It's funny how if you think about it, the episode is just two VAs repeatedly switching voices and talking with each other and themselves as though there's four people talking.

i love how in this episode, when fluttershy and pinkie are stressed, they react in the way you'd expect the other to react.
Fluttershy gets loud and in their face.
Pinkie closes in on herself and cries.
I think its a nice touch to the episode and i believe MLP shouldve had more episodes centric of these two, they work really well off eachother.

4:56 NGL I was dying of laughter when I first watched this episode at this point just seeing her lose her chill always made me laugh because it's out of nowhere but makes a lot of sense when you look into it. This was a Awesome video to watch and a good reminder to always have fun

That's why I hated sports and PE classes at school. For some reason my classmates really wanted to win (just like it's Olympics) and I just wanted to learn how to play and have fun because I was bad at it
That's why I didn't do well in art classes. That n, being forced to do things their way instead of my own style.

Heck yeah! I don’t like how school teaches us to be perfect. School should teach us to be passionate about what we pursue and just have fun doing it.

When it comes to competitive things, there's an actual physical barrier to my ability
Even though I'm alright in my mind, my body cannot stop shaking if I feel pressure. My teeth chatter, my legs wobble, even though in my head I'm not freaking out.
But when I'm playing for fun with my friends, they tell me, "you're so good! You should join this or that," I'm flattered but my performance is much different, even if no one is forcing me to be perfect
I went into music school sinse I was 8, I learned violin, and at first I was really good at it and I played non stop. But then my mum took things too far. She saw that I was good at it and made me practice even more, getting angry when I was crying because I couldn't play anymore and hitting me for every bad note. I started to feel afraid of playing in front of her and slowly the concept of playing violin made me uncomfrotable. Through the whole music school, I only played if it was neccesery and I genuely forgot how much I love to play it. It was only after my first time playing after completing music school have I realised just how much I love violin. I still feel a little uncomfrotable playing in front of my mum ( even though she stopped hitting me for bald notes in second grade of music school, it still has some impact on me) but I'm getting there, and now I really enjoy playing it
Wow! That's quite the story you have there. So sorry to hear about that trauma you went through.
Perhaps your mom was trying to help you be the best at violin, and also you felt afraid because of how she was treating you when missing notes and such.
It can be quite discouraging when we're criticized for doing something wrong even if we were just having fun.
Though, I'm glad you're starting to find the joy in playing music again. Keep it up 😉
This reminds me of The Cuphead Show where in the episode, Mugman is trying to play the piano, but he can't and worries which makes him worse. However, Cuphead can play (even if he never played before)because he doesn't think about failing.

Had this happen during high school when helping out on an mlp project.. yeah ironic. My art just broke and I legit could not draw ponies as I used to, was in this constant art block until I quit the project. It also affected my art classes (which were boring enough cuz designing product labels and stuff with the most stupid ideas from classmates really was a failure of the class, my prof even said I went from the best to the worst in the class XD)
Managed to get back and I've never been better, don't let others push you or yourself. This is a great episode tbh, you can just see how uncomfortable Fluttershy and Pinkie get yet AJ and Rainbow don't see it cuz they didn't say anything until they couldn't handle it anymore :c they should have said something sooner but it still worked out fine in the end
Wow! That's quite the story you have there. I remember when I tried too hard back in my early days of youtube, and it honestly wasn't really fun. But I'm happy to have turned around my strategy to just enjoy making my vids.

Yeah, I realized I didn’t say that right after I recorded it, but I didn’t want to be a perfectionist with the vid.
Plus, showing mistakes shows that I’m human too. None of us are perfect at the end of the day.
