Hi Bjarne glad to see you’re back making videos. I live in the central part of the province. Surrounded by wildfires. Want to express my gratitude for the work you guys are doing . Big Thanks Bjarne and to all the fire crews.
They're called Forest Fires. The term "Wildfires" has only shown up in the lingo to help try & sell to Society that they're so wild they now burn things they shouldn't & don't burn things they should.
thank you bjarne for another great vidio hope you enjoyed your vacation as much as i enjoyed watching your vidios of it take care and god bless you and your family
Thanks for posting 🙂 Was wondering how it was going up there. My daughter lives in Revelstoke, and was cut off for a day or two, a while back. Glad you're all ok Take care Cheers
It's good to see you're back, and that you made it home from the overseas. I had heard that there was a good many countries that were up there helping out with trying to get all the fires under control. That's great that everyone is pulling together to do something on a scale as large as is needed to fight all the different fire's up there. Very impressive indeed, down here in the south from Texas across the southeast the power companies line crews all work together from all the different states to get power up and going after hurricanes, and tornadoes so that large numbers of homes and business can have electricity to pickup the pieces in order to get back to normal faster than once was possible due to shortage of manpower to make all the repairs.
Oh Bjarne I heavily recommend a water filter - Grayl It's a multi use thats quick/fast action to process 30 oz. of water from nearly any source. Same size as a 32 oz nalgene bottle. Look it up read the details, it's a good one.
Great to see you posting again missed your videos terrible news about fires great co content fantastic footage stay safe looking forward to the next video
So, that's where all the smoke is coming from to choke us out south of you in Washington state. lol. One of my young grandsons got hired onto a state fire fighting crew this year. He came back and said he has never had so much fun. Hiking, chopping, digging, sweating. Very proud of him. I'm a 77 yo grandpa and can remember my own days on the line. In addition to what he experienced he will eventually add fear.
I just found your channel today and love the content! In Golden BC myself, and a logger with a type 2, and hopefully my dta and dtf as soon as I can find the time! Anyway, stay safe brother!
welcome back. I'm glad you're safe and kicking that fires ass 👍buddy. but just that little fire where you're cooking is about 1000 thousand degrees give er take.
Looked like a toad you found, probably why it wasn't to interested in swimming. Fun roasting meat over a forest fire. Appreciate your hard work with the fires. Am in the middle of them. Nice to finally see some rain.
Good to see you’re back home from the Philippines. The wife and I are heading out to go on a trip through the US Pacific NW. keeping an eye on the fires out west. We will be traveling amongst several working fires. Never thought to consider this when we planned our trip over last winter. Be safe, Bjarne! Cheers! Whipple
Back in my younger years, it was a Stihl, today it's in the repair shack, keeping pumps going. It's been a brutally busy summer. My ole body couldn't do this saw stuff, but I'm on my 3rd fire this year. Yesterday was flown in to right a tipped skidder, never righter one under a helicopter. Was interesting. Asked if I'd go to Kelowna and ribbon some trees before the salvage crew starts, see what Monday brings.
Eh buddy ! Nice to see you back in B.C. We (knock on wood thats not on fire) have yet to be put on fire duty thank god. Weve only had just a few short days of "Red Flag" days but we still got all our landings and roads cleaned up while the summer is on us. Things are just now starting to cool down where we are gearing up to go back to work. When the Bull Elk start to Bugle its time to go back to work. Take care.
Bjarne, sure would like to talk you into employing a microphone to catch your voice/words. I've turned my receiving volume up, 100% on both my computer and your video which is the best I can do on my end. I've lost some ability hearing by the work environments throughout my working career, high decibel work environment for sure! Anyhow would like to understand what you talk of when you're educating us, make me happier please. I do enjoy your videos, your felling expertise and choices explained.
Ya I did buy a wireless mic earlier this but couldn’t get it to work. I’ll buy another one. Unfortunately I already have a bunch of videos in editing so it’ll be a while before I’ll have it in a video 🤙
Good to see you back with a chainsaw in your hands!! By the way, you need to learn the difference between toads and frogs! You almost drowned a toad! LOL
Do they have dozers with rome plows? That would save a lot of work on the crews. Never understood why they don't truck in a couple big dozers to make lanes around burnt areas instead of using all that man power. I worked with a fed during the BP oil spill. He was a normal federal employee and on the fire fighting crews when a fire pops up. When the BP oil spill happened they flooded south Louisiana with federal employees from all over the country and it was a cluster fuck everyone out to get a peace of the pie. He told me that's when they make the majority of their money for the year because they can claim so much overtime so I guess that's what's happening there too. Welcome back looking forward to your regular videos.
I remember as a child, we used to walk the local mountains and there were some streams that rarely ran dry, so we’d aim for those. One walk the water apparently tasted sweet, fortunately I’d chosen a different stream that day. Some of my friends who’d chosen the unusually sweet stream, decided the walk up the flow to see what was different. Well a couple of hundred yards up, they found a rotting sheep in the stream. Their faces turned almost as green and blue as the rotting carcass. The rest of us had a good laugh.
Glad to see you back Bjarne,we missed your posts.

Thanks. Ya there's still a lot of fires burning, this was a bad year
Good to hear from you again. Lol that was a wart toad I believe and they don't like water like frogs do.

Hey Bjarne, I was worried about you. Had an idea you were doing wild fire stuff. Great seeing you.

P100 pancake filters work great in that environment. I use the 3M 2091 filters for smoke.
Very interesting, thanks for posting!
I think you knocked the breath out of that frog.
ya looks like it but he was kinda slimy
Interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing.
Hes back!! Woohoo
Was this the Adams lake or the Shuswap lake fire thanks for your help !!
was wondering if you did this type of work, How could you not with the rates for DTA/DTF haha
That toad looked so confused.
He has a story to tell his frog buddies about when God raised him from the ashes and moved him to the heaven pond.
The next time that you go out, I’d suggest wearing your caulk boots just for the safety part. 👍
BTW, just filming the (to you) boring stuff of the firefighting would be something new to us viewers, so I’d film it if it was me.
HE's BACK 😉😉
Awesome. Atta boy. I only wish ... lol. Good work.
Suck that gut in. Get hard man.
Missed the sh@× out of u brother good to c your back WE NEED MORE STUMPS haha jk b safe brother stop the fire
Not sure if you said it in the video, but can the burned trees be used for anything?
For the vast majority they cannot be used for anything except paper pulp maybe. And even then it's not profitable.
Good to see you back with a chainsaw in your hands!!
By the way, you need to learn the difference between toads and frogs! You almost drowned a toad! LOL
Lol ya I guess I do
nuticed Genseng where you lunched
Where is this?
Endelig er du tilbake Bjarne ventet lenge nå men endelig🙂

Amounts to not much more than a bunch of PR feel good bs from the Gov.
Felling partialy burned trees is the most dangerouse felling that there is.
stay safe.God bless
