The best monoprinting video I’ve seen. Naomi is so knowledgeable, articulate and gifted as a teacher. The fact her accent sounds so similar to Bowie’s is just an audio bonus. Thank you so much for sharing this valuable and inspirational video.
This was great! Thank you so much! I really appreciate your pedagogical approach. You’re offering techniques and not “prefab” projects. I like your emphasis on process over product.
Thank you for clarifying that these are monotype techniques, not monoprints. It's really confusing that most videos on youtube confuse monoprints for monotypes when there is a clear difference between the two. @Hospital Rooms
Your mission is wonderful and so important! Art has been proven to have emotional and even physical healing power for certain. I do fine art, paper crafting & mixed media and always like to see quick and easy techniques that anyone can use. I’m in the U.S. and watch a good bit of UK 🇬🇧& EU 🇪🇺 art channels and of course lots of U.S. 🇺🇸 art channels. I just subscribed👍🤗
What a fabulous video!! So enjoyed seeing this process and hearing your informative explanations. Definitely an accessible and imaginative art form. TFS!!
What a lot of creative fun this looks. Thanks for demo. Would love to have a go - when I can find a place where making a mess is not an issue :) look forward to more from your channel now I’ve found it
Quite informative to play with these printing techniques. I have a pin press, so will experiment with it to create mode prints. Another tracing tool is using a 'golf ball' rolling it lightly on the back of the paper that is over the plate. Makes great dotted lines.
This was a great video! I've been dabbling with simple printmaking for years - linoleum blocks, woodcuts, silkscreen. It's nice to see yet another technique to try. Thank you! Any tips/hints on paper and inks?
Just a helpful suggestion, you need to get video camer very close to what you are doing. Now I feel.like I am watching you in the cheap sits in the back.

1) How can you make something not random, i.e. print a photograph for example? 2) I thought « printing » (compared to painting) was about repeatability, I don’t see how you would be able to print the same thing or even roughly the same thing over and over again? So why is it called mono « printing »?
A print is an image made by pressing paper onto a surface covered in ink. It's called a 'mono'print I think because in this kind of printing each print is unique.

Mono means one, one print.
Unable to see what she’s doing. Thumbs down.👎
Saw nothing interesting
Sooooo slow!!!! and too long for an instructional video. If I taught my students at this pace they would have left the room.
