As said above play in simulator mode. Cant compete with a joystick against mouse and keyboard in arcade mode
Arcade with joystick. He is an hero
I'm also an genius too apparently [!] lol. Dont worry, I have seen the error of my ways.
Arcade with joystick is a huge disadvantage. Play sim battles.
Jumping into War Thunder in VR with a DCS setup is one of the craziest things I think I've ever seen.
I suspected it could go badly, I just didn't know how badly.
I suggest learning the game and its little details before full diving into the game, as well as playing sim battles instead of arcade or even realistic. You'll be at an extreme disadvantage with a sim-like setup in a more arcade style gamemode@@RodKnockin
You should try playing Simulator Battles instead of realistic. I think that you would perform waaay better
I'll give that a try, thanks for the suggestion.
This was arcade.
@@fabianmartin88 oh my bad i havent even realised
@@RodKnockinthe third person camera plus free look is just such a huge advantage. Sim forces everyone to cockpit view. Controls are much more suited to those who have a stick as well. I can’t even fly in sim with my mouse in vr. I make myself sick; it’s almost impossible to control
@@ZZPxFTW Thanks for the advice. At least now I have an excuse for how badly the match went lol. In all seriousness, what you said makes perfect sense.
Warthunder is grindy as fuck. If you’re wanting to get into it on VR as a noob I’d suggest grinding with a KBM non vr in realistic mode. Or borrowing a friends account/buying one online. The lower tier unmodified planes are absolute dogshit until you make some progress.
Thanks for the advice mate, I'll look into it.
