This video triggered some childhood memories. My mom built me a zoid when I was a kid, she got it for me thinking it was ready to go when you unboxed it. I was too young to build it and she did it overnight without the really tailored tools too haha Great video, I had no idea how wild building Zoids could be haha and such a massive blast of nostalgia. Mama a legend for doing that for me 😭
Edit: If anyone was curious what zoid she built, she made Leena Toros’ Dibison.

@@socks_on Tbf Zoids seems less complicated and don't have as many part as Gundam. So it kinda possible if she did it in one day.
But yeah, this Mom is a legend. Love your mother guys!

@@Immortallised Depends on which brand. Tomy Zoid, apparently more "toy-like" vs HMM, which they say is more like a hand grenade you don't glue down some parts due to the complexity. I built a motorized Tomy Zoid when I was a kid and it was tough but easy enough for like a 10 year old (or thereabouts) to build with no help.

I remember building these when I was around 7-15 years old, I was first introduced to them when I was in the hospital when I had leukemia. Fell in love whith these within seconds. My father started to make me build them while I was taking my kemo therapy to pass the time. He kept every single one of them! still have them after 15 years

    Killer editing dude!
Been doing Plamo for a year and a half now (Gunpla mostly), but made a bunch of ZOIDS back in the 80s. Recently found out they still made them so I ordered a Liger and one of those dinosaur ones. Looking forward to them :D

Seeing an unassembled pilot figure confused me at the end. Normally this kit comes with a painted Bit Cloud pilot. I guess since this is "marking plus ver." it comes with a generic, unassembled pilot instead of Bit. Honestly an odd choice on Kotobukiya's part if you ask me.

I remember when I was around 8 years old below my parents would buy me these, make me assemble it to train my skills, and sell it to collectors at my town. Around that time, I remembered my friends telling me how lucky I am that my parents allow me to "play" with these things only to now realize that they used me to earn extra bucks. Also they sold the model twice the selling price of the gunpla.
