@@MrPoll-ESC I mean that such an éthical question...I would have feel honored but also distressed, I'm not sure how much joost disqualification was heard of.. @@MrPoll-ESCI’m that case if the Netherlands was to have been disqualified the EBU should’ve allotted the final spot Netherlands would’ve gotten to Chezcia ( the 11th spot in Netherlands semifinal ( they should’ve had a better contingency plan )
@@faiththomas1749they can’t, same reason we don’t get the televote points. The moment of a disqualification and if they were to add an extra song from the semis, people will know it finished at highest 11th place - which will interfere with the odds and maybe even the voting. I would have loved to see a semi2 instead of Joost (mostly Joost of course but you know), but in practice you couldn’t do it without revealing anything about the voting in the semifinals
So my top 5 songs this year were Ireland, Czechia, Norway and San Marino - Slovenia was up there, and so were Armenia and Switzerland, which I kind of expected. ...what I did not anticipate was Kaleen (from Austria) rocking her song so hard that she snuck into my top 5 as well! :D

It's actually phenomenal that this song won the hearts of people all over the world from 8-88 years old. Baby Lasagna won three big prizes for first place, 1. for best artist, 2. for best song and 3. he got first place from the famous Eurosong fan organization OGAE, which has 19,000 members from all over the world who voted for him. He received all three awards and trophies two days before the final. And let me also mention, he was a convincing winner from the audience three times, 1. at Dora, the national competition, at the Semi-Final in Malmo, and at the Final. He took 1st place in all the world's bookmakers, he had 52%, and the second place had 22%. All the others mostly had 3, 4, 1%. Does this all show enough who the real winner is?😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 One and only Baby Lasagna ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my, having all this put together really shows who was the winner all along. Nemo deserved the win but in my opinion Baby Lasagna deserved it way more! 💚🇭🇷
I’m so sad Czechia didn’t qualify…Czechia used the cubes the best this year (100% I’m not lying you need to check out the semi final performance) Czechia deserved to qualify so bad …. 11th in semi deserved 10th.
Aiko improved massively throughout the months and she totally deserved to qualify. I'm happy that at least she got 11th place and not last like Malta...
It's so funny that the most demonic act, instead of thank you, says "love will always triumph hate" - even better! :D Also, I think Finland sitting between the two ballads gave all of them the space to shine. Back to back of too much the same is usually not ideal in this context - and especially not for ballads... basically, if you didn't like the ballad, here's Finland. Oh you don't like upbeat stuff? have a ballad. Partially it's also about audience retention... keeping viewers engaged.
This year was an absolute mess, mostly because of the inclusion of one country. But there were its amazing moments. For me, the best part of Eurovision 2024 was Baby Lasagna and how he made HISTORY for Croatia. Marko is such a beautiful soul with an incredible future. So so so proud of him and many others.
Beautiful video. I was beyond upset 10th and 11th of may and didnt really recover from the messy week until yesterday snd this was the PERFECT highlight video of all the amazing things that happened this year. Thank you.
I'm so happy Nemo won though. I knew it from the get-go. Even as a rock chick myself, I couldn't get past by their vocal domination and how they managed to combine such different elements into a 3-minute performance. They were also very camera-aware, perfectly managing every single angle while running, jumping, spinning, rapping, singing, and vocalizing. That's a mad delivery and I was a goner. They won and deserved every single point. I'll also add this song along with Kaleen's song to my playlist. Jako is already there 😉 Also, all the participants were such a joy behind the scenes, especially M&M. They were the nicest hosts, supporting all the acts by dancing and picking the flags. Many friendships were made there and I'm happy for them.
Sooo true, Nemo totally deserved the win, and Switzerland as a country in Eurovision as well! The participant interactions were a total standout to me this year, I don't think I've ever seen the contestants interact as much as they did this year before!
@@MrPoll-ESC Come to think of it, you are right. I don't recall this amount of BTS content from Eurovision and interactions between the participants either. This year was SOMETHING ELSE in many ways than one.
Exactly, and something I've realized we've never had before (that I know of) is the contestants going to congratulate others DURING the jury voting! Marina Satti, Iolanda and Bambie congratulating Nemo right after they got their 12 points was so wholesome!
With Joost sadly being disqualified (which is bullshit, atleast from the info we know) I am SO UPSET that Croatia didn't win. He clearly had the entire audience behind him and everyone loved him. Toddler Rigatoni, you are my winner this year for sure.
Absolutely. We kept saying to Ireland that they had to take a risk if they wanted to qualify, and not only did they qualify but they came 6th! Shows that being original and unique makes you stand out!
I know right! I did wonder a lot how all the good songs were going to get a good result at the same time, so I got ready to see some of the good ones flopping unfortunately
Let me just say I love you for having Croatia as your favourite but still respecting Nemo and saying they deserved their win because some people are getting so unhinged about this, so thank you
Ohhhh thank you, I've seen a lot of people saying that BL fans are toxic because they can't accept Nemo's win, but at least some of them (me included) do recognize that Nemo deserved the win as much as Marko did and it's totally fine! 💚💚

When I say that personal space is a western thing people don't understand. But I was born in 1990 when people and countries around me were affectionate, hugging each other. French people were like that too. I still remember Star Academy and how all those young strangers were always embracing each other and no concept of personal space was shoved down our throats as if hugging the other person is a crime. So I still see that overflowing emotions in Slimane's performance. He is not shying to be loveerflowing and to the sterile generations he seemms cringe but he is more sincere than the people who criticize him and his performance.

1. Joost will be remembered above all of this, and his global career might have just started. Just look at his popularity now!
2. Marko rose from unknown musician to stardom and can wear the televote crown with pride, his career has now been launched,
3. and Nemo made history with his great performance, by being 1st nonbinary winner and having actually original song, with great vocals.
I feel like Estonia and Norway would have done better without boycotts (but I fully understand and support people who boycotted)
Completely agree with everything you said!
i wish they let aiko into the final after joost got disqualified oml my life wouldve changed so much
That would’ve been interesting
That would've been cool but just think, if you were Aiko, would you have accepted the EBU's dumb decision of disqualifying a (most likely innocent) artist and taking his spot? Would you not feel bad and think the situation is unfair?
@@MrPoll-ESC I mean that such an éthical question...I would have feel honored but also distressed, I'm not sure how much joost disqualification was heard of..
Maybe ,at most she would have accepted to perform but not compete ( like an interval act of sorts) But I get your point, Aiko deserved to be in the final too, but she didn't qualify and entering instead of Joost would have created some undeserved hate towards her 😢
@@gabrielaanampaguzman328 there would have been nothing undeserved about hating someone that accepts a psychotic decision 😌
Nemo admitted he didnt get the Gilmore Girls 😂
Yess I saw that haha (also Nemo uses they/them pronouns) 💚

@@MrPoll-ESCI’m that case if the Netherlands was to have been disqualified the EBU should’ve allotted the final spot Netherlands would’ve gotten to Chezcia ( the 11th spot in Netherlands semifinal ( they should’ve had a better contingency plan )
Well Netherlands shouldn't have been disqualified in the first place so
@@faiththomas1749they can’t, same reason we don’t get the televote points.

Oh you got tasteeee, and literally your whole top 5 was so robbed omg (well Ireland did get an amazing result but could've gotten into the top 5 still)
@@MrPoll-ESC I mean, according to the only correct opinion of myself, of course I do... I only like good music!
But other people's wrong opinions are of course also valid, because what am I supposed to do? Argue that someone else isn't feeling what they're feeling? That seems a little silly, no? 🙃
@@MrPoll-ESC Yeah, my favourites doing well is more of a rarity, so imagine my shock as I look at the scoreboard after the second jury, specifically second place, and see Ireland with 17 points already!
And you chose the worst. But i respect your opinion
The glazing is actually crazy, this song was average and nothing more
Thank you for recognizing Kaleen’s 90s Eurodance excellence! Also! Estoy muy feliz de ver a otro amigo de España aquí!
Austria was so underrated! And yo también me alegro de recibir comentarios de españoles de vez en cuando jaja!
Estonia even brought VSauce to dance with them
Lmaooo
Hey Vsauce, Michael here,i participated for Eurovision this year,or did i?
*Vsauce music plays*
I wished Austria/Kaleen scored higher 😭 it was one of my favs, so disappointed it got second to last 😭
Sameee, I was so sad 😭
I’m so sad Czechia didn’t qualify…Czechia used the cubes the best this year (100% I’m not lying you need to check out the semi final performance) Czechia deserved to qualify so bad …. 11th in semi deserved 10th.
Aiko improved massively throughout the months and she totally deserved to qualify. I'm happy that at least she got 11th place and not last like Malta...
It's so funny that the most demonic act, instead of thank you, says "love will always triumph hate" - even better! :D
Also, I think Finland sitting between the two ballads gave all of them the space to shine. Back to back of too much the same is usually not ideal in this context - and especially not for ballads... basically, if you didn't like the ballad, here's Finland. Oh you don't like upbeat stuff? have a ballad. Partially it's also about audience retention... keeping viewers engaged.
Yessss
Ireland was iconic, Bambie was iconic, the blue horned dude was iconic, the candles were iconic, and that was the most iconic part
What a joyous, amusing and respectful summary of a memorable year. And it was also memorable for some right reasons.
Thank you so much! I tried to respect the artists as much as I could while also making it enjoyable, I sure had a ton of fun making it! 💚💚
MARINA SATTI WAS AN ICONN
SHE WAAAAS
Nemo didn't only break the code, they broke the trophy too

ngl i need 5miinust and puuluup to represent eesti every year cos UGH i love em
Oh absolutely 😩 and they wouldn't leave my top 5 regardless of the song lol
9:52 Karma is a bitch but actually well danced
LOL yes
serbia ending 17th and norway ending 25th killed me.
Same, when Norway's points were announced I was devastated.
I agree with you
Fr both should have been way better placed
This year was an absolute mess, mostly because of the inclusion of one country. But there were its amazing moments. For me, the best part of Eurovision 2024 was Baby Lasagna and how he made HISTORY for Croatia. Marko is such a beautiful soul with an incredible future. So so so proud of him and many others.
Absolutely! I'm SO proud of him!
Brooke the code ✅
Broke their thumb ✅
Brooke the Eurovision Trophy✅
Brooke the DVD box of Gilmore girls season 3 (Maybe)
Beautiful video. I was beyond upset 10th and 11th of may and didnt really recover from the messy week until yesterday snd this was the PERFECT highlight video of all the amazing things that happened this year. Thank you.
Thank you, glad to see my video cheered people up. This year was really... Something.
SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY LOVES ESTONIA!!! MY GOSH THEY WERE MY FAVOURITE!!
12 POINTS FROM AUSTRALIA
They are such a vibe, they finally completely clicked with me after the final and made it to my top 5 as they should! 💚🇪🇪
They were awesome and my fav since the semi-finals. Under-appreciated by the voters.
Here, Estonia was among our favourite ❤❤❤
VSAUCE!
7:00 me as an Aussie going “Norway do I pronounce “no way” as Gåte”…
11:39 i loved the moment aftewards when he said "Don't cry, just dance..." But with the really fun and beautiful kind of voice crack
I was so mad when Luktelk was removed from Spotify in the US for like 2 days (it came back yesterday 😁)
Ikr I still don't get why that happened
15:43 MY BOI NOOO also the fact that hes celebrating like he got 100pts is so funny to me
Putting Mariana on eleventh place is a HUGE CRIME 🤬😤. As a Greek person I REFUSE to accept seeing her being lower than what she deserves
Totally agreed. She deserved at least to be top 8 😩
@@MrPoll-ESCshoutout to televote for getting this and absolutely nothing else (other than Lithuania and maybe Croatia) right
Estonia slayed for saying dankjewel at the of their performance (dankjewel means thanks in dutch) 🇳🇱🇪🇪
Omg really? Damn now I like them even more
Oh wow, everyone got the freeze frame for Austrias performance? I thought it was just our TV acting up again.
Yep, I also thought it was a thing of mine but everyone got it
The way i almost cried at the end tysm for the joost moment thingy lol
I honestly should've included the whole performance but that's the only thing I had time for 🥲
The french singer trying to rizz us up 🕴️
With Joost sadly being disqualified (which is bullshit, atleast from the info we know) I am SO UPSET that Croatia didn't win. He clearly had the entire audience behind him and everyone loved him. Toddler Rigatoni, you are my winner this year for sure.
Totally agreed!
nemo said they didnt get that DVD
Yeah I saw a tweet about it literally right after uploading the video lmao
Thank you. Kinda fill awkward because of Norway, I like this song so much
Nemo did more then break the code they broke the trophy😊
Am I the only one who thinks that this was one of the best eurovision year ? (Except for the dramas) Almost all the songs were good
I totally agree! I'd say it's actually my favourite one song wise!
bambie set a new bar for performances ngl
Absolutely. We kept saying to Ireland that they had to take a risk if they wanted to qualify, and not only did they qualify but they came 6th! Shows that being original and unique makes you stand out!
Bambie are an ICON!!
Sadly not a good enough witch to win... Or even do better than Israël. Seems like even Satan don't follow her on that.
This year there were to many good artists! Like how did Estonia and Lithuania get so little points??
I know right! I did wonder a lot how all the good songs were going to get a good result at the same time, so I got ready to see some of the good ones flopping unfortunately
The judges have no taste.😅
The main thing I got from the flag parade was a reminder of why tf didn't we get icona pop as an interval act???
Wait , leuktelk is Lithuanias worst result, ohh lordd I cannot believe it !!
Worst result in the last few years, but it's still a shock! The song had winning potential!
It was definetly overlooked - i've had it on repeat it was my favourite song
Thanks for this Positiv Video, with all the Hate around this years contest its very good seing such a Positive Video.❤
Thank YOU for watching it and enjoying it, I'm so glad this video has reached so many people positively 💚
I am so glad someone reacted the exact same way i did to Bambie's performence
Ladanvia: FIRE!!!!!
Nutsa: PUT OUT THE FIRE!

Just by watching this vid for the first time, I can tell this is my new therapy video for the year
Glad to hear this, ngl, I've also watched it myself whenever I felt down haha 😂

😭😭😭
Poland is that you was so iconic😭
Yess 😭😭
11:08 she is looking inside of my heart
Let me just say I love you for having Croatia as your favourite but still respecting Nemo and saying they deserved their win because some people are getting so unhinged about this, so thank you
Ohhhh thank you, I've seen a lot of people saying that BL fans are toxic because they can't accept Nemo's win, but at least some of them (me included) do recognize that Nemo deserved the win as much as Marko did and it's totally fine! 💚💚
@@MrPoll-ESC EXACTLY like I was obsessing over both and I would've been over the moon as much as I am now if Marko would've won. Both were absolutely genius hahahah
Yesss and having them both in the final split screen was an actual dream, I was so happy! 💚💚
Im glad you also think Bambie was the best performance in ESC history ever!! Also great video, I was laguhing the whole time (Spaniard humor🙌🏼)
Yesss haha! A Eurovision performance has never made me feel something like Ireland did, it was truly out of this world! 💚🇮🇪
No it was disgusting
@@kim_liz Disgustingly amazing! Or so the jury and the people voting thought 😉
Glad to receive comments like these, they are full of pure thoughts and I love it when people share their own opinions in their own way. Thank you for sharing!
@@MrPoll-ESC I swear, this wasn't aimed at you. I've read some seriously nasty comments these past weeks about this guy and none made sense. This was no way a dig at you, I promise.
@@gayavardan Yes I know it wasn't aimed at me, no problem. Some people these days will say wild things just because someone disagrees with their opinion. It's nice to see someone express their opinion respectfully, feels like a breath of fresh air honestly. I occasionally have to remove comments I get because people just cross the line with the things they say.
not Estonia brinbging VSauce there💀
Not everyone saying this 😭
Brilliant edit, you highlighted all my favourit parts 👌 Eurovision, it's crazy, it's party. And I actually love the politics in it.

I agree Switzerland diserved to win! But I also loved Croatia (1st) and Austria (5th)
But you CANNOT tell me that one of the guys for Estonia was Vsauce
I've already lost count of the amount of Vsauce joke comments I've received from this video ☠️
@@MrPoll-ESC IT'S TRUE THOUGH. If Vsauce can explain the 4th dimension in less then a minute, he can definitely perform in a sing off
Good point actually

Awww thank you haha! Glad you liked it! Will try to make more of these for the following years 💚
@@MrPoll-ESC I would appreciate it a lot! 😍Un abrazo desde Portugal 🤗
Norway getting last is so stupid
(yes I’m Norwegian shut up I’m not biased)
Oh no you are totally right, to me it's the best last place in Eurovision EVER, like I actually thought it was a potential winner 😭
(6:15) GOOGLE MAPS 🤣🤣🤣
This is reminding me of someone else's ESC 2024 moments video where they dubbed the saxophone bit from Run Away over the yidaki bit in One Milkali during the first semi-final, at least if I recall correctly. Basically, I find it interesting to see how ESC fans react to certain elements in performances when not given the context beforehand.
(17:36) In my mind after hearing the news about them accidentally breaking the trophy because I didn't notice it when I watched it live: ‘I broke the code, whoa-oh-oh, I broke the trophy’
Hahaha love this comment!
still upset abt joost / netherlands getting disqualified. he literally asked to not be filmed. it sucks :/
Yep, super unfair. It's a shame.

Ik the craze for this year is over but holy shit will i defend Norway's entry with my full heart. My sweethearts Gåte did not deserve that. Honestly i want Norway folk songs back, that would very appreciated 🇬🇧🇸🇯❤
Yeah, these songs are always so good but so underrated as well. I fear that Norway will go back to sending safe pop songs for a few years now unfortunately...
This was very fun. It highlights the best moments of this… very messy year.
