This is absolutely one of their best songs. That riff is one of the all time greatest metal riffs in my opinion - it just gets you really pumped up and so heavy!
My heart will always be with 80's thrash/speed metal. This song/performance is, in my opinion, the best modernization of 80's thrash metal that I have ever heard. This song warms an old school Thrash Metal fan's heart and is definitely among my three favourite songs by Lovebites! Compared to the rather tame sounding studio version, the heavy sound of this version is absolutely perfect. Since you especially loved the main riff of this song, I recommend to listen to Testament's song "Over the Wall" from their debut "The Legacy" (it was my favourite album in 1987 and is not only my favourite album by them, but also one of my favourite Thrash Metal albums from the eighties), because the main riff of "Break the Wall" strongly reminds of the riff you hear for the first time about 37 seconds into Testament's "Over the Wall". Unlike Testament, Lovebites have not only one, but two excellent lead guitarists and I'd say the sound of this live version of "Break the Wall" is even better and heavier. As for other Thrash Metal songs by Lovebites, I fully second the recommendation of the live versions of "The Hammer of Wrath" and "Set the World on Fire" and the studio version of "Dissonance" (there's no live version yet) in previous comments.
Regarding the studio version, this live version versus the studio version had the widest gap of "good"/"bad". I honestly don't like the studio version that much, because of this live version.

Elite guitarists usually start playing their instrument very young, but not so for M&M. Both started piano as toddlers (Midori at 2 and Miyako at 3), but Miyako didn't take up guitar until she was out of high school (18) and Midori started while in university (20). Yes, M&M are the greatest guitar tandem in the world. The entire band have shown can do everything in metal (except screamo, so far) and do it at the highest level. This was the third song I heard from them and it was the one that convinced me they historically great.
I think i was an "elitist" when i was between 16-20 or whatever, however for me there was nothing better than Yes, Genesis, Renaissance at that time. And next some jazz like Pat Metheny, Jan Gabarek, Keith Jarrett. But Yes was simply the best .. in the end it all makes sense because at that time we called it "symphonic rock", and while i heared a lot of all other kind of music in the later 80s and 90s, and there lost my "elitst" behaviour because i then even liked maybe Whitney Houston or Celine Dion, because they are just great singers, at the end of the 90s i first rediscovered Ritchie Blackmore with "Blackmores Knight" and then Nightwish and Within Temptation who in the end are now called "symphonic metal". Also if i think back, Blackmore also always had already some kind of symphonic stuff in his music, or the medivial folk elements. And now i notice its not a Nightwish reaction but Lovebites, but nonetheless Miyako is als a great Ritchie Blackmore fan, and they also have quite some symphonic / classical stuff in their music.

dude that riff!!
For a Lovebite’s song, with a great gallop, try the Unbroken. Haruna is great and is singing along, even though she does not have a mike!

“Bad song” and “Lovebites” don’t belong in the same language, let alone sentence.
There is a saying: After a wonderful meal, there is room for a beer. Here you can add: after all this, there will still be room for Break the wall :)
Yes a "Once in a lifetime band"
Another delightful track.. I love all these ladies, but Haruna.. she's one of the more capable drummers out there.
dude I loveeeeee this song!
you shoudl react to Lovebites Scream For Me Daughters of the Dawn live tokyo 2019 it has 14 guitar solos in it and it is amazing
😁
React to this unique Japanese band: *Maximum the Hormone* - _Hungry Pride_
*WARNING:* _Consume in moderation if you don't want to become addicted._
I got a reaction coming soon😊
Great reaction. I don't remember if you have reacted to their The Crusade which is written as a tribute to Aces High. Try it if you have not. ua-cam.com/video/0guewPdnrKQ/v-deo.html
Ohhh its on the list! Thanks so much dude
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Oh, great! I'm looking forward to it. BTW, It has to be live, either of Wacken 2018 or Tokyo 2021 because a great performance of Miyako is buried and missing in the MV.
No Band is the greatest Band, there are so many greats Band.
Lovebites is the greatest band, ever. That's my opinion, and no one can change that.
@@Vatvor Let's agree to disagree then. My ears rate music. Your ears don't rate my music. Yes there have been countless great bands over the decades. No two greatest ever lists are alike. I like Lovebites a lot more than Hanabie, Nemophila, band-Maid, etc. Lovebites, FOR ME, is now "better" than some of my favorites up until now - Led Zeppelin, Exodus, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Opeth, etc etc. I can't tell you who you think the best are, nor can you tell me. And objectively wrong? I'm no great musician. Sure, I played piano between the ages of 5 - 20, and was pretty good at it. I've been listening to metal since I first heard Zeppelin in 1971. So sorry not sorry that there is no amount of information you can provide me to change my mind, and in NO way would I ever try to change anyone else's mind regarding music.
@@mmcpa Absolutely agree !!
wait until you reaction lovebites new song dissonance, tornado of trash i think
I cant wait!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody and i cant wait to see how your reaction 😉👍
Because Thrash is the best Metal, more Thrashtastic live performances by LOVEBITES:
RAISE SOME HELL, MIYAKO’s guitar hero Dimebag would approve - ua-cam.com/video/zamSQD0JUFk/v-deo.html
SET THE WORLD ON FIRE - ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html
HOLY WAR - ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html

It would be nice if your intro music wasn't set to eardrum breaking level. Just saying!!!!
I will adjust, my bad dude 😔
