Just a small comment. I think it would be better for you to have Huawei on one side and iPhone on the other without flipflopping. Some categories, you put the Huawei on the left, and others Huawei is on the right. Really confusing and we have to keep track of which is which.

The Mate 60 Pro Camera is amazing. It's crazy to see how far China and Huawei have come in terms of smartphone technology. The iPhone used to be leagues ahead of Huawei phones. But now Huawei is slowly and steadily catching up. It's no longer far behind and if Apple's not careful. This Chinese phone might end up beating them at their own game.
Apple iPhone will die out in china sooner or later. Too much drive to use local brands in china. Just a matter of Apple will have the next big thing by then or not.

Xmage was definitely off. Yeah I was surprised the images were all blown out too. I tried my best to turn off hdr features on both phones. This test was also like 7 months ago so Huawei may have updated their software to make a difference since then
Huawei has extra saturated color like all the Chinese phones while iphones have pretty natural pics with extra high definitions so the iPhone clearly wins in the camera section.
A lot of people like the more saturated colors and feel that means a camera is better but I think once apple added the photographic styles feature it isn’t a problem for iOS anymore as now you have choice. I don’t understand why apple refuses to add beauty filter features though as that is a necessity these days

Yeah the 12mp iPhone ultra wide macro is just awful. Zoom this Huawei best the 14pro max but the 15 pro max added 5x zoom now and is better than the Huawei.

There is a setting on the Huawei called screen resolution. You forget to set this to High instead of Smart resolution. If you set on High Huawei will win every category you just mentioned on this video. lol
Where is this setting. I don’t see anything. There’s only aspect ratio. Audio control. And capture smiles. For video there’s video resolution which I used 4K and framerate. Hef. HDR.
Ok I found it but the smart resolution is for the screen display and is not related to the photo/video resolution I believe. let me know if that is incorrect.

If you say you have taken both photos and compared it using the same monitor on a PC then it's good and unbiased. The viewing experience makes a difference. Also photo evaluation is subjective. It's like comparing Nikon to Canon to Sony photos. Some people like natural look whilst others like vivid colours of Canon.

yeah the main camera difference isn't much. but on the telephoto and ultra wide the Mate has much higher resolution . 48mp vs 12mp. this makes a big difference for ultra wide MACRO and long digital zoom usages.
for me I like doing video more and the huawei wasn't as good in video. that's well established and agreed by this point. in fact it's pretty much agreed in chinese social media even the huawei photos aren't that good. in tele for sure it beat the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I own both phones and try not to be biased but there's certain items where probably some of my preferences have been molded by my main phone, iPhone, the last decade.

I think the Huawei cameras are pretty good actually. was pretty competitive with the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I have another review comparing it to the iPhone 15 Pro Max as well.
No what I mean is that the Huawei camera evolved way before apple but nowadays it's struggling with apple where lica where it's unbeatable zoom camera where it's unbeatable night mode where it's half a decade ago already pixel binning technology got upgraded. Hands down that this is the best phone I ever owned. No other phone comes close to this phone. It's truly amazing. (Mate 60 pro+).

In HUAWEI MATE 60PRO, the HDR in the video settings should be turned off. It makes the videos look blown out of proportion.
