Yeah, the 2 knife thing is strange to me. I am a knife enthusiast and I am also a small business owner who basically does anything related to landscaping and tree care in central Florida. I use my knives many times every day, hard usage that also requires a sharp blade. The people who carry nice knives like Emerson or Benchmade but are afraid to actually use them are the ones carrying 2 knives usually. I love using my nice knives for actual work and they do perform better and last longer than the cheap knives. It's obvious that many people who are into this EDC thing are only doing it as a hobby and a fashion trend. Which is completely fine if it's something that they enjoy. I just find it amusing to see how many tools a guy with a white colar who lives in an apartment carries every day because they supposedly "need" them daily lol.

The psychology behind edc is interesting to me. The subculture has really transcended beyond just carrying a single knife for years or using the same watch for decades etc.
I don’t get it man. Leatherman Arc, Rolex Datejust, and my phone. I don’t carry cash and I just Apple Pay. Clean pockets and if I need my wallet for cards or cash it’s in my truck with my full size tools.

What is the idea behind carrying a fixed blade and the folder? That fixed blade appears to be neither a defensive blade nor a heavy use blade. At what times Do find yourself using the fixed vs the folder?
@@Erick925 the size of folders in my country is interesting. One handed are as I already said, not allowed to be carried. Otf, gravity and butterfly knives are completely illegal. But 2 handed knives can be carried in any size, so foldable machetes and stuff like this is legal

I carry a pen in my briefcase, and my tablet has a pen as well. The fountain pen is basically obsolete equipment, I only use it for signing the rare paper document. It doesn’t get used enough to justify actual pant pocket space. Maybe jacket space in some situations.
I carry a phone & a car fob, everything i need is in my car or house. If im going bush, I'll carry a knife etc. But who carries a torch during the day anyway? seriously.

If i dont carry my leatherman multitool with bit kit and bit extender and flashlight, i carry a pocket knive knipex cobra pliers and a 4" cresent wrench and a flashlight.

I do it for legal reasons. In my country you can't carry most one handed folder. But fixed blades up to 12cm are completely legal.

Unless you need to use a pen for a career or hobby, it’s just not worth the pocket space, just my opinion.
Zebra telescoping pen fits in my wallet, so there's really no reason for me to not have one.
