Great list of rods. The new SLX A series rods also have anti -twist tech. For $100 they’re good rods. Just picked up a med. action Cashion element rod for throwing jerk baits. They run around $130 but Imo well worth it.
Honestly I really like the clicker handle on the old vendetta. After using the vendetta medium for a couple years I got my girlfriend the fenwick eagle of the same profile this season to go bass fishing with me, took it for a spin and I snapped it in half on the first day treating is exactly like I do my vendetta.. definitely not near as durable. Felt good while it was in 1 piece though.
This rod might sound like junk but a Ugly stick GX2 casting rod I am pretty rough on my rods and it takes it. Its like $55 and I have a spinning Ugly stick GX2 rod for like 7 years and is just a tank with the lews real. they are a little on the heavy side but it gives me the right to say fishing is a workout.
Hey Casey! I just got a fish finder for my pelican boat. What size battery do you use that fits in that ammo can. I really like your setup for it. Thank you for any info. Enjoy your videos and love getting an alert that a new video is out
Thank you! I actually just upgraded my battery and box. I got an Amped Outdoors 30 ah, but if u don’t plan on getting livescope then just do a 10-20. Whatever dimensions the battery u get make sure the box is 2-3” bigger so it can hold the wires
@@joec8364 It’s hard to get a rod for all those, as Musky take very specific gear. Besides Musky, a 7’ medium baitcaster would be fine for most other species!
Love the video! Just a question though. I have the vendetta that has the all plastic handle. (Newest version i think) in a medium heavy x-fast. Do you think i should sell it for a bit cheaper or not? And what would you use it for personally?
Hey man, Im newer to fishing and have been fishing a spinning setup for a while and ever since I started ive been thinking about baitcasters. Im deciding to buy a setup and already have a reel picked out (Lew's Speed Spool LFS) , the problem is im having a big trouble finding a rod. I want a versatile rod that I can use for many different things something like a 7", heavy, fast/moderate fast for around $100-$150. Ive found many rods that fit my criteria with one issue, none are 2 piece rods, I can maybe fit a 7" rod in my parents cars but most of my fishing is done by me riding my bike to spots and carrying around a 7" rod would just not be possible. Im wondering if you would know any rod that would fit this criteria as you seem really knowledgeable. thanks!
Snakehead rods I believe are going to be a heavier power, usually a 7' medium heavy or something along that range. I personally have never targeted snakehead as I have lived in the west for my entire life
@@mikec8123 I agree, but the eyelets are tiny. If your not sure on that link then I'd try and find a different one to buy. I'll do some research and see if I can find a better link to replace that one. Thanks for the heads up!
Numbers in the video are the reverse of what they are in the video description. Confusing as to which is best. Thanks for the video.

In the same price range, what do you think of the dobyns colt series rods?
I haven't fished with the Colt rods yet, but I have heard good things. Dobyns makes some great products!
are you using the old vendetta or the new one. how is the grip on the new one?
@@lexxonvongphachanh1531 The one I featured here is the old one, but the new one is even better imo

what type of line do you throw on the abu garcia vendetta
@@prettybi_axle52 Depends on what your fishing with and for!
I was told Shimano reels don’t fit well on the fenwick eagle is that true
