      same here, I wasnt sure if I wanted to buy the conical or conical full.
      I like skating slightly bigger wheels, around 54mm and now I´m convinced that the conical full would be too big in 54mm
      usually I´m all in favour of trying out new setups, but speetfires are quite expensive so its nice to be somewhat certain.
      thanks man, you deserve more subs! great content!

    what should i get for mainly tech skating ?
    Classic formula, bighead, f4 conical? wich one

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  2 роки тому +1

      For tech skating i would recommend the Formula Four Classic shape. For me this shape optimizes the lightness, nimbleness, and responsiveness of the wheel- while also providing an optimal shape for most grinds/slides. Hope that helps!

    What shape would be better for smooth ground as well as rough? Also great review, keep it up!

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the support! I think you could totally skate this wheel on smooth AND rough ground, however the Conical Full shape wheel will give you a slight advantage in speed over rough surface. This wheel gives you the same stability but a little more advantage with sliding/“scraping” tricks (like tre flips). I would say anything in the “Conical” shape realm would be ideal for both. Hope that helps!

      Litzy hey homie! Unfortunately I haven’t seen them anywhere since i got mine. I bought mine from Tactics back in Feb before covid and all the hardware shortage. I would speculate either they haven’t been stocked back yet, or maybe most people just buy the fulls so shops don’t even bother since they’re so similar. Sorry it’s not much help though :/. Good luck!

      @@Skatebetter yo! sorry for bombarding you with questions but this is probably going to be the last one haha! i’ve been looking into the spitfire tablets and they seem similar to the conicals. if you have tried them out do you think they’re a good wheel? also you should make a video about them because your videos are always so helpful!

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  3 роки тому

      Litzy No worries and my pleasure! Unfortunately I haven’t tried the tablets so I’m not sure how much help I can be. I know the riding surface is about the same but the wheel is narrower than the conicals (relatively). I would assume that would make it slightly lighter and easier to do things like tre flips while also allowing the wheel the lock in well, but may sacrifice some speed and stability. Hope that helps, I’m basically just speculating :)

    Hey the visual comparison was so helpful at the start of this video thank you 😭 I’m thinking to buy some new wheels (I’ve never bought a set before just used what came with my board). I skate street and parks (concrete and wooden) and I’m still a beginner (I’m just getting my Ollie down). My friend has a set of conical wheels from a local skate brand and I think I enjoy the shape. I’m looking for something not too hard for street skating but not too soft to make landing ollies and other tricks hard. Can you help?

    im a beginner skater and i love skating on street. i was kind of leaning towards the regular conicals but the fulls seem best for me. if i get the fulls will it impact the way i do tricks? also what do you think about mini logo bearings? thanks in advance!

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  3 роки тому +2

      Great question! I think as a beginner you will not notice much difference in the wheels. I would go for the regular conicals as i think having a slightly lighter wheel with less “cone” and less friction will help you in learning tricks. I actually have some mini logo bearings but they are backups i throw in my bag just in case. I haven’t heard good things about anything mini logo but that doesn’t mean you won’t like them. When I’m doubt i think Bones Reds are a great bearing for the buck! Hope that helps. :)

      Litzy, go with Spitfire Cheapshots if you're looking for a decent budget bearing. They have removable shields (which most other budget bearings don't have) making them really easy to clean, and at £10 they are inexpensive to replace when needed.

    Which would be a better wheel for tech while having a wider riding surface, regular conicals, radial slims, or the tablets?

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  3 роки тому +1

      For tech I would go with the tablet all day. I don’t consider them wide but certainly a bit “wider” than a classic shape for sure. I think you can get tech with the conical reg or the radial slims but the tablets feel super light and extra responsive in my opinion which is ideal for tech. Hope that helps!

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  2 роки тому +1

      That’s a tough one but a good question. IMO- compared to the fulls the difference is minimal for lock in (they are equally beneficial). I absolutely agree compared to the classics they lock in much better but I don’t think the fulls would give you a better lock in compared to the reg conicals as the edge angle is pretty much the same, and that’s (for me at least) what makes the biggest difference for locking in (not so much the width or riding surface). Hope that helps!

      I would say yes but it’s very subtle. The fulls feel the tiniest bit heavier and more stable, regular conicals are a bit easier to slide and a bit better for scoop tricks. Were talking like .5 difference on a scale of 1 - 10 so for most people it won’t matter. Hope that helps!
