First time to drop in. You might want to read up a bit on Dumaguete and Silliman. In 1901 Dumaguete was a sleepy fishing village when Presbyterian missionaries landed and established the first protestant educational institute. It's the oldest American school in these islands. I'm a Presbyterian graduate of 1965. You may find this explains so many Protestants in the city. The students back then were protestants from all over the country.
