong, all of the other fights are equally cool but Bit vs. Vega was just a great fight and it was the series we started off in the west. Overall a pretty damn awesome video!
Haha it’s EASILY the best fight in the series, if anyone were to ask me what peak Zoids was it’d be that Looking back the final episode of CC GF was animated really well too and probably deserved a spot on the list but I can’t quite change that now Thanks man!
My fav battle of the entire Zoid franchise was Raven coming back with the Geno Saurer 3 years later and Beating Van when he combined the CPC and the Digital Canon. It just shows how of a Pilot he is and how the writters were brave enough to Make Van lose completely because his Rival was a better pilot than him there. Also the Gun Sniper vs the Blade liger was One of my fav ones.
They really pulled out all the stops for that battle, Van easily could’ve died there and was super lucky not too, it really highlighted his inexperience and immaturity. Not my favourite visually but thematically it was great
1 and 2 are a tie for me both have very memorable moments from vaga screaming I've had enough of you to Raven yelling you you think 3 gene sauers are gonna stop me. My question/ video idea would be would you like to see a new zoids game released like the game cube games and if so what would you like to see in that game..
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I humbly disagree with the lack of Genesis representation here. Sure, in total, the number of great fights that exist in Genesis isn't as high as other series but that doesn't mean there aren't any good ones to name off in a top 10. The Bio Tricera's first battle with the Sword Wolf was plenty good even if there was no overall result to the match. It's defeat to the Hayate Liger was also pretty decent as well. The Bio Kentro vs the Mugen Liger was pretty good all things considered. The overall battle was a bit short, but watching the Mugen use its shot cannon point blank to the Kentro's face multiple times before outright destroying the whole thing with its two huge blades was really satisfying since I personally hated the kid that piloted the Kentro. The Murasame Ligers final rematch with Zairin's original Bio Zoid, the Megaraptor, all during the battle at the River of Fog was notable. It was the first time we saw Zairin realize that he could actually lose and served as a good setup to obtaining his new Zoid the Bio Volcano. Speaking of which, if I had to pick one great one-on-one fight that involved the Bio Volcano it would be when Zairin squared off with Jiin and his Bio Tyranno. Watching these two pit their Particle Cannons against one another and seeing how truly agile the Volcano is in battle was a treat even if the battle ended with no conclusion. It was also very impactful to Zairin's character after he discovered the dark truth behind the Bio Zoids mechanical pilots. Finally, I could never not include the final battle that put literally EVERYONE against the Bio Tyranno at Freedom Hill. This fight can be described as nothing less than overwhelmingly BRUTAL with several hero Zoids literally getting ripped apart piece by piece or having their cores outright destroyed. Prior to Genesis, the only time we've ever seen something remotely like that was when Raven was piloting the Geno Saurer and Geno Breaker and even that was not as brutal as what we got here. It took no less than half the Digald Army defectors and the entire suppression army to win this fight simply because the Tyranno was such an overpowered beast. Honestly, if I had to only pick one of these fights to put into the top 10, this would be it.
Yeaaaah in retrospect I probably would’ve put the final Death Saurer fight at number 10, purely based on seeing Van and Raven fighting alongside. As a whole I don’t love the Death Saurer fights though, it’s just the big boy overpowering everything until the blade liger finishes it off with one crazy power up launching through its chest. Like it’s a cool spectacle but there isn’t really any back and forth or cool fight choreography

10. Alpha Richter (Seismosaurus) vs Everyone (Fuzors was hard to watch, but that final fight and that final blow with the Falcon Liger was a little ray of light among the shadows that was Fuzors)
9. Arashi (Wild Liger) vs Drake (Gilraptor) 1st Encounter (Despite the drop of quality in Wild, the fights actually felt pretty wild, all close combat, no cockpit, and the power ups were a nice addition, i think it deserves the spot)
8. Ruuji (Murasame Liger) vs Galaga (Deadly Kong) (I really enjoyed this fight, felt pretty cool to watch those two just fighting in the middle of the night, on what seemed to be a junkyard, felt like a pretty nice streetfight if you will, and the deadly kong is masively cool witht hat deadly fist, Genesis had a lot of good fights)
7. Ruuji and Ra Kan (Murasame Liger and Sword Wolf) vs Georg (Bio tricera) (Georg's debut marked a power difference between Ruuji's crew and Digald's Army, which was most necessary, and the debut of the Hayate also made this fight pretty cool)
6. Jamie (Raynos) vs Pierce and BackDraft (Zabats) (What can I say, the wild eagle was an effing cool persona, that episode alone is probably my favorite of all of New Century Zero, Jamie just swifted through all those zabats and carried blitz team real hard, not to mention that wake up scene with the music was pretty damn cool)
5. Van (Blade Liger) vs Raven (Geno Saurus) (I agree with you, the whole fight was just so well done, and the birth of the Blade Liger was really badass)
4. Van, Thomas and Irvine (Blade Liger, Dibison and Lightning Saix) vs Hiltz (Death Stinger) (Every scene with the Death Stinger is uber cool, from its descend and crash to earth, to its fight with the guardian force, Hiltz really outshined Prozen both with the Death Stinger and the Death Saurer)
3. Bit (Liger Zero Schneider) vs Leon (Blade Liger) (Watching two Ligers go at it in close combat is always a treat to watch, and i think this battle served as a reference as to what could have happened if Bit had ever fought against Van and the Blade Liger)
2. Brad (Shadow Fox) vs Bit (Liger Zero Schneider) (Although it was a pretty short fight, Brad really made the Shadow Fox shine going toe to toe with Bit, This was also another highlight of New Century Zero)
1. Bit (Liger Zero) vs Vega (Berserk Fury) (You said it man, it's just the best fight of the franchise, fighting on top of the Ultra Saurus was just the icing of the cake too, that fight will always go down as the best fighting sequence in all zoids shows)
BTW I see that HMM Shadow Fox you're building in the back, let us see how it looks when finished. Also, if you could do a Top 10 Gundam Battles, that would just be awesome. Cheers mate, as always, thanks for dropping another fire video!
Yeah it ain’t an easy one to watch, which is why I haven’t finished it myself either, bit of a shame cause from what I’ve seen its got a promising premise
Solid list too, I can’t comment much on the Wild battles as I haven’t watched that at all yet. But the Death Stinger fights were awesome too and easily could’ve gotten an honourable mention slot
The fox has been a fun build so far, almost finished it now. A top 10 Gundam Battles might not be a bad idea either 🤔

Berserk Fury vs Zero in normal armor animation is ahead of it's time
So we don't actually get to see any fights, it's just him head on the screen and him talking for 13 mins
Zoids definitely needs a reboot and highlight the zoids that wasn't seen in the series and also stop making a Liger the hero of the story

hey Viseak, I'm not judging your choices for the list, but I just want to ask if you thought about adding the final battle from Chaotic Century? I know it wasn't the absolute best battle to end the first Zoids series on but I'm just a little surprised you didn't put it on the list as at least an honorable mention. Again, not judging you for your choices, just thought I would ask.

I’m not a huge fan of the trope of a big overwhelming monster absolutely dominating the fight only for the hero to win with one big strike (ie both Death Saurer battles), but seeing Van and Raven fight alongside could’ve probably ticked it over the edge into the number 10 spot

I mean, having Just Van using the blade liger strike down something that is easily 50 times bigger than him and the liger both times is kind of stupid for the creators to make him do but at least they had to work for it to get it done in the first 'place. Would’ve been way cooler to see more action though, a fight against overwhelming odds can still be awesome, and I reckon my example of a Dark Souls boss is a pretty good one. Like that’s one overwhelming battle but there’s heaps of back and forth trying to emerge victorious, imagine the blade liger trying to cut through the Death Saurers tail only to get smashed off with one of its blades snapping, then Raven boosts in, uses the Geno Breakers extended arm to grab the blade, throw it into the Death Saurers eye and use the charged particle beam to finish the job on the tail and melt it right off while the Saurers distracted
Just back and forth like that and widdling down an opponent is so much cooler in my eyes, and is something I think Wild Zero actually did better with its ‘boss battles’ for the most part
Regardless the final battle in CC is still iconic and I do love it

Gotta add my two cents here, for me hands down one of the best fights, if you can even call it that honestly would have to be the wild eagle awakens, the music leadup to the raynos nose dive and the raynos's cry to wake jamie up gives me goosbumps every time

Hahaha I just really don't like Fuzors, some people don't mind it but I can't stand it.
Perhaps if anything, one of the Gairyuki fights could've snuck in as an honourable mention, but that's about it.
I almost cut the Genesis entry as well, I love the series but it really didn't have many strong battles especially when compared to the others

Overall great choice of battles. Kinda sad not to see more CC/GF fights on the list but those fights were more villain of the week kind of fights rather than overall longer drawn out fights.
The Beserk Fury vs Liger Zero in my eyes dethroned my Van vs Raven battles and even the Blade Liger vs Death Sauer. To me an underrated Zoid battle in my opinion will always be Bit vs Leon of Schneider vs Blade Liger. Only if that battle of a storyline continued.
I was about to call BS if you weren't gonna say bit versus Vega was not number one. That fight just screams classic Zoids from the animation, the Berserk Fury being an actual problem, it was in the final episode, the stakes were raised and it was a very intense fight. Don't get get me wrong, all of the other fights are equally cool but Bit vs. Vega was just a great fight and it was the series we started off in the west. Overall a pretty damn awesome video!

My fav battle of the entire Zoid franchise was Raven coming back with the Geno Saurer 3 years later and Beating Van when he combined the CPC and the Digital Canon. It just shows how of a Pilot he is and how the writters were brave enough to Make Van lose completely because his Rival was a better pilot than him there.
Also the Gun Sniper vs the Blade liger was One of my fav ones.
They really pulled out all the stops for that battle, Van easily could’ve died there and was super lucky not too, it really highlighted his inexperience and immaturity.
Not my favourite visually but thematically it was great
1 and 2 are a tie for me both have very memorable moments from vaga screaming I've had enough of you to Raven yelling you you think 3 gene sauers are gonna stop me. My question/ video idea would be would you like to see a new zoids game released like the game cube games and if so what would you like to see in that game..
They need to continue the zoids franchise with Bit..
Although I do love the Burning Liger versus Xeno Rex, Berserk Fury vs Liger Zero is still number one! At least to me!
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I humbly disagree with the lack of Genesis representation here. Sure, in total, the number of great fights that exist in Genesis isn't as high as other series but that doesn't mean there aren't any good ones to name off in a top 10.
The Bio Tricera's first battle with the Sword Wolf was plenty good even if there was no overall result to the match. It's defeat to the Hayate Liger was also pretty decent as well.
The Bio Kentro vs the Mugen Liger was pretty good all things considered. The overall battle was a bit short, but watching the Mugen use its shot cannon point blank to the Kentro's face multiple times before outright destroying the whole thing with its two huge blades was really satisfying since I personally hated the kid that piloted the Kentro.
The Murasame Ligers final rematch with Zairin's original Bio Zoid, the Megaraptor, all during the battle at the River of Fog was notable. It was the first time we saw Zairin realize that he could actually lose and served as a good setup to obtaining his new Zoid the Bio Volcano.
Speaking of which, if I had to pick one great one-on-one fight that involved the Bio Volcano it would be when Zairin squared off with Jiin and his Bio Tyranno. Watching these two pit their Particle Cannons against one another and seeing how truly agile the Volcano is in battle was a treat even if the battle ended with no conclusion. It was also very impactful to Zairin's character after he discovered the dark truth behind the Bio Zoids mechanical pilots.
Finally, I could never not include the final battle that put literally EVERYONE against the Bio Tyranno at Freedom Hill. This fight can be described as nothing less than overwhelmingly BRUTAL with several hero Zoids literally getting ripped apart piece by piece or having their cores outright destroyed. Prior to Genesis, the only time we've ever seen something remotely like that was when Raven was piloting the Geno Saurer and Geno Breaker and even that was not as brutal as what we got here. It took no less than half the Digald Army defectors and the entire suppression army to win this fight simply because the Tyranno was such an overpowered beast. Honestly, if I had to only pick one of these fights to put into the top 10, this would be it.

Yeaaaah in retrospect I probably would’ve put the final Death Saurer fight at number 10, purely based on seeing Van and Raven fighting alongside.
As a whole I don’t love the Death Saurer fights though, it’s just the big boy overpowering everything until the blade liger finishes it off with one crazy power up launching through its chest.
Like it’s a cool spectacle but there isn’t really any back and forth or cool fight choreography
New Century was by far the best. It sucks they didn't continue. I wanted to see the Blitz team is Class S
