- Ever felt like you were missing out on something, and you couldn't help but shame yourself for it, well in the MLP episode Too Many Pinkie Pies, you may just see that missing out is okay, and actually sometimes for the better.

What I was trying to get across is that when we're running around everywhere because of a fear of missing out, we tend to lose sense of ourselves (i.e. our identity).
At the end of the day, it's the people we interact with and learn from that build our personality, our identity, and who we are as a whole.
Again, hope y'all were able to understand, but please let me know if you were confused.

As always you did a fantastic job, I might be trying too hard to keep with everything, but even I know with everything I need to do, I don't have the time to keep up with all things, All of your videos gave definitely helped me realize a lot of things, Student-Teacher dynamic.
This happens ALL THE TIME, got back from work? Take an afternoon nap, wake up at night only to find out there was a fun event three blocks away from your house and then become sad and anxious because of this

I don't think Pinkie's decision was contradicting, to create a clone that doesn't share memories with her. While FOMO is surely there, I believe the message is more centered around not wanting to disapoint her friends.
To me, Pinkie is someone who's a rock to a friend group. She is the one to start most social interactions between them, and she always wants to be part of her friends lives, to show she cares for them. Rejecting a friends request for her is hard, especially when it feels she is picking one friend or the other, it's like a betrayal. Of course, others don't think that at all, but to her, making that kind of decision is something that would break her connection to someone.
Yeah, Pinkie mainly wants to make everyone happy, which makes it hard for her to choose one friend over another when given options on how to spend time with them.
That probably was more the lesson like you said. I just wanted to take a different spin on it was all.

Well, you all can make that argument, but I think I'm just gonna interpret it as an episode centered around FOMO.

NGL I was expecting more of a focus about cellphones and how many apps like videogames or social media profit out of/use your FOMO 🤔
Also I fully agree with your little tangent about how Pinkie is still missing on these events because even when "she is there" the clone is the one having the experience not she herself
Boy did I have this during my teen years , I spent almost all of my time on UA-cam.
And when it wasn't that , I was on Guildwars (before it got overly nerfed).
I didn't know , but back then I was trying to avoid myself and my problems.
Have you ever heard the term "comfortably numb"?
I was that way too in my teen years. Often didn't associate much with my peers, missing out on what they were into and such. I also got "comfortably numb" to it all.

When you 're thinking about what could be , you do not experience what IS.
Getting absorbed by thought , self-absorbed.
This is an interesting perspective of the episodes story. FOMO is definitely a personality and enjoyment killer for sure, and the idea of it being the crux of the episode's conflict is kinda neat.
Though, I'll have to say that I felt the ending of the episode didn't quite hit the mark for me. In theory, it's a good idea. Of course Pinkie would do ANYTHING to prove she's real, and she's the kind of person to stick to her guns no matter what (that's actually part of the reason this mess of Pinkie clones happened in the first place), but it had the unfortunate side effect of doing the pink mare a bit of a disservice in my eyes.
Throughout the entire episode, every single time a Pinkie clone interacts with the others, they get names wrong, do the wrong thing, and generally make an absolute nuisance of themselves. Even further, when they reported back to Pinkie (the real one), they continued to do exactly as stated before, despite being corrected. Pinkie's knowledge about her friends is somewhat unparalleled in the series, and it's a crying shame the writers didn't capitalize on that notion (like make a mass quiz for the Pinkies about the rest of Ponyville, going into more obscure factoids as the quiz goes on, with wrong answers meaning instant disqualification and spell use). Capitalizing on such a thing could have really showed off just how shallow the clones were compared to the real deal while simultaneously showing off the real Pinkie's intelligence and attentiveness.
That's actually a really interesting perspective you have there. I would have been nice if they had a quiz for all the pinkies. I feel like it would give us an opportunity to learn more about the lore of the series and the world of Equestria more too.
Nonetheless, I still like the approach that was taken at the end of the day.

Oh well, there's always fanfiction to turn to if you wanna see alternate takes and ideas be played out.
I would have failed that test not because of lacking motivation but I'd fail because my ADHD is worse than pinkies.
I'm a part of an instagram community centered around MLP called Ponygram, where we post as our ponies and collab with other people. As fun as it is, I can't post on it as much as everyone else does, because I had school and my own personal projects! I still sometimes struggle with my posting schedule, but I've learned that taking breaks and deciding when to make the time for the things I love is more important than doing everything at once. Thanks again for that reminder! Awesome video :D!!

Another Amazing Video mate FOMO Is Something i still get from Time to Time and i feel it everyday but even tho i can't do everything i always try to do my best to do what i can to Watch other people on YT or Twitch or just hanging out with my Best Friend/Roomate for the day Thanks for Making this video cus it really helped me look back and remember that its ok to miss out from time to time :)

In my case, a lot of my friends have been into spy x family and buddy daddies lately, i haven’t watched neither and felt like I was missing out ;; but your video reminded me that my friends love me no matter what, and it’s important to get into things because you genuinely want to get into them, not because of fomo (for example, a friend recommended me ‘is the order a rabbit?’ which is 100% my vibe so I genuinely want to try it out!)

Yeah, Sometimes missing out on stuff can suck especially depending on what it was. And i know mlp fim has tackled this issue at least twice both in "Too Many Pinkie Pies" and in "What About Discord?" But whether you were part of something or not there for it either way you shouldn't let it get to you.
