Dad and I watch you videos. He's 81 yrs old now. He logged for 35 yrs. Puts a smile on his face time. Thank you
Cool. Thanks for watching 🤙
The shot of the plane taking off over the boat!
Thank you as ever for taking us with you in your world….
Gordy said it in a video of his, one of the reasons he likes you, if because you got balls. And I admire a guy like you for it. Stay safe man. Mistakes happen. That rope chipper story send chives down my spine…
You sure get to see lots of Beautiful Canadian scenery.
Like hearing the gear tips from the pros. Like the dogs needing to be longer for example.
Nice to see you back in your natural environment. Regards from Scotland.
Always relaxing watching these videos and enjoy seeing you work problems out. Thanks for another good video. Stay safe friend
Nice to see you back on the stump. Keep the videos coming. As usual, be safe 🤙
Thank you for sharing your life Bjarne!! And it's a bloody interesting one to share. Many great videos for us to gorge on. Best wishes from a rainy damp England 🇬🇧
So much old growth! I love your passion for it. I share it too. Just work in a different trade, but I imagine when the weather is just right, light snow on the trees, it’s thrill to deftly lay those big fellars down right where you want them. Cheers from PA.
You are in some beautiful country up there Bjarne. Glad your back. The world is back in peace and harmony now. Lol! Don't get sea sick on the boat. Lol
You sir, have my dream job! Keep up the good work!
Getting back into soggy season on the west coast, ready for those 100mm days of rain.
Wow!! Haven't seen a Grumman Goose in operation in many decades. They used to be the premiere method of air transport here in SE Alaska in the fifties, sixties and early seventies. Brings back many memories.
I love it when people say stop cutting trees we don’t have any, while there in a house made of trees 😂 beautiful
I have flown out of that airport in a goose. It’s very thrilling! You’re blessed to have an office with a view like that! Be safe!
Good to see you back where you belong.
Assuming you're off the fire? Good to see the normal countryside again.
Good old Grumman goose Bjarne. Flew in one a few times in the Q C Islands. Good to see you back on the hill.
Happy to see you back man of many talents and interests 😀 all that and you get to work in the most beautiful place in N America !
Kudos on that cedar with the snag in it. That would be great training footage for newbies for a safe way to do a risky but necessary snag.
Great to see you cutting the big stuff down again. Googled the number on that Goose seaplane, wow built in 1942! Greetings from the UK.
Welcome back to the woods, doing what you do best! I’ve missed the cutting videos.😊
Your livin my dream brother…been in mountains on a saw most my life n eastern Ky and always dream of gettin to live and work in those mountains…bc coast is special place for us saw men…..matt
Beautiful British Columbia!
Great to see you back on the wet coast and in bigger timber! Enjoyed the shots of setting up your room and gear! For anyone working remotely, having the right gear, set up correctly, makes a heck of a difference in your productivity!! In my early days of guiding hunters here on Kodiak (mid '80s) we used the Goose a lot for getting in and out of camps...great airplane!! Work safe!
Good stuff Bjarne . Stay safe . :)
That's VIH's old camp. I worked out of it falling on Pitt Island just south of Rupert
Back in the saddle!!!
Nice seeing you back to cutting timber again and I was curious do you work year round for the same company or do you have to change companies during the year to be able to work everyday out there and keep up the good job and damn i wished I could still do it myself cause I sure do miss it too
There’s only a few companies on the coast where you can work year around. If you not working for them then you’ll have to jump around to different companies to stay busy all year
Bjarne that is some beautiful country you got there
How did they get the berthing barge into/onto the lake????
Very Beautiful to wake up to in the A.M.
Thnx for sharing.
Be safe
Best wishes
G'day mate, Andy from Australia, I'm a faller here in Oz, have you come across the hairy lad? Beautiful country nice logs 👍🏼
Awesome way to go to work beautiful
I didn't know you were a Fire fighter so am I tape 2 Fire fighter 🔥 love my jobs
Love Your Sweater!!
Amazing video loved it
I’m a 50 year old American and I want to go up there!
Knarly looking wedges.
Pretty chain. Do you wash your chains before sharpening, or is that a new chain?
How many chains do you consume (dull) in a day or week? Do you sharpen back at the camp, or do you just use downtime in the field for sharpening?
We back boys!!
Missed ya man.. lets cut some trees :) from SE Texas Bear
Good job
We read the same books buddy 👍
Great vid Bjarne. What modified muffler are you using on your 572? Or your 592?😊
It’s a modified muffler from Walkers Sawshop in Nanaimo BC
I wish you would do the hi vis jacket in XXL.
get the west coast dogs for the 572. also i got a 201 that never wants to shut off as well
What a treat, back to logging, did you feel the 5.6 earthquake of the south end of Vancouver Island lastnight?assuming that's were your logging still,I had to edit this after I sent it,your camp is on floating, wasn't thinking
Nope didn’t feel a thing 🤷♂️
Glad to hear all is well, love spending my Saturday morning with you Bjarne, again thank you so much
What's for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
Bjorne has more luggage than Paris Hilton🧳🦺. The quality of the video is Spielbergesk, outstanding!!
Home again home again jiggety jog.
very nice been waiting for that return! Question... how heavy is your axe head and did you weld some plate on or why is it thicker at the end? Best regards
It’s a 3.5lb head that has a 1/4 round stock welded into a loop on one side and the other side also has a piece of round stock welded to the side. So ya it’s a lot wider now, I find it does less damage to the wedges and your aim doesn’t have to be perfect
Hey, just wondering how many saws (spare powerhead and bar) you usually bring on a typical shift??
Amazing
Nope, I got the same trousers. I won’t put them on outside of late fall-winter.
Have you tried CLogger pants? I find them not nearly as heavy or hot as the Pfanner pant.
Since your always on the water do u do much fishing?
Howd you stop your heartburn Bjarne?
enjoy our content!
After the first couple of days do you think you will send for your bigger saw ?
Ya I switch to my big saw later in the shift
Is there a specific reason why you're using the 572 instead of the 592??
The other day, you mentioned "a swanson" cut on some stumps you saw. What is a swanson?
It’s just an undercut with a lot larger opening. It causes the tree to slide off the stump sooner so the butt hits the ground before the top, thereby reducing the impact and mitigating any potential damage to the tree. It’s used mostly on steep ground when the tree has to fall long way down before impact. Hope that makes sense
Thank you! It does make sense. Show us how you do it if you get a chance. Really enjoying these new videos!! @@BjarneButler
What is considered as old growth more than fifteen years old

Nice commute in gods country. No global warming up there, but then again ……
Great stuff mate .. Make some dollars for Phillipines retirement 👍 Stay safe
How do they pay, is it a day rate, footage, hourly??
As many rotten snags the foresters mark it has to be day wage?
Pozdro z Polski 🇵🇱🦾 572xpg sthil light se 🥰👏👏
there must be times after a hard day you hate having to buck up those logs ready for the Chopper , and full on danger if they roll off towards you .
