A Harry Potter book with a leather cover would have some weird authenticity, perhaps? But I wouldn't look at it, apart from it being curious. But you're correct; you'll never stop everybody's curiosity with a book title. Saw those PO Savings Bank coin boxes when I was young, but I never knew that the hole in the base was for notes. I didn't even own a 10/- note, let alone a pound or five pound note, until I was a teenager! And by then, the ten bob note was being replaced with 50p coins, and my coin box had become a bank book. Well done with the picking! And a nice one for the collection, Mrs. D. Thanks.
Thanks for waching RWBHere 👍. I missed out on these when I was young. We had dodgy plastic ones. Dont think I ever had notes as a kid nether. I was lucky to have a couple of quid to my name haha.👍
Thanks Brian Field. They are quite easy to come by in the UK. I have herd of some similar things in the US. Thanks for waching and hope you have a good one too👍
Well done Mrs D!....what a lovely piece of history...as for how old? I'm almost certain it predates Lizzie on the throne as the crown insignia is a "Kings" crown and all of these would have been changed in 1952 post Coronation....to the "Queen" version....I've got a head full of useless information like that ;-)
Thats some awsome info. We would never have picked up on that. Mrs D loves these old coin boxes and she loved that little bit of info. Thanks Cuff Girl👍
Thats awsome. If you could let me know the name of the bank so I can do searches for Mrs Deadlocks colection that would be greatly appreciated Rune International 👍. Its easy for me to find the British ones but it would be cool if I could search for some more international ones for her. 👍
@@Deadlocks86 you will not just find those online as they are about 50 years old and I got them as kid. They are in my storage in my parents loft. Also Denmark has their own 2nd hand websites.
That would be awsome if you came across something👍. I'd be up for some kind of trade for something that's easy to get in the uk or straight paying if you find something👍
Great job Mrs Deadlocks and a very cool addition to your collection
Thanks Georgia Jim. It is a cool addition. I like that one. Thanks for waching and have a good one👍

Nice job Mrs. DLocks. Haven't seen anything like those in my neck of the woods here in Texas, but very neat. Take care and have a great weekend. 🙂👍

I have old book coin boxes almost like that from a Danish bank. Like the coin trap they have and the round hole for rolled up banknotes

Yeah. These are all really old. Our oldest is from the 1920s. Denmark having there own second hand websites is a problem tho haha
@@Deadlocks86 just did a search for you, and no hits. If I come across an extra some how, I will reserve it for her.
