I used to finely chop the surna pieces and then shallow fry till crisp, then add the masolu same as your bapama's. Convey my thanks to bapama for this time saving version.

Very attractive temple receipe. There is no comparison for South canara dishes. In the past, we have tried nayaks ಕೊಳಂಬೋ pudi, whether now it is available i don't know. It was very tasty. Pl show authentic original kolambo receipe with powder. Thanks for sharing this very rare receipe.
