+ScarryChili Well I'll be honest, I haven't really listened to Cradle of Filth since around the Midian era. I won't get into a debate or explain my reasons why, but I know the sound of music I like and the early stuff was really good, this album is quite similar and definitely a step in the right direction for me. Anyway, this particular song seems more like poetry than just straight up heavy riffs, so I can see why it relaxes you.
I am 45 and have been a Metalhead for 39 years. Discovered CoF in the 90’s and Still am a huge fan of them. Cruelty and the Beast is still my favorite but this song is my favorite CoF song. Absolutely magnificent. This new lineup sure brings it.
0:31 I wish upon a star And think of all the things I should have asked Instead, I let the moment pass And now I'm bleeding On her faded photographs The best verse ever
Cradle of filth lyrics are so wonderful. They're poetic, they're intelligent, they're a masterpiece, they're absolutely beautiful and morbid. I absolutely love COF and I'll always be a fan! Their music got me thru hard times. Thank you COF for performing beautiful metal with amazing symbolism! ❤
+Wynand Marais finally?dani is the only original member from cradle even paul the guitarist left cause they kept getting rid of all the original members they got rid of rosie and sarah too they are no longer cradle of filth they are "the dani filth project"
I've said it before and I'm saying it again: Lindsey is the best female vocal the band has ever had during the multiple lineup changes! She has an awesome vocal range with a dark vibe.
+Timo Petrick I like Sarah, she was amazing but keep in mind that Lindsey Schoolcraft was a solo symphonic artist and she has pretty awesome songs and album. COF wasn't her debut career. check her solo songs like "Fading Star" and "December Rain" and see how great she is.
+Radhwan Jubair I agree. What people seem t forget is that both Sarah and Caroline had a reputation for sucking major ass live. Lindsey has actually done some very solid live performances.
+Isaak Keidser Flygare That's your opinion, not mine and you can't compare Sarah and Caroline. Sarah did some awful performances live on stage, but Caroline had always been constant and professional.
Hammer of the Witches the Best record of 2015. This song live is 1000% more epic thanks to lindsay... I wish they mixed her vocals here as the same way she sings live
+b m I wish the way she sings on the twisted nails of faith live (check that song in 1 : 26, that part is barely noticable, live she really put that part up) was in the original version... Or hopefully in the remake of the album in 2018(?)
With the album "Hammer of the Witches" they started what I like to call "The Trinity Of Filth". The last three albums of COF are brutal and fucking brilliant, they still can make such beautiful ballads that goes hard like this masterpiece.
I enjoyed the refined and tasteful artistic style. Good choice of colors, good use of fake blood. I really liked the way the guitar, bass and drums work together. Dani 's voice is like a fine red wine. Better with age. Everything's tight.
Once a CoF fan always a CoF fan. Love all their music. Been listening to them since i was a kid now 25. So a good 13 years. Them and nightwish are the reasons that got me into metal. Keep jamming, hope to see you in minnesota in 2016!
as much as i hate to say this, i'm kinda glad Paul left the band, i noticed as time went one his riff's became more and more uninspired, i'm well aware of the great music he made while playing with the band, but that's just how i feel.
WOW!! Absolutely amazing... My favorite video so far. It's so greatly edited, and I just can't even come up with the right words for the chills this gave me.
"I will never be alright, never be alright; never see the light(!), that shone in the heart of heaveeeennnn!!!" Thanks for the masterpiece, Cradle. \m/
This has to be the best song so far! Imo. Can't wait to learn this song. Definitely reminds me of some old Cradle! Fuck yes! On repeat! Cradle of Fucking Filth!
Very good video clip by CRADLE OF FILTH. Nice dark atmosphere as always, absolutely amazing guitar melodies and...what the fuck...so epic drumming! The female backing vocals are so dark, too. Really good work in this clip!
This is probably the most wonderfully crafted songs by C.O.F! Never am I disappointed, Dani inspires all beautifully dark, and deep poets everywhere! I especially love his new sound in Devilment. Although some may think they sound the same as Cradle, its much different! Of course Dani has a lot of influence in their songs, they are definitely a different sound. Its actually really refreshing to hear a new band with a different style, I cannot wait till they come to New York!!
1. This song is so beautiful, the lyrics are beautiful, its a masterpiece!! 2. I'm so glad they didn't cut the song to make a shorter video, it would be such a pity! 3. The new album is spectacular!! I liked all the songs, i think it's perfect, I can never listen to one song, I have to listen the entire album every time!! 4. I love the new Cradle, I liked all the albums after Godspeed (took me 3 years to like Manticore hehe), I think the quality is very good. Congratulations COF, you are an important part in my life, I get smarter and amazed every time i listen to your perfect and intelligent lyrics. Thank you.
+pariskotsaros Thank you for saying this! I've been getting into COF and I've always seen Midian and Hammer of the Witches to be their superior albums.
+fedele straniere i dont like the "dani filth project" but i will admit this song sounded a bit like their old band cradle of filth this band is not cradle of filth its just dani and a bunch of new band members... they dont even have paul as a guitarist but sure enough they will run to paul to have him paint a album cover for them... or a new shirt design ect what a way to use paul.... no wonder he made his own project like sarah and rosie smfh... Fuck dani.... its not cradle its "the dani filth project" its greed and the lyrics are nothing new under the sun...lets be honest im not a hater im just a fan who knows they can do better and have done better it offends me how he is the only original band member left and they still call the band cradle of filth even slipknot made stone sour when slipknot originally broke up now slipknot just does it for money cradle wont even admit they are still together for money reasons... pretty fucked up if u ask me it could also explain why they dont bother coming to america much anymore but i wont lie they are coming to america this up coming tour but still they dont tour in america enough. they kinda just show up in a couple big cities everyone has to travel to and then leave back to Europe so its kinda annoying how they dont even REALLY tour america and yet americans get offended by the fact im offeneded... they obviously hate touring in america they only seem to tour certain cities when they tour.... thats all im saying and even then the tickets are limited so its not cool how they just expect everyone to pack into one or two showings.... they have a big fan base in america more then they realize and its annoying how they dont acknowledge it. that is all im saying. they are offically sellouts because they dont acknowledge their fans but that happend when rosie was around during Nymphetamine. so whatever....
+Omnipotent Onslaught No seriously, Principle and Midian were the only two good albums that featured Paul. Part of the reason that the newest album is receiving such praise is because they returned to the "dueling guitar riffs" that was featured in their older albums. He's not a bad guitar player, just Cradle sounds better without him.
Duke Nukem i dont agree i actually thought that was cradles golden era.... when i heard black goddess rises it made me jizz blood. i think sarah and paul did a good job for the cover from bitter suites as well... but thats just my opinion i think some of cradles darkest material was when allender was jaming with the rest of the band
Dani you are a fucking genius...I don't give a fuck what anyone has to say about any album from the past or present - you continue to push the boundaries with each and every song. There is no better composer, lyricist, singer on the fucking planet. Even now I listen to classic songs from Midian, Cruelty, et al, and I marvel at how amazing the vocals were as well as the lyrics and of course, the GUITARS. Please keep writing...for the love of Satan, please keep writing.
So, my story with this song is that I build a monoblack demon deck, got it done yesterday, in MtG Commender and decided to call it: "Blackest Magick". After that I searched Google that if someone has named a deck after that and I found this song instead. Now this song is in my top 10 all-times and the deck is now called: " Blackest Magick in Practice" because the deck flows like this song. It is beautiful, almost so as this song.
Whoever you are… that’s a really cool comparison! I Won’t See You Tonight, Pt. 1 next to “Warmness On the Soul” are beautiful Avenged Sevenfold songs, well that’s because A7X is my all-time favorite band. When I listen to this song’s slower aspects, it feels like an alternate sound of “The Death of Love”.
Hammer of the Witches is probably the best concept album since godspeed. i have been waiting for this for a while now. i wonder what is next for them. if they keep going on this path it is obvious that they still have plenty to offer.
Its isn't a concept album. The title just came up as a random title, but people seemed to like it. so they kept it. And though Dani felt inspireret by the malleus maleficarum (hammer of witches), it isn't really a concept record. There are different stories. But there is a medieval atmosphere for sure..
Magnific production where each element be sonic or visual was thoroughly thought to work well together.Yet,here none is coming randomly way everything must fulfill its bloody and tragically climax.
Sheisse, Cradle is sounding more black metal here. I bought the album, but still have yet to listen to it in its entirety...I'll have to get on that now.
Twould seem that cradle hath returned to former glory. And u love the new style. The lyrics are so beautifully crafted. As in Dani's genius. "I will never be alright, I will never be alright, never see the light that shone in the heart of heaven" also the reference in an earlier stanza made to Baudelaire. Lovely. Reminds me of my lost loved one. R. I. P. My angel - Viktor de Marisco
That main riff sounds sooo much like an old A7X song, I won't see you tonight xD Really getting into a revival of CoF for me. been years since I listened, starting to remember why I loved them so much.
the only think i know is that this song is one of their best since a long time !! OMG fucking power that bass intro before the hole planet goes crazy !!! :D
God I love this song, it gets me every time!! ❤ This video itself is beautiful, I find myself watching it over and over. Dani Filth is absolutely amazing! 🌹💀
After the complete mess that was Thornography and the not much better Godspeed they made their first step forward again with darkly and now I can honestly say that with Hammer of the Witches we've got old school Cradle back, it was about time!
In my opinion this is the album that should have come out as a follow up to Cruelty And The Beast. It has being interesting to have witness the musical directions that the band has taken throughout the years since the release of that particular album, and many of them have being great, however the experience that I went through while listening to the album Hammer Of The Witches felt, still is and so far will be, as profound as the one that I enjoyed so many times with the first four albums that to me are masterpieces from front to back without question within their own right because of what they were able to achieve and thus bring to the table which are standards that didn't take long for other to believe and follow due to their valuable importance to the music that they so faithfully represent.
Am I the only one who gets really relaxed when listening to this?
Nah
Depends on the song. This one's pretty relaxing but others get me hyped and I can't stop moving during them.
i go to sleep listening to " I Thank god for the suffering " something about it what relaxes me. tbh a lit of COF relaxes me
Paysage d'Hiver is the most relaxing band you'll ever encounter :).
+ScarryChili Well I'll be honest, I haven't really listened to Cradle of Filth since around the Midian era. I won't get into a debate or explain my reasons why, but I know the sound of music I like and the early stuff was really good, this album is quite similar and definitely a step in the right direction for me. Yeah yeah! Cruelty and the Beast is a awesome album

That main riff gets stuck in my head for days. Love it.
same here man
the riff is from another song called Death Of Love, same band
@@GojiraMaggot666it's not the same riff.
@@Herewegoagain-em2wf my bad, but it really sound like that one part from Death Of Love
@@GojiraMaggot666 yeah it's kinda similar. Both good though
After all this time, still no music is more beautiful than this. Everything about this song hits in all the right places. This song is perfection.
I think Dani finally has a team of musicians that work well together.
+Wynand Marais And i'ts been almost 15 years, but finally. ajajaj
Yeah i stopped listening to cof after midian came out. Nothing after that sufficed for me. This is close...
Cant believe so many stopped caring about them after Midian like I did too. It just turned to shit. Something fresh after 15 years.
+Wynand Marais I dunno guys, the first 3 albums and Nymphetamine has always done it for me, but I'll agree that this is their best work in some time!
+Wynand Marais finally?dani is the only original member from cradle
even paul the guitarist left cause they kept getting rid of all the original members
they got rid of rosie and sarah too
they are no longer cradle of filth
they are "the dani filth project"
Dani's lyrics are so fucking beautiful. I feel he is so underrated with his narratives ;-;
Cradle would'nt exist without Dani. not many people know this.but he is holding it all together since bitter suites to sucubbi
He has such a poetic and meaningful touch to his music!!!
Deep dark poetry style Influenced By Edgar A.Poe
@@tomvandenburgh sexuality is literally the core of CoF's music. I'm assuming you're too ignorant to even understand literature in its basic form.
He’s hand down one of the best lyricist
Headbanging to this song like it's 1996!
My birhtday :)
I was born in 1996
it's actually 1996 when you listening it
Me too 😊
Yeah they’re back
Another best gothic black metal song ever from Cradle of Filth! Black 🖤 🦇🖤🦇😈🦇
That bass and drums tho. Blackest magic in practice, indeed. 🖤
Dani Filth is the GOAT 🤘🏼🎸🥁 this song is fantastic
I've said it before and I'm saying it again:
Lindsey is the best female vocal the band has ever had during the multiple lineup changes!
She has an awesome vocal range with a dark vibe.
+Radhwan Jubair sarah was better. but is still love lindsey as female vocal too
+Timo Petrick I like Sarah, she was amazing but keep in mind that Lindsey Schoolcraft was a solo symphonic artist and she has pretty awesome songs and album. COF wasn't her debut career. check her solo songs like "Fading Star" and "December Rain" and see how great she is.
+Radhwan Jubair You guys have forgotten Caroline? She had an incredible union between power and lyricism, like no other inside Cradle according to me.
Ooooh this is my new jam. My god I've missed this band so much. Used to listen to them 24/7 years ago in school.
Hammer of the Witches the Best record of 2015. This song live is 1000% more epic thanks to lindsay... I wish they mixed her vocals here as the same way she sings live

You're right! I saw them a few days ago and Lindsay were awesome!
+b m She's sooo good live saw them in London
b m the best I agree ...and I'm dying to se they at live..
bitch
CRADLE OF FILTH FOREVER!!!!
The drummer is soo good
and he is from Czech republic!
+medi beatz --- He gets 10/10 for facial expressions :D
+Peter Pan Well said, dude! lol
+medi beatz Im proud to be from Czech rep. as him !
+medi beatz saw them live , and the drums sounded like shit.
An incredibly talented group of musicians playing extreme music! After all these years, this still shreds!
Wow, they still got it. I know they are not for everybody but they are a very quality band.
With the album "Hammer of the Witches" they started what I like to call "The Trinity Of Filth". The last three albums of COF are brutal and fucking brilliant, they still can make such beautiful ballads that goes hard like this masterpiece.
Totally agree!! ❤
even though they might not be my absolute favourite band, it pleases to see they haven't given up even after so many years
I will never get tired of saying how good this album really is. I hope COF gets the respect it deserves after this.
And I thought I couldn't possibly be more in love with this song... O sweet naïveté!
Dani has such an amazing voice 😍
He does
This song is one of the best of the album! Worth the money i spent on it!!!
Yeap well said
This has been one of their best track for god knows how long.
I enjoyed the refined and tasteful artistic style. Good choice of colors, good use of fake blood. I really liked the way the guitar, bass and drums work together. Dani 's voice is like a fine red wine. Better with age. Everything's tight.
Even my grandma liked it.
good background vocals as well
frozen roses and the pen were a nice touch.
I want that guitar.
Let me put it bluntly: I wasn't a big fan of Cradle of Filth. Until now. I need more songs like this. Please. Please. PLEASE!
This song reminds me of the old CoF... thats why i like it :D
+Haos Picke Ludilo how does it remind you of old cof..?
Cant rly explain... there is this nice back vocal.... and some riffs remind me of lord abortion and the whole midian album....
+Haos Picke Ludilo Listen to their first 2 albums. You'll wanna retract that statement afterwards
Marcos Sanchez Thank you. I couldnt put it in better words.
+Marcos Sanchez Well yeah, Invoking the unclean is pretty different
Once a CoF fan always a CoF fan. Love all their music. Been listening to them since i was a kid now 25. So a good 13 years. Them and nightwish are the reasons that got me into metal. Keep jamming, hope to see you in minnesota in 2016!
My favourite band when I was 14/15, I love to see they didn't change
as much as i hate to say this, i'm kinda glad Paul left the band, i noticed as time went one his riff's became more and more uninspired, i'm well aware of the great music he made while playing with the band, but that's just how i feel.

the new lineup, beheading the.goddess with the same goetic immortal way. \,,/
What a stunner of a song, been a while since they have produced a song as good as this.
"I will never be alright, never be alright; never see the light(!), that shone in the heart of heaveeeennnn!!!"
Thanks for the masterpiece, Cradle. \m/
I love all of Cradle of Filth. They never stop to amaze me.
This has to be the best song so far! Imo. Can't wait to learn this song. Definitely reminds me of some old Cradle! Fuck yes! On repeat! Cradle of Fucking Filth!
such awesome guitar playing.
Very good video clip by CRADLE OF FILTH. Nice dark atmosphere as always, absolutely amazing guitar melodies and...what the fuck...so epic drumming! The female backing vocals are so dark, too. Really good work in this clip!
Omg, el inicio de esta canción suena igual al solo de la canción "quienes sois" del grupo español Ska-p 😮😮😮😮
Now THIS Is The Cradle I've Missed!!
This is probably the most wonderfully crafted songs by C.O.F! Never am I disappointed, Dani inspires all beautifully dark, and deep poets everywhere! I especially love his new sound in Devilment. it's good too see this band going this hard after all the year's hope too see many more albums!!
If you screw up your relationship, there is still black magic.
😂
Thank you.
Same
yeah every CoF album is a masterpiece... except The Manticore and Darkly Darkly D:
This is the best love songs I've ever heard. The lyrics is very good. It is related to me 😭
Their best album since Midian.
+pariskotsaros So true!
+Svarog _dbk Nymphetamine was terrible
This album is closest to golden era CoF in 15 years. Thats a fact.
+pariskotsaros Thank you for saying this! I've been getting into COF and I've always seen Midian and Hammer of the Witches to be their superior albums.
+pariskotsaros I like Nymphetamine and Godspeed.
AMEN BROTHERS !!
Cradle of Filth is fucking back !! Their finest work since Midian, just pure brilliance
Beautiful song and beautiful video, very atmospheric!! ❤ ❤ Hammer of the Witches is a fantastic album!
Cradle Of Filth back to origins....finally
+fedele straniere
i dont like the "dani filth project" but i will admit this song sounded a bit like their old band cradle of filth
this band is not cradle of filth
its just dani and a bunch of new band members...
they dont even have paul as a guitarist
but sure enough they will run to paul to have him paint a album cover for them...
or a new shirt design ect
what a way to use paul....
no wonder he made his own project like sarah and rosie
smfh...
Fuck dani....
its not cradle
its "the dani filth project"
its greed
and the lyrics are nothing new under the sun...lets be honest
im not a hater im just a fan who knows they can do better and have done better
it offends me how he is the only original band member left and they still call the band cradle of filth
even slipknot made stone sour when slipknot originally broke up
now slipknot just does it for money
cradle wont even admit they are still together for money reasons...
pretty fucked up if u ask me
it could also explain why they dont bother coming to america much anymore
but i wont lie they are coming to america this up coming tour
but still they dont tour in america enough.
they kinda just show up in a couple big cities everyone has to travel to and then leave back to Europe
so its kinda annoying how they dont even REALLY tour america
and yet americans get offended by the fact im offeneded...
they obviously hate touring in america
they only seem to tour certain cities when they tour....
thats all im saying
and even then the tickets are limited so its not cool how they just expect everyone to pack into one or two showings....
they have a big fan base in america
more then they realize and its annoying how they dont acknowledge it.
that is all im saying.
they are offically sellouts because they dont acknowledge their fans
but that happend when rosie was around during Nymphetamine.
so whatever....
+Omnipotent Onslaught Cradles best albums have been the ones where Paul wasn't in the band.

I think cradle is between the greatest bands ever, not just in the genre
Really great songs and videos!
Also Danny write amazing lyrics and has a very distinct style

I love this song but, I can't be the only one who notices the riff for this song is from I won't see you tonight pt.1 by A7X.
Whoever you are… that’s a really cool comparison! I Won’t See You Tonight, Pt. 1 next to “Warmness On the Soul” are beautiful Avenged Sevenfold songs, well that’s because A7X is my all-time favorite band. Awesome!!! Nice dark atmosphere!!!
Dani,
Saw You live years ago. See you now on vids. Loved you then. Love you now. Thank you.
Огонь!!!превосходное звучание. Крутые риффы и соляки
В некоторых моментах,спокуха как и всегда
This sounds like it came straight off of Nymphetamine, which was the last Cradle album I purchased. Solid 9/10. They're baaaaaack!
finally!, back to the origins ♥

Thi song is so amazing... I love the way the melodies and aggressiveness entwine, all things that this song has...

This is one of the best lineups they've ever had.
Twould seem that cradle hath returned to former glory. And u love the new style. The lyrics are so beautifully crafted. As in Dani's genius. @WhoDarestheMAN gamer Apples/oranges etc.
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer Maybe that was true like 15 years ago but not since then. Furthermore I don't really care about A7X.
The ending gives me goosebumps
Don't think I'll ever stop loving this track, speaks to my soul 🔥🔥🔥
love dani's out fit. awesome sound, feel and lyrics. is like u are pulled in a story. i feel like crying but with a smirk.

Hey is that... a satanarcho-syndicalisme logo? Does it really exist or did you create it? (just asking hahaa)
