- I was utterly delighted when I was approached by The Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman, who asked if I would create a scent for their new production of Lakmé. The opera has so many references, indirectly, to perfumery so it has been a very natural and beautiful collaboration to be a part of.
I sat down with the lovely Madiha from The Times of Oman to talk about the collaboration in more detail.
He makes this difficult science easy; this is what masters do. I have not smelt a Roja Dove perfume that I don't like. The man is a genius. It's funny because just today I went to smell Enigma Oud again and decided it will be the next purchase.

Roja is the type of person who could sell snow to an Eskimo...his words are beautiful and I am sure this fragrance is just as lovely.

Isn't it amazing how God gave us these scents from nature to smell and then made some of us humans to create them in a purfume. It's amazing how we have these gifts. We are all important in this world no matter what out job is. Imagine what scents God mad in heaven for us to smell 😃

I adore Roja Dove's perfumes and he seems like a very intelligent and lovely man, which is why I will never understand why he collaborates with these muslim countries or countries like Russia that have no regard for human rights, where homosexuality is illegal and people like him are routinely oppressed, imprisoned, tortured, executed or forced to undergo gender reassignment surgery.
