It was so nice to hear stuff like this at Axpona. Not all elevator music. This was thr best Axpona show in my 7 years of attendance. And this demo was the highlight of the show for me.
The original Grande Utopia was one of my favorite speakers.
Make us stronger is such a good track ... Hits all the marks on testing a range of sounds :) great video jay 👍👍
Thanks
These are my dream/endgame speakers. I just need more space for it and years to save 😎
Thanks for the coverage Jay
You bet
Incredible ❤❤❤
This show is for audiophiles who only listen to sounds while reading the specs and not for music lovers who listen to music with their heart and ears and don’t care about the specs.
People love electronic music nowadays.
very very clear sound,,,deep sounstage,,,and the bass is tight
Gorgeous Focal Speakers, sound is freaking immersive second to none! Jay, you should bring these sexy speakers to your lab! Great coverage, highly appreciate your work!
This is awesome Jay. I moved a way from focal but they sure sound great.
What did you move into when you moved away from Focal?
I head the same demo in Toronto’s Audiofest 😵💫
High precision sound music
I like that song, Axpona had great music. Sure there were overplayed tracks, but there was great music like Emerson Lake and Palmer self titled on vinyl on the Acora system. H8rs going to h8
There needs to be some arrangement with the corporations and face book where the people that own the music will allow audio shows to use it and Face Book will let you hear it.
Pur si simplu boxe regale. O companie de legenda.
Why they didnt play the drop??
My gosh the loudspeakers are tall. How I missed this room I will never know. Ugh.
I would totally use these speakers for music like this. Any system can do plunky jazz and vocals decently.
put on some. barry white baby
20.7s w 2-Rel Carbon Specials
Coda Ts v3 800w@4ohms
JLA cr-1 active crossover 😊
Sonically better @ $35k
Fleetwood Mac, please.
Japanese night club music.
nice! love that track!
Imo, the big TAD's with their electronics did the best.job on this song.
Not sure what I am listening.
That's more like it real music what most people play
Buy a PA system for this kind of sounds, you be better of and is a lot cheaper...
no PA system in the world can get close to the speed/detail retrieval/imaging etc of this. Funktion ones of a similar size setup would sound slow and muddy in comparison.
@stu3232 Agreed.
Noise torture
Coming from a utopia owner for many years I have to say the demonstration was horrible. I saw the same demo in Canada and they blasted the music in hopes that we would like the music . Listening to Focal Utopia at a lower level is where they excel . Focal stop blasting the %#%# music !!!
I'm seeing that music is gone from High-End shows, instead just weird sounds demos are now the norm. Sad, very sad!
I agree. Play some music, that will tell me all I need to know about your gear. This Electronic crap sucks and proves nothing IMO.
Agreed. Stop playing this pretentious kak and play some music
Each to their own mate! I actually listen to stuff like that. 😊
LOL
Yeah, no music at audio shows.
No Classical, no Jazz, nada.
You're hilarious & delusional.
Although a well-recorded music track with acoustic music and vocals can say a lot about a speaker and the electronics, I'm so glad that fairs these days dare to play a little more alternative and challenging music. Previously it was mostly soft jazz, which says very little how a speaker and the electronics perform. Even if you don't like this particular music, it speaks volumes for how the system handles bass attack, complicated midrange and treble parts when its challenged. I like a lots of diferent music and its so much more interesting to go to Fair know adays when you get both Wells recorded music and other alternative music as well.
weird choice of music to showcase such high level speakers
In Focal are using this shXXXt music since ages ... they've never learned .... unbeleavable
it's actually 2 out of 6/8 samples, best speaker of the show, the clarity at high level is mind blowing
Electronic music actually puts speakers to the test with transient speed/note attack release, full range frequency response, black background, and stereo imaging. Vocals and slow acoustic music are not going to show you what a system can actually do at the extremes, or demonstrate how much control it really has.
@@chipsnmydip I don't mind electronic music at all, but that was truly ghastly
The weight / sound quality ratio is as bad as the price / sound quality ratio. No, I am not jealous at all. 😉
WTF 😬
Why bother doing a Demonstration at all 😮
What a waste of such wonderful speakers playing junk music. I very disappointed.
You ain't got the brains to understand this mupppet.
It's called pinpoint what instrument being played where like live orchestra
Not all speakers can find or can pinpoint 15 instrument being played
