I've actually wondered several times if technology would progress faster or slower if we were to know what has been made possible 100 years in the future. Would we research faster to get that awesome tech ASAP or would we put less effort in because we "know" the technology will come in the future so why bother now?

Because A380 designed at the time hub & spooke (transit) still used (this means if you fly with half passenger, planes will land at another airport to pick more passenger), when entered production, airlines already move to direct flight so airlines need smaller long range planes for high frequency flight (smaller means fill up quickly), with Covid-19, economical, & cancelled freighter Version, A380 fate was sealed
The official said "If you only could sell products below productions price and losing money in the process, better shut down the production line for good"

What a marvelous piece of Engineering by the British , French and German aircraft manufacturers. A real masterpiece aircraft in the history of aviation. Those super jumbo 4- Rolls-Royce Engines tied up on those wide spread wings bending slightly downward to allow flexibility and keeping the aircraft aerodynamically stable while cruising at 600 miles/hr. at 37000 feet .I had flown in this aircraft many times seating on the window side. Once i was sitting at a position from which i could easily see both the engines on my right side through the window while standing at the terminal. After the plane took off and attained an altitude of 37000 feet and cruising at 600 miles/hr , i could see only one engine (the nearer one). The second engine (exterior one ) was not visible anymore from the same seat because the entire wing bent backward due to its high speed, so the exterior engine was not visible from that point anymore at that high speed ! Great job ! Thanks to the Anglo-French-German joint venture in creating this excellent piece of machine Airbus A 380-800. Bravo !
    9 ground

The A380 is such a good-looking aircraft. It's just majestic.
It's the wings that do it for me.
That said, all those rivets you see on close-up do take some of that majesty away.

My recommendation. For those who fly internationally, at least once in your flying days, book an airline that still flies the A380 before they all get retired. We flew on An Airbus A380 on Lufthansa from Frankfurt to JFK with an upgrade to premium economy. What a great flight , smooth, quiet, and great service. Do it if you can, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Oranyelu Anthony budget issues on airlines, it’s more efficient economically to have a B777 or an A350 than an A380, Airbus is actually closing the A380 project in red numbers specially after Emirates (the most loyal A380 customer) cancelled part of the order they had made for the A380
